  1. In spite of all the BS (IMHO) he causes with his messages and waving goodbye in a Bills uni Twitter bio pic (what a juvenile thing to do) I think it's a huge gamble to think a rookie and Samuels can be our top two WRs this year... So I think he plays one more year and is gone. But who knows. I just wish he'd shut up and focus on doing what team leaders should do.
  2. But @Mango brings up the point, I think, that don't just look at dead cap, look at the NET savings of dead cap vs paying his salary. And I think Mango says that cutting him saves us NET $5 million next year but if we roll over the $19 million in 2024 savings to 2025, that NET savings then is $24 million with Diggs off the roster ($5 million net in 2025 + the rollover of $!9 million savings from 2024 to 2025). So we would have an extra $24 million next year if he's gone. Mango, did I get that right?
  3. Hey Mango, my brain hurts doing the math (or is it the hangover?)... Are you suggesting we roll over the cap savings to 2025 if we cut him June 1? If so, what does that mean for 2024? Do we have to eat dead cap this year? If so, I don't think we have the room to do so without some massive restructures, which many don't want. So how does that work?
  4. Yes, I just sat down and watched all 9 minutes and 59 seconds and I don't change my mind. Stephon talked a lot about himself. How he wants to be in moves. And launch a fashion line. No talk of winning championships, though. He said "where's there's smoke there's fire" implying trade rumors are the result of the team wanting to trade him. He said people get more upset with him when he's quiet. What a bunch of $*** He says he's ready for whatever happens. So what am I supposed to see "in context"? I'd love to see hear him say this — and then stop f****** tweeting: "I love being a Bill and if i had my way I'd retire a Bill. I have no interest in going to any other team. I want to win a Super Bowl with the BIlls. That would be the pinnacle of my career." Full stop.
  5. Ok, I've had a few drinks, I've watched the video on the last page with Kay Adams, and I have to say this: F*** his game playing. F*** him. I'm tired of him purposely seeking out attention and suggesting he wants to leave. Once or twice is acceptable but this is a god***m pattern and he's doing it purposely. I'm tired of it. Really. Go. Go play for a lesser team while your skills are declining and take your stupid social posts with you. I'd love to win our Super Bowl without him.
  6. A post-June 1 trade or release saves $19 million in 2024 according to Spotrac, but hits us in 2025: 2024 Dead Cap: $8,849,000 2024 Cap Savings: $19,005,000 2025 Dead Cap: $22,247,000
  7. Nope. I don't see how we can trade him now the. We're $2 million over, Diggs would account for $31 million dead cap and we still need money for other vets and the rookies. I think there's smoke but no fire.
  8. Can Diggs be traded now but have the deal for post-June 1, meaning could we get any picks now but have it count as a post-June 1 trade for the dead cap? If not, there's no way at all we can absorb that dead cap prior to June 1, is there?
  9. I find this all both funny and sad. Irritating and intriguing. If he's not gone, just shut the hell up on social, at least with posts of him in a Bills uni. If he's gone, I don't care and might welcome the change.
  10. Sorry, I'm not reading this properly and a bit confused... (it doesn't take much)
  11. If a couple weeks ago you asked a lot of us if we'd be good with Beane getting us cap compliant and resigning Jones and getting Samuel and losing Morse and Poyer I think many would've taken it. I would have.
  12. Concerned about safeties the most, and maybe center, but if we get a legit future #1 WR in the draft and maybe a DE that can contribute, IF we stay healthy I think we can equal or better last regular season.
  13. Stef might be gone in 2025, and if he isn't there's no way he's still a number one for two more seasons. We need cheap but highly skilled labour at the position and as much as I like the Samuel signing he won't be the number 1 in two years.
  14. It would be nice to see a Digg's tweet about the Samuel signing... Hell, I'll settle for Stephon's brother making a tweet about the Samuel's signing.
  15. Given our WR and DE situation and our cap I'm not sure paying top bucks for a rotational DT behind Oliver and Jones makes sense.
  16. If you're ever... 1. Drunk 2. Nervous 3. Old You may have experienced ED.
  17. Both generational quarterbacks. I'd say Josh is the better athlete but Patrick has superior processing skills and judgment. Many here probably don't agree and might even hate that. That said, I like Josh better as MY quarterback and when we win a Super Bowl it will be sweeter for me and every Bills fan than any KC championship ever was for their players or fans.
  18. Jones will still be 33 years old at the end of the 2025 regular season. I don't think his age is a big deal for a two-year deal.
  19. Good signing. Not sure about the numbers, but glad he's back. For those concerned about his injuries, his big injury in 2023 was a pec injury, right? I don't see that as a recurring injury or a worry.
  20. Wow, I thought in 2024 NFL good but far from great RBs didn't get those bucks.
  21. He dropped the pen before signing his last name. It fell down a vent so celebrations need to wait.
  22. Aside from Josh Allen, I see elite potential from the following: Kincaid Cook Torrence Oliver Milano (may already be elite) Johnson as nickel CB? A fair number of solid to good players beyond that. If we get a blue-chip WR and one other player, maybe DE or safety, I'd feel a lot better about the number of difference makers on this team.
  23. Wowzers! On the first day of July each year since 2011, Bobby Bonilla, a former New York Mets star who retired in 2001, receives a check worth $1,193,248.20 from the Mets. This arrangement will continue until 2035 when Bonilla turns 72. The ongoing payments stem from a deferred contract buyout agreement made between Bonilla and the team in 2000, ensuring he receives a significant sum for a period of 25 years. In a unique arrangement, the New York Mets decided to buy out Bobby Bonilla's remaining contract of $5.9 million. That's nuts. Nowhere near the total Russ got, but more insane perhaps due to the length of the buyout.
  24. Was his Denver deal one of the biggest swindles in pro sports history? I don't know basketball or baseball enough but would suspect few NFL deals have touched this in terms of overpaying, both salary and draft capital.
