Yeah but supposed issue with tackling...willingness and ability. There's no CB for me at 30. I would rather take a chance on Porter at 62 and look to get 1 or 2 later.
Strong / Alexander / Bryant etc. I think those will be just as good or better than the few that are ranked higher right now.
I have that same feeling. 6'3 200 4:30 40 36.5" vertical. Willing blocker, secure tackling and ball hawk ability. Former receiver and track record holder. Lack of experience yes, but one more year in college probably gets him mid 1st...with this class anyway.
Darien Porter pick 62. Address Dline 1st 2 picks. Joe Marino has a good write up on wgr550 website. Unteachable talents and traits. Should be a day 1 starter.
30 Walter Nolan
56 Landon Jackson
62 Darien Porter
Billy Bowman .....find a 3rd 2026 2nd 2025 last 5th and 6th
109 Donte Thornton
132 Deone Walker
170? Shaun Doulac
I agree. I actually think Nolen will make an immediate impact. I think he could be more of a Chris Jones than the other 2. On OBL yesterday they were talking about not worrying about 1T, get the guys that are versatile and can rush. I agree with that. To me it's nothing more than a difference of 10-20 lbs.
Grant Harmon and Nolen would all have to be gone for me to trade back. I could see them taking Scourton in that case, however trading to 36 with the Jags for pick 70 would be ok. They also have 88. Probably have to throw in a couple back, but if all the Dline picks are gone, I would do this instead of a corner at 30.
Not too much of a gap and a premium 3rd. I guess I wouldn't complain with Starks or Emmanwori, but they'd have to be able to start week one.
IMO the first pick has to start day 1. I do not want someone that is going to rehab through the summer and I really don't want someone with an injury history.
With someone like Jahdae Barron maybe but I'd really hate to base a pick on 2023 like these other guys...although I'd pick Porter hopefully at 62.
I am all for getting a 3rd round pick but not trading back to do it. It's time to pluck a pick from next year. A couple of late picks plus 26 2nd?
I would prefer using pick 29-32 next year to move up from 62 and gain a 3rd. It sure looks like Cook will walk next year, so...
I voted Grant. Fully use every pick from 30 to 132.
I think they'll be more than a few later rd. CBs that will be just as good as those. I would rather get Porter at hopefully 62 and get 2 later. Bryant / Zy Alexander / Dorian Strong etc. Draft a Dline 1st.
CB at 30 if Barron falls..I'll fire up a rumor. Otherwise Grant / Harmon / Nolen , DE at 56 then GET A 3RD! Thornton, then Zy Alexander (always get a good one from LSU) or
IDK,,,,13 days.
Shaq Lawson was drafted 16th IIRC That's all I got on that. My D crush for somewhere later is Jared Ivey. Big Bad Brother. I bet they'll build this line out of dudes who can play anywhere on the line. Jones does that, during a series no? I just hope they draft the Hell outta Dline. It could all of a sudden mirror our Oline sitch.
Very good and very deep.
Gummie's kickin in my bad.
