Good to see the Steelers leading. I'd love to see the Jets — a team with a 40 year old QB and who just gave up what could be a high second round pick on a 32 year old WR — miss the playoffs. That's a ballsy move giving up the second for an old receiver. If they make the playoffs, it will be seen as correct, but if they don't, dumb.

Great adjustments and, after a bad start, great games by Allen, Cooper, and Coleman. Call me petty but after the Bills win, I really want Cooper to have a better (quietly, meaning no social media BS) year than Stephon Diggs. And more team wins. Yes, it's petty and yes, I own it.

I know. But it's refreshing to see One Bills Drive publish criticism of the team. They rarely do that. Especially of the big guys, like Josh and Beane. I can't remember Steve or Chris EVER saying Beane made a mistake in building this team.

Despite rules going too far too help offenses and protect QBs, I think one cause for optimism is the league has a lot promising younger QBs. I remember about 10 years ago or so with Manning, Brading, Big Ben and Rivers aging, there didn't seem like a lot of good young QBs ready to take over when these legends were gone. You had a lot of guys like Mariota in the wings. Not good. I think that's been corrected. Not sure if it's OCs using college-friendly schemes (I don't watch college ball and can't say) or what but we have a lot of good young QBs in the league and that's vital.

I saw this video today. Cosell, I think, is really sharp. And not only does Cosell say this but he says that the Bills plan for WRs was not working and that prompted the trade. Surprising that the Bills marketing team allows for such truthful critiques given that their "reporters" almost never critique either Josh or Beane. Refreshing to get Cosell's honest take here.

Yes, now's not the time to find a better alternative unless we get really lucky. Bass also comes with $7 million dead cap hit if we cut him. It's a bad situation. And it likely will cost us a game or two.

I think guys like Vince Carter can help the cool factor of the Bills and help FAs want to play here. Before Josh, FAs had a low opinion of Buffalo. Any celebrity ambassadors for the team — now and when Josh declines in, hopefully, a decade) — can only help.

I think Josh deferred to Steph but now that he's gone, Josh is now the unquestioned leader of the offense. I think that's worth a lot.

Does a comp pick only depend on what the player signs for, or what he was paid the last contract? Can someone offer a little more insight into the potential comp pick for Cooper? I read somewhere in the thread a 5th. Is that the ceiling or could it potentially be higher?

I only caught the last 40% of the game due to an event (left early to catch the game)... Very glad for the win, big hits, and Josh not turning the ball over but... At least twice I saw a couple Bills players about 4 or 5 years up the sideline, uncovered, and Josh still chose to run. Even if Josh throws it to them and they are quicly tackled, they get at least 6 or 7 yards. And on one of those Josh runs he only got a couple yards. He's either not seeing them or trusting them. Hope whatever it is, it gets cleared up.
