  1. CB in the 1st would make me queezy for sure...uggh...even McD can't be that dumb.
  2. Gimme Legette, Polk, Burton, Walker, Baker...etc. I'm gonna put my confidence in the FO. Wouldn't be surprised Brady gets Thomas nor surprised at McD getting Latu. Hoping for the latter myself.
  3. How's this? BRANDON BEANE will get us 4 picks within the 1st 100. Latu, Sweat and two WRs...it shall Beane.
  4. Which is why we need to get Latu 1st. I'm gonna trust BB to get a good complimentary duo of WRs. I could go with several options. I gotta stop re-reading all the profiles and just relax til the draft. I would bet money BB will create at least 2 additional picks for day 2. I would gladly use next yrs. 1st.
  5. I agree and heard quite a bit of talk about the communication issue. I also believe Edwards is actually a better LG than McGovern. Running left this year is gonna be bread and butter. Also, I think Cyrus is gonna become dominant thanks to the schooling he got from the likes of Wilkins.
  6. When we land Latu, Sweat and Maason Smith, we'll forget about Reddick. He's due for an injury. I really wanted Huff.
  7. Only 2 picks in the top 127 could be why and that really sucks.
  8. There's also been talk about Simmons being available post draft. I wouldn't mind Hyde back. I do however think we can find 2 quality prospects later in the draft...hopefully.
  9. If this looks to be a thing he won't be the pick. I like Bleacher Report scouting reports and one thing I like to look for is the comments that the prospect looks to make himself available to the QB. To me that is a must have work ethic.
  10. Or let's say Chop or Darius are there at 28...Would AZ, move up from 35 for 77 or 90? Or would GB 41 and 88? ATL. for 43 and 79? Or even dropping 3 spots to SF for a late 3rd comp. pick? Like I said in a post before, my ideal is moving up maybe 2 spots with TB for a 4th (Latu) and next years 1st to GB for 41 and 88. I'd throw back a 5th to make that happen. We end up with 4 picks in the top 100, plus rds. 4-7 to find those hidden gems at CB/S and OL. Latu Sweat 2WRs then BPA the rest of the way.
  11. I'm looking at it a little differently. Sure use next years 1st,but do it to get a 2nd and 3rd. There are a few teams with 2 of both. If I'm moving up in the 1st, it's only gonna be a couple of spots where I can use a 4th.
  12. I should have added the caveat of BB using next years 1st to create another 2nd and 3rd. We won't sit idly by from 60 to 128.
  13. If I'm BB, I'M trading a 4th to TB and grabbing Latu. If it weren't for the injury history...prior to 2 years of being the best DE in the country, he'd be a top 10 pick. There's no DE even in the same ballpark. Diggs may have a pro bowl year and be back in 25. Miller won't. Latu would be a steal. I could live with McConkey and Walker. Combining Latu with Groot and A.J while learning from Von...yum.
  14. But after listening to the radio, it looks like there's at least a dozen Olimen worthy of higher rd. picks. We gotta dress, what 46-53? We should concentrate on impact players and not players for other teams to poach...JMO We have an almost entire Oline in waiting. We need a Bruce Smith, Eric Moulds/Lee Evans or Leonard Smith. I say F=it and use next year's 1st to do it. We need to make an extra 2nd and 3rd this year!
  15. Gimme: Latu Legette Sweat Burton and/ or Walker M. Smith and do what you want after this.. Javon Solomon... Cedric Johnson J. Crumedy Feel free to throw in a couple Safeties and CBs.
  16. I voted NO....However I would trade next years 1st to one of the teams with two 2nds and two 3rds....and, if there's say a Chop or QB sitting there at 28, I'm looking to trade a couple of spots to SF for one of their compensatory 3rds and taking Legette. That would give us: 31 SF 41 GB 60 88 GB 100? SF 128 133 6 picks through 4 rounds. This is the year for BB to really build a quality young core for the future. Worth no. 28 next year? Hell yeah!
  17. K.C.should have never got to Balt. We should have won by 2 scores. The drops killed us and Bass couldn't stop turtling.
  18. Or at least put provide some evidence to the premise of your title..
  19. Just listening to BB on the radio. I'd be willing to bet we get Trey back by June 3rd for maybe a 3rd of the money we saved post June 1st. ( 9 mil.) I may be wrong, I can't remember if he said 9 or 10. Hey, I'm all for it.
  20. I believe Beane will create picks. There's no way he goes from 60 to 128 sitting on his hands. This draft is huge in establishing a good solid core on both sides. Since there are a few teams with more than one pick in rds. 2 and 3, I can see him selling next years 1st to create another 2nd and 3rd. Latu/Murphy 28 Sweat 41 Burton 60 Walker 88 Smith 128
  21. I'd be stoked if they could draft Sweat and Maason Smith. Oliver, Jones, Johnson, Sweat and Smith....(who can play inside or out.) Miller, Groot, A.J., Latu and Javon Solomon. That's 10 Dline. Maybe later in the draft we can P.S. stash guys like Cedric Johnson and Crumedy. I'm hoping for a shift in Defensive philosophy. ie: 4-3 base and sending a LB on every play...or a 5-2-4....and/or more line stunts. I pray that McD at some point realizes that we have to be able to play both zone and man. He's gonna have to trust those 1 on 1 match ups at some point if he wants to get pressure up front. I really want to see some innovation and freshness to the defense, especially week to week and opponent specific.
  22. Hopefully that's why he slides within a couple of picks. 2021 missed due to neck injury and couldn't get cleared for 22. Went to UCLA and crushed it for 2 yrs. This guy is gonna be on the ESPN a ton this year. That whole line is gonna get nasty. We need to establish a very good young core on the Dline this year!
  23. I for one am not worried about the offense. I'm sure Beane isn't done. Nobody can predict what he'll do at the draft. And...I'd like to mention the huge number of game changing drops last season, including the last game played. 2 sources of those are gone. Cook will get better catching hopefully and I won't post the replay off the Diggs drop. F..in brutal We should have beat K.C. by 2 scores. We need to hope we hit on Impact type of DL players. If McD wants to try to stick to rush 4, he better have the horses cause with the likely line up in the secondary as it stands, we're gonna need it. Look how SF built their line. They had good success in the 1st half of the SB. Spags adjusted in the 2nd half and Wilkes didn't. We're gonna be forced to blitz a lot more and there's a fine line with that. I digress, gummy kicking in.
  24. Some mocks have us trading to 26 (for a 4th) and getting Latu. NFL.com pro comparison...T.J.Watt. We need that and it could be a HR....for years. 2023: Won the Lombardi Award (nation's top college OL/DL) and Ted Hendricks Award (nation's top DE). First-team Associated Press All-American.
