  1. It's a good signing but he's a downgrade who's going to eat up a good amount of cash
  2. I think the roster is better and the team is healthier (assuming Von is fully healthy by mid season). But the schedule is seriously brutal this year and the Jets schedule is great and the way last season ended is taking away hype. But i still see us winning the division. Get at least one home game in the playoffs and then take it from there.
  3. I'm not trying to overreact to a guy who may not even play 50% of the snaps but this is a Super Bowl winning move to me. The top teams live off short term moves like this every year
  4. They are very committed to Brown. I think it's partly because they truly believe in him and partly because they're stubbornly doubling down on that investment. I'd love to see a guy like Wynn come in but I'm doubting it. And I trust Beane but everyone has misses here and there.
  5. I'm not a huge Oliver believer but contract years are a real thing and if he has a great season, we could be holding the Lombardi. If he prices himself out and we get a 3rd round pick, then that's perfectly fine with me. The Hopkins dream is dead so the cap space doesn't matter much to me
  6. This is the first pick I haven't really liked but it's fine after the trade down. I'm always a fan of shooting for huge upside in the 5th round or later. The roster doesn't have a ton of holes but i would have liked a defender
  7. I actually like the player quite a bit but it just doesn't really fill a need. With so few picks, I was hoping to address that hole but we'll see how the rest of the off-season goes
  8. Hopefully this also means a little more commitment to the run game with Cook and Harris
  9. No reasonable front office would draft an olineman who is not a good scheme fit. He'll be fine.
  10. Trade away the 5th and 6th rounders and go get Sanders early in the 3rd and just call it a draft. I know no GM would ever do that but it'd be a damn good 3 picks
  11. Great pick. Bates can start at center if needed. We have 4 good interior linemen now
  12. Good players will fall to our pick. It's possible you could even trade back 3-4 spots and pick up a 5th or 6th
  13. I'm not totally sold in Dorsey but there were a few things working against him last year in my opinion. - Poor offensive line play. This is still somewhat of a concern but I do like the guys that we brought in this offseason. No superstar but we did upgrade here. This is a problem for any coordinator but I think it's especially a problem for a OC trying to break in new concepts into an offense - Gabe Davis health. This isn't really an excuse for his drops but he just never seemed fully healthy. Obviously that's a concern by itself but I think a healthier Davis allows him to run more routes - Lack of a safety valve for JA. I think this is where Kincaid most helps. Rookie TE's struggle but if he can even play 8-10 snaps a game in the slot, he can give us a nice middle of the field option and hopefully he can pick up the NFL TE job quickly and be a factor there too. - I'm a big fan of 2 TE sets. I just think it makes the defense actually have to think about what's coming. I do think we got too predictable last year. We still had a good offense despite that so just becoming a little more unpredictable would be a big help - I also think Dorsey and the coaching staff weren't fully committed to running Dorsey's system. To me I saw almost saw like an 70% commitment to what Dorsey wanted to do and the rest hanging on to Daboll's stuff. Obviously there are going to be similarities between the two but if you aren't fully committed to something new, you are going to see struggles. Dorsey may not be the right answer but if you aren't fully committed to it, you aren't going to see true results. Winning a Super Bowl still comes down to Josh. So giving him more weapons is never a bad thing.
  14. Great post Gunner Kincaid has me excited. I just don't see the Bills trading up for him unless they felt very strongly about a specific role for him. Of course he has to come in, work hard, stay healthy, etc but he's a good player and adds a different dimension to the offense. My biggest fault with the offense last year was that it was too predictable. Kincaid alone can help change that. He's not Kelce but maybe he can be a Hockenson or a Goedert. If so, it's well worth the cost. I loved the first round last night.
  15. I am a believer in Dorsey. I just think he's different from Daboll and last year he did half his thing and half Daboll's thing and it looked disjointed.
  16. How do we feel if he had a season on par with Beasleys best season
  17. I'd rather get a TE who can at least play situationally and maybe more while also still developing than a defender or o lineman who does the same. Get offensive weapons amd figure out the sets
  18. I love the pick. They will show more two TE sets and Kincaid will split out wide. I love Knox and you did pay him pretty good money but Kincaid is a stud. Also the more safety valve options you give to Josh, the better.
  19. I would say trade back but the prices for trading back haven't even been that steep so I'm not even sure that's worth it. Grab a DT and try to move Oliver in a Hopkins trade
  20. Yeah I'm here in the draft room and I asked Beane to trade up for JSN and he told me to go home
  21. At least this hopefully takes Balt out of the Hopkins discussions. But AZ might be dumb enough to hold onto him throughout they entire rebuild
  22. I just hope whoever we draft gets a chance to play a lot from day 1
  23. There are a few players still out there that are really good but don't quite fill a need for a team that is only one or two players away but I think they'll be tempting for Beane and McD
  24. Gotta get ahead of the chargers. Partly I want JSN. Partly I want to go to bed
  25. Go get JSN
