  1. I think the Pats are going to win this game and fairly easily especially when you look at what they did against the Jets a few weeks ago. And for all the talk about the Jets/Bills/Dolphins, the Patriots are quietly lurking already in the playoffs if they ended today and ready to make their move with games left at home against all 3 division teams + in Buffalo in the season finale which could have massive ramifications for the division and/or playoff seeding. Their remaining schedule is pretty favorable overall with the only real tough one left at the Vikings in a few weeks. That defense is looking scary again and Mac Jones and the offense are still figuring everything out, if they start playing better look out.
  2. Truly depressing and sad but unfortunately at this time of year you can't avoid the flu/cold/covid/etc. Better hope some of these guys are healthy enough to play sunday and likewise it don't spread to Allen and other key players later this week.
  3. Ironically the year KC won the SB he got hurt they won the SB, but if that's what some fans are hanging their hopes on so be it. Harsh reality for the Bills and the rest of the NFL, is that the Chiefs are going to be in the SB picture every year as long as Mahomes is healthy similar to the Patriots. And it's pretty scary that Mahomes is having his best season ever in a year that they were supposed to be in 'transition' with all the new faces on offense and defense.
  4. But the problem is they always find a way to win because of having a generation talent at QB like Mahomes. On paper the obvious choices for a potential loss are this week @ LAC and @ CIN in a few weeks. Problem is KC seems to play even better on the road and both those teams are dealing with injuries as well, especially the Chargers who seemingly have lost half their roster already. Seattle is also interesting later in the year even at home for the Chiefs. At the end of the day though we shouldn't even be in position to have to worry about what other teams do but even if the Chiefs do lose one more game does anybody believe the Bills are going to win out against what might be the toughest remaining schedule in the league? I still see 12-5 best case for the Bills and the Chiefs aren't dropping 3 more games so it's a moot point.
  5. Both the Chiefs and Rams were able to run when they needed to during their SB winning seasons which is what this team has pretty much also publicly said needs to be done. (i.e. not running the ball more, but getting more out their running game when they do). Also looking back at the Patriots, they actually had some pretty strong running games even if by committee, particularly in Brady's earlier years when they leaned more on dominant defense/ST and efficient ball control type offense. But at the end of the day I still have no problem with this being a pass first team as they should be, it's just sad that big runs from the RB's are few and far between and they can't seem to convert a short yardage play if their life depended on it.
  6. One thing to keep in mind about this list is that despite the listed tenure, pretty much all of them won a SB within their first 5 years with the team. It's also why they've been given benefit of the doubt and a much longer leash in the case of guys like Tomlin, Carroll, etc. This is what McD has working against him right now as he's in year 6 here which has always been my issue with fans that say continuity matters and that we should keep him around no matter what as if he's in the same category as other proven SB winning head coaches. If he does deliver a SB this year than it's more than valid, but if he doesn't it's foolish to entertain the idea that's he's peaked and it's time to upgrade to someone that can not only get this team to the playoffs, but to that next level.
  7. I had a feeling the Rams would not live up to the hype and be disappointing this year (also why I didn't overreact to beating them in week one) but they are looking like they will be the #1 overall pick mix right now which has to really suck because they don't own that pick and will likely give the lions 2 picks in the top five next year. At the end of the day though their all in approach still worked and they got what most of us here covet, a SB victory. And I would easily go back to being a bad team for next 5+ years like the rams might be heading towards for the same thing.
  8. Because if he was asked to restructure and/or take a pay cut his camp may have taken that personally especially in light a serious injury so he's the one now refusing to play. Again, look at what all the talking heads in Buffalo have been saying in terms of how he looks on the field during practice. They are even scratching their heads as to why he's not back in the lineup and why this team has been very evasive about the situation when pressed on it. Regardless the time is now to get him back on the field before things spiral further out of control and it's going to take him at leas 2 or 3 games to get into true 'football shape' anyway so can't judge him if he's just as bad as some of these rookies have been out there in recent weeks.
