  1. Surprised they didn't bring in Jason Kelce yet on the Fox side. Terry and Jimmy are both unwatchable and have been for years.
  2. Not mad about it the more it sinks in. Great player at a time who is still very good, but the juice was no longer worth the squeeze. Main takeaway from reading through far more of this thread than I'd care to admit is to be stunned that people seem have a hard time spelling the last name Cook, as in James Cook. Continuing to add an "e" or an "s" to the end of his name after having been on the team two seasons is not only inexplicable, but creates unnecessary risk for typing-related injury.
  3. Man, whoever’s got the job of bathroom cleanup in the men’s room at pretty much any football stadium…woof
  4. Meh - I'll watch in the background but not going to make it an event. This is probably the least interesting matchup possible from a rooting interest. On one hand, you have the Chiefs (enough said), and the other is a 49ers team with all the talent in the world but who can't seem to get it done in the big game recently - annoying in its own right given their talent level across the board. My heart says go 49ers for obvious reasons against the hated Chiefs, but my head is allowing for the possibility that a Chiefs win could be good in the long run if it causes Reid and Kelce to decide to ride off into the sunset on top.
  5. Not just you OP. I don’t think I can stomach the chiefs again so soon after last week’s heartbreak. Will happily tune in to root for Detroit though!
  6. Or maybe, just maybe, he’s just as classless as his obnoxious family and we’ finally saw his true character. Apple doesn’t fall far… Dude was born on third base in both life and football having landed in the perfect spot. The entitlement really showed.
  7. Generally I really like the idea of menus based on opponent’s regional cuisine, but in this case screw the Chiefs! Going Buffalo style but since it’s only January there’s still the guilt to try and stick to new year’s resolutions to eat healthier at least. Probably doing this buffalo style salmon which is actually pretty good. https://cooking.nytimes.com/recipes/1024774-hot-and-tangy-buffalo-salmon?smid=ck-recipe-iOS-share
  8. Understood but he's not the mike. Who's playing next to Dodson if Bernard needs to tag out is where I was going.
  9. If Bernard can somehow miraculously go, have to imagine he may need to be on a pitch count? If so, i'm torn on who tags in for him. Klein has the vet savvy but can't cover while Williams brings the atheticism but is likely to get picked on in his own right given lack of experience. That said, if we can get quality snaps from 43 on even half the snaps I'll take it as a win!
  10. Could go one of two ways I feel. Bills by double digits or 50/50 toss up if within 3
  11. Didn’t think about this aspect but interesting point. Whatever the cause of the shift off the smurf look, glad it happened. Blue on white is classic, clean and pops nicely.
  12. Way to go Josh. Others (cough Mahomes) might not have handled that question with as much grace…
  13. Agree. I was in the camp that already was getting tired of McD’s blunders, and the article only solidified that opinion, Take out the character stuff, which certainly was a bit gratuitous, and a lot of the criticism of his coaching was spot on But props where props are due and McD and the team have obviously done very well since. Maybe, just maybe, it forced at least a little introspection on McD’s part and I’d like to think some good came out of it (e.g McD seeming to trust his players more in this stretch). It was also very likely a unifying event for the team overall to rally around. We’ll probably never know the impact it had on the field, if any, but it could very well have helped light the spark for our current run.
  14. He hurt himself while tripping over his own feet...sounds about right. Good guy who had some great games in spots for us, but he can stay on the bench until he finds a new home next year as far as I'm concerned.
  15. Sorry about your Uncle. Gonna be looking your way for tips if we make it out there for the game!
  16. Its always fun to think about travelling to a new away venue, particularly of teams the Bills don't often play. Seattle jumps out as the most interesting on this list by far for me when taking into account other attractions to check out before/after the game. Curious to find out how loud that stadium actually is, followed by some hikes in the amazing national parks out there. I'm sold, pending dates!
  17. Boggles the mind. Truly a “fan” base that deserves absolutely nothing.
  18. Let’s hope so. Tyreek will only have his game breaking speed for so long, Waddle is very good but not great and Mostert is older as well. Let the fish tie up a boatload of the cap to a noodle armed injury prone QB who can’t win big games. Also, the least they could do is overpay him after actively trying to get him killed last year. Yeesh..
  19. I was in Vietnam/Cambodia the year we broke the drought. Even there and pre-Josh it only reinforced that Bills fans are literally everywhere - we grow like mold lol. It blew my mind at the time. And yes, I got up at 4am to watch the Tyrod Taylor Bills lose 10-3 to Jacksonville before heading off to Angkor Wat. Now I live in Philly, and Eagles fans are always coming up to me saying Go Bills or asking about the team. I do think there’s something to the idea that hardened diehard fans of other teams even in Philly often have a soft spot for us, the Mr. Magoo of NFL franchises lol.
  20. Fair point. On the flip side, isn’t the lack of premium resources allocated towards arguably the second or third most important position on the team in itself a display of poor judgement at some point? The NFL is clearly now a passing league and has been for some time, so relying on late round picks or cheap journeyman free agent signings and hoping for a diamond in the rough doesn’t seem particularly wise if that’s the main strategy. Outside of Diggs obviously and Beasley (at least his first couple years) it’s been pretty much a disaster, although let’s at least hope Shakir continues to develop into a decent #3. To be fair to Beane, not sure how much clout McD has in the draft/free agency process but suspect he has quite a bit of influence. If so, it’s probably more than fair to assume he skews towards adding more high level pieces to the defense given our draft/free agency history, so that could also be a huge factor in the overall lack of WR talent brought in in recent years. To sum up it’s probably a combo of at least 2 of the below 3 things- 1. Lack of WR talent evaluation aptitude (Beane) 2. Outsized focus on allocating resources to the D (McD) 3. inability of the OC dujour to develop/utilize receivers effectively
  21. Scary to think about them getting a decent QB and a receiver or two there. They could turn around pretty quick if they hit in the draft this year.
  22. Sorry for you loss - losing dogs is the absolute worst. Welcome to the Mafia Bernard!
