  1. Never gonna happen, especially as he just signed on with a college team but I wouldn't be against it if he got a good O coordinator. We've seen all there is to see with MdD vs Reid in the playoffs.
  2. "Choke" is perhaps too strong (as others have said) but far, far from the best Josh we've seen. Mahomes was better and more clutch.
  3. I think McDermott is a good but not great coach. He's a defensive specialist but our defense cannot stop our greatest adversary in the playoffs. Is drafting and FA partly to blame — meaning we don't have enough talent? Sure, but I don't buy for a second that Beane drafts players and signs FAs without Sean's input and direction. We probably have seen more of Josh's prime years than we will see going forward. I don't know who the replacement should be but I have little faith that McDermott can beat Reid in the playoffs.
  4. I'm not saying Worthy is great or will be but I think at this point, YES, I would trade him for Coleman. He turns those short swing passes and screens into consistent 8-yard gains. That's big. His outside speed is just too fast. I hope he doesn't turn into more but he may. Coleman is not consistently offering anything substantial. I suppose that could change next year but I fear KC is out-drafting us with WRs and D lineman. I hope I'm wrong but tonight when it mattered — the 2025 AFCC — Worthy had a greater impact by a considerable margin.
  5. What's additionally troubling is that Knox is a $14,568,000 cap hit in 2025 with only ($2,404,000) in savings if we cut him ($16,972,000 dead money). So we have two TEs whom we've invested a lot of draft capital and money into and neither is dominant. Both flash and have very good moments but neither has been consistently top tier. I hope Kincaid steps up in year 3. Like most people, I thought he would turn into something special by the end of this year and he hasn't. The good news is overall our offense had out-performed expectations. So it's unusual that our two tight ends have underperformed. Maybe teams are not worried about our boundary guys and keying in more on the middle and short passes and that's why our TEs are not doing great.
  6. Good to see Bills fans treated him with class. I hate hearing stories about fans dumping beer on or fighting with opposing fans. Great to see he sees our home-game experience as the best he's encountered in the league.
  7. I think the ball control aspect helps us be multiple and harder to defend on O. Given our win total and franchise records for points and TDs this year — despite not having an elite receiver — I'd say it's working.
  8. I will not be ashamed of this team and organization if we lose Sunday. But I will still be heartbroken.
  9. (Did a Search and did not find and thought it deserved its own space. Mods, please merge with another thread if you think that's where it belongs.) Just read an article about the exchange between Lamar and Josh after the game. After Josh Allen ended the game with a kneel down, the Bills quarterback made a beeline for Ravens QB Lamar Jackson. As the two embraced, the quarterbacks could be seen exchanging messages. Nothing was caught on camera, but Jackson shared what he told the Bills quarterback following the win. Jackson’s message? Go win. “Great players recognize greatness,” Jackson told the media following the Ravens’ loss. “We both recognized each other, you know? But I told him, ‘Man, go get something, go win something, man. MVP, Super Bowl, do something. I want him to be successful.” I know we're supposed to hate the Ravens but my respect for Lamar, which was already quite high for his playing ability, shot up after reading this. Was it just optics and done to look good? Maybe, but I doubt it. After the monumental weight of a huge playoff loss, MVP-caliber players are emotional and say what they're feeling, I would strongly suspect. https://www.newyorkupstate.com/buffalo-bills/2025/01/ravens-lamar-jackson-has-two-word-message-for-bills-josh-allen-following-divisional-round.html
  10. Tech difficulties. Would not Submit. I've since edited.
  11. Indeed. A fruit basket full of ripe loserfruit.
  12. Texans D impressive so far. Do they have the guys behind Collins to catch balls though?
  13. 24-20 Bills My guess is both Ds play tighter and give up fewer points than expected.
  14. Lots of us thought Dawkins was out of shape based on his off-season vids, but he's a great example of a guy who doesn't look athletic who is. Great game and season. Hope he and the line can keep it up for three more weeks.
  15. Very glad to see KC is just 22nd overall at just 53.85%. But I think those bastards step it up in the playoffs. Hope not but they play their best this time of the year.
  16. Nobody circles the Bills practice facility like Eli Ankou.
  17. Or how a guy paying alimony looks at an ex-wife who just might get married to a new guy.
  18. Thanks. I had the game in the background on a laptop so I didn't follow much of it and missed that.
  19. I wrote months ago that two of the Bills worst nemeses (nemesi?), Kelce and Tyreek, were aging and officially past their prime and no longer a significant threat. Someone told me that Hill's diminished numbers were because of Tua's absence. Well, guess what? Since Tua's return Hill's stats have continued to be underwhelming. Here are his yards per game since the Cards came when Tua returned: 72 80 16 61 48 83 115 (vs Jets) 36 29 105 (vs Browns) 20 He's Ok, but nothing near elite any more. And it ain't all on Tua.
  20. I may be beating a dead horse (or an injured one with a torn ACL), but I really feel that Josh not having to force a quota of targets every game to one guy was gloriously liberating. What an incredible record.
  21. Don't like Josh getting the loss added to his stats but good to see the Pats lose out at the top pick or draft haul if there were to trade it.
  22. Kudos to Shady for saying this outright. Some players would still try to be friends with Brady and not say anything. And yes, it's a very bad look for Brady and the Pats. Not evidence per se but anyone with a half a brain can infer that Brady is paranoid out of experience.
  23. Amari Cooper is a free agent in a couple months. We MUST have a capable boundary WR. This costs money unless we get really lucky in the draft. We can't count on luck for a vital position like that. Everyone agrees that Cook is a good running back. The issue is that this team MUST have a good boundary WR and they cost money. The money people want to pay Cook can — and should go — to a boundary WR, whether that's Cooper or someone else. A similar argument can be made for a one-tech DT and edge rushers. These guys cost money and the Bills free money is thin. The smart thing to do is replace easily and historically replaceable positions with lower draft capital. History says we have a much, much better chance of getting a good running back (running behind a good O-line and playing with Josh Allen) in the 3rd or 4th round than we do getting a starting boundary WR or edge rusher. That's what people are debating. Not whether or not Cook is good or whether (on a team with lots of cap space) he's worth $8 or $10 million. He is — IF YOU HAVE THE MONEY AND DO NOT HAVE BIGGER HOLES TO FILL. That does not apply to this Bills team.
  24. Steve Smith Sr. had some pretty unflattering comments and grades for Keon and says he is "playing out of position" because he is a Z or slot WR and not an X receiver. I don't recall us using him too much in the slot though. Anyone have the percentages for Keon as to his slot and Z numbers vs X?
