  1. But are they better in comparison to other AFC teams this year or have those teams jumped them? (Bengals, KC, Miami, Jets if they get Rodgers, Chargers, Cleveland w/ Watson, Jags, etc...) That's the real question. I don't feel like they've improved by as much as some of these other teams have & don't feel as good about them going into this draft as I did about the team last year. But I'm also down on some players like Gabe, & the coaching ie: Dorsey & having McD wear 2 hats. I feel a regression coming on. Years of disappointment has trained me into a pessimist I guess. I hope I'm wrong.
  2. Um I believe they used the extra $ on some guy named Von Miller. & the restructure was to get below the cap.
  3. Good move. Makes sense.
  4. Eh, what's $0.14 billion? Inflation. In for a penny in for a pound. Get'R done. 😉
  5. Since there's not as many WR considered 1st round, there's a better chance they're gone by 27. In which case if there's a TE they grade as a 1st rounder vs a WR they have graded as a 2nd, you take the TE. (Since the thread scenario only allows a WR or TE pick). Personally, Id rather have a WR2 upgrade, but if Beane has a TE he has valued higher @ 27, then he's got to take them. (Again we're stuck w/ Beane's evaluation of "value" since he's the guy making the pick)
  6. The point was, while most of us, myself included would take the WR, this draft reportedly has much better TE talent (best in a long time). & Given Beane's comments that he wants the best weapon regardless of position (he even used TE as his example), it may be that TE is the way to go given what's available. I want a WR, but if the better talent is a TE & they want to try running the NE Gronk/Hernandez offense, I'll be intrigued.
  7. I'd rather a better WR 2. But this draft sounds like it has better TE. So I'll take a Kelce type player. As Beane said we want the best weapon.
  8. 7 round mocks are like March Madness Brackets, frustrating & wrong... but fun.
  9. I don't love this idea. I can't think of a team that won a Superbowl without an offensive or defensive coordinator, no matter how involved the HC was. They're trying to hold the spot open for Frasier to return in a year instead of doing what's best for the team this year. Time to move on, name a full time dedicated D-coordinator. No one is irreplaceable. Lost some respect for Beane & McD w/ this bush league move.
  10. Yes!!! Awesome!!! Is he any good?
  11. At some pt. Rodgers might get offended that the Jets only think he's worth a 3rd rounder. Ballsy Jets, ballsy.
  12. Don't need a set coordinator, just have a bunch of guys do it. Just like NE Offense last year. It'll be fine.
  13. Ray Lewis or Bruce Smith in their prime. That's about it.
  14. & the Colts get their Hines replacement.
  15. Well inflation was really eating into the buying power of his last contract, so he needed a bump up. Poor guy.
  16. Worse comes to worse, he can lay down & make a hell of a speed bump.
  17. It's looking like LB is the biggest hole. Still need a WR2 upgrade. But I think (based on his press comments) Beane wants best offensive weapon available, which in this draft may be TE.
  18. That depends, if it's lingerie your giving her for XMAS 🤩... Then NO this is nothing like that. But if it's what your getting... yeah, this is pretty much that.
  19. Folks want the Gronk - Hernandez 1 - 2 punch the Pats had years ago. & With a reportedly weak WR class combined w/ a reportedly strong TE class, there's some that feel this is the best path forward.
  20. No one wants to see how the sausages get made. Just get on w/ it already.
  21. Love Poyer. Plays tough, with heart & passion. Glad he's a Bill.
  22. The key is IF he uses them. Heard a lot of the same hype about Hynes & Shakir last season. They barely got used. He seems like another, faster version. But if they use, I mean don't use him, the same, who cares. Hopefully that disconnect between Beane's purchases & Dorsey's usages has been fixed & then you are correct about the result. But until I see it, I have trouble believing it. Still, I hope you're right.
  23. Sean, got ya another gadget guy. Great Brandon, put him over there on the pile w/ Mackenzie, Hines & Shakir who we aren't using. Thanks.
  24. He's talking about wanting to know what free agents Beane's going to bring in. I like the guy, has heart, loves the team & embraces the community. Does need to work on the hands though
  25. 3 years $72 million...
