  1. It's a real problem if they get Rodgers with all the talent on that team.
  2. Gabe's career catch % is 55.3%. Here's his season breakdown: 2020: 56.5% 2021: 55.6% 2022: 51.6% That's not good enough under Daboll or Dorsey. We need a WR2 or better yet a second WR1, like the Bengals have going. https://www.statmuse.com/nfl/ask/what-is-gabriel-davis-catch-percentage-career#:~:text=Gabe Davis has caught 55.3 percent of targets in his career.
  3. If they get a call to trade for a good WR2 (ie: Pittman or comparable) they should listen.
  4. Beane basically said yesterday we aren't getting any new toys for Christmas, so stop window shopping, you'll only be disappointed.
  5. WR#2 & O-Line need upgrades are higher priorities than safety. We need Weapons for Josh. Can't keep neglecting the O, like Green Bay has done to Rodgers.
  6. None of the players you mentioned played offense, so it doesn't fix the only scoring 10 pts problem. Excuses can be made if people want for the D. But the O isn't good enough & needs to be fixed. Beane's presser is discouraging bc he seems to think there is no problem & sounds like he's content to run it back. If he does, don't hold your breath that they'll get a different outcome next year.
  7. In related news Russian State TV says while there was a slight set back, the special military operation is going well & they expect victory next year if they just stay the course.
  8. Davis 54.2% catch percentage McKenzie 64.6% catch percentage We had to bring back Beasley & Brown a month ago at Josh's request bc the Offense was not clicking. They barely survived Miami twice, had to rely on 2 run backs by Hines to beat NE, & frankly struggled to beat anyone not named the Chicago Bears in the second half of the season. This was NOT a 1 bad game issue, contrary to what Beane said in his presser. This team was not a legit contender for a while & finally the warts were put on full display. Question is what are they going to do to fix it. Beane's press conference does not instill confidence that they're going to do much of anything bc, ya know it to as just 1 bad game & all. As Richard Pryor once said: "who ya gonna believe, me or your lieing eyes?"
  9. Yeah interesting that yesterday Beane said you can't overreact to the last game, you have to look at season trends (which I don't disagree with). But last year he used the last game to make Gabe the #2 WR, despite the fact that his catch % last season (2021) was 55.6%. His doing an impression of the Titanic Captain, everything's fine most of the voyage has gone great, is a bit jarringly obtuse. (Not that we're the Titanic, more Gilligan's SS Minnow on a 3 hr never ending tour that doesn't reach it's championship destination)
  10. I wish one of the reporters had pointed out Gabe Davis had a 51.6% catch percentage in the regular season which isn't a 1 off but an entire season trend & asked him is that good enough & couldn't you do better at WR2. Beane kept making it sound like everything's fine - not to over react to 1 game. But that was a season long problem. Really bothers me that he never conceded that anything needed to be changed, & made it sound like everything was fine they just had 1 bad day at the wrong time. It was not an honest evaluation of the team & doesn't bode well for next season. He was way more defensive than usual.
  11. Sounds like Beane feels that game was a 1 off, don't over react. & is going to keep all the coaches & as much of the same roster as possible but tweak where he can w/ low cost free agents & the draft. Might work on the lines. But no major changes, largely run it back next year.
  12. Sean Payton only won 1 w/ all the talent he had. Not so sure he doesn't just turn into the second coming of the post-Giants Bill Parcells.
  13. We had the Aaron Rodgers Offense of the last couple years, great QB, 1 great WR & notta lot else.
  14. I like Eisen, don't hate the idea, but not sure it's as simple as this. Definitely need an upgrade @ WR2, & we don't have a lot of $ to get Barkley, upgrade OLine, new WR2, keep Edmunds, etc... We'll see what Beane can do.
  15. Lol. If I thought they did, I wouldn't be saying he needs our help w/ phone calls to drum up interest. Someone said his contract is up anyway. We'll see.
  16. Who cares. That's trash talking, worse is said on the field every game. They owned the Bills & so they get to say whatever they want. If Bills don't like it then beat them the next time they play them, that's it. I'll be routing for Cincy the rest of the way. I was at the game in Cincy, the way they & their fans handled that was classy. It was a cool city & their fans we're very cool to interact & talk ***** with. Plus if they win I know we're 18 pts away from it, but if they loose then we're even further away from a championship then we think.
  17. I actually remember this play they stayed like that through the snap & Burrow tossed an easy 1st down to Chase who was top of the screen. It was talked about a ton this morning by Howard & Jeremy on WGR who were saying we rushed 7 but gave an 8 yd cushion on 4th & 4. It was odd.
  18. Frazier's not getting fired. So we need to get him hired as a HC instead. Someone get the Cardinals # & let's start making calls.
  19. Until Allen, McD or Beane say it's a big deal, it's just not that big a deal. & Nothing some time away to reset won't fix. We have larger problems to fix at the moment. Also Digg's tweet is nothing compared to the Cowboys tweet blaming Dak for their loss: https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/ftw/2023/01/23/cowboys-official-twitter-account-crushed-dak-prescott/51216231/
  20. Right, but after all that, they will be in a cap crunch too & not be able to aquire free agents as easily as they can now. They will be in the position the Bills are currently in. It always gets harder once you get passed rookie deals. It's interesting for them that Burrow & Higgins are the same draft, then Chase is not far afterwards. Makes it harder, buy not impossible to space out. So they'll be good for a while, but this stuff could get interesting. Regardless, Cincy will be an issue for the foreseeable future.
  21. Close only counts in horse shoes & hand grenades. The goal was a Superbowl. It's not about 13 regular season wins it's about a SB win. Diggs tweet doesn't single anyone out, doesn't say Allen or anyone else, it says he doesn't like loosing. Take emotion out of it. Allen made motions in clear frustration yesterday when a receiver didn't go the way he wanted them to on a route (as he's done at other points). But no one gets on Allen about that. Nor should they. Allen hasn't said it's an issue, nor has McD. Until they say it is this is an over reaction. 😉 Hopefully it all blows over after a week away on a beach.