  9. I'll admit that I'm very surprised by this as well and you have to wonder if it's a direct indictment on this teams coaching/defensive scheme or simply just luck on a bad team whose at least fighting and trying to be aggressive with what talent they have. Realistically it's somewhere in between because Hughes collective body of work (specifically his last 6 years in Buffalo) suggests this is some sort of anomaly and not really who Hughes is despite all the 'pass rush' win rate metrics we've seen to justify his putrid sack totals in recent years.
  10. I think a lot of it has to do with Mc's record against playoff/teams with winning records. To his credit he's 3-3 so far this year, but there are also 5 games left against similar teams (Pats x2, MIA, NYJ, CIN) which is reason for serious concern and doubts about where this team is ultimately going to finish. And assuming you win against the 3 teams left with bad records right now (DET/CHI/CLE) and go 3-2 in the others, that's still only a 12-5 finish which is likely not good enough for the division title and a WC spot at best. Bottom line, this team really needed to seize the opportunity this year and be a 13/14 win team at minimum to have a real shot at the #1 seed but based on what we've seen since the KC game 12-5 is being very optimistic at best.
  11. And this is also why the Bills would have been smart to adequately address the position in the offseason. Also have to wonder if they have asked him to restructure or take a pay cut which would explain what's happening behind the scenes right now with White still not playing.
  12. It's easier said than done with then biggest problem with this team right now is point 1 & 2. This is why I'm very concerned we could be heading into another Colts type of game from last year and when the Browns have been successful this year it's getting a head of steam early and buliding a lead so they can commit to their strength which is a dominant physical running team like the aforementioned colts game last year.
  13. The bottom line is this team don't trust their oline or RB's which is a big problem. And even when things are going well, once something bad happens (i.e. the singletary fumble) they completely abandon any real effort to run and go full JA17 time which is why this hero ball crap and turnovers in bunches is happening. It's just very puzzling that this team has spent multiple 2nd and 3rd round picks on RB's in recent years, and apparently were willing to give up even more for CMC before the trade deadline and can't seem to figure out how to achieve any semblance of balance on offense.
  14. Regardless of if/when White comes back this season. At this point I would not be surprised if he's released or traded in the offseason especially since this secondary has fared reasonably well in his absence when everyone else has been healthy (specifically Poyer) going back to last year. Still think it's a myth they would have won in KC with him too because of his own history of failure in big games against top QB's/offenses. There are going to be a lot of tough decisions regardless given the current cap situation heading into the offseason and decisions on pending FA's that need to be made.
  15. If the delay in return is from White and/or his camp then the OP is correct with this premise. But something tells me it's this overly conservative coaching and medical staff not making this move and at this point they are saving White for a playoff run that may never happen. Either way this goes back to Beane's gross negligence of not adequately addressing DB in the offseason and bringing in a proven veteran that should have been starting from day one.
  16. I've said all along, anything short of a SB and you have to take a hard look at this current regime and what they truly bring to the table going forward. And if a nightmare scenario plays out and this team doesn't even make the playoffs not sure how the Pegula's can simply accept that. Even backing into a WC spot and going one and done is the same thing IMO. Just remember, in years past nobody wanted the Buffalo job for many obvious reasons including previous ownership. But if I'm a top HC candidate and see McD fired after this year, I'm begging my agent to secure an interview with the Bills and you will see every top candidate out there positioning themselves for the job.
  17. Correct, I have only ever posted here under the filthy beast alias. I'm not even aware of any other Bills forums but would love to check them out if you can recommend one.
  18. Nobody should blame Allen for anything at this point because without him this is probably a 3 win team right now which is also a direct indictment on this regimes failures. I think the issue with most fans is they really wanted to believe that he ascended to top of the NFL last year in the playoffs despite getting sent home in 2nd round by a better team/coach/QB. And the media also bought into this false narrative which created unrealistic expectations to begin with. At this point though the sooner Allen turns on this coaching staff and demands change from ownership the better because if he hasn't figured it out already this regime is going to ruin what prime years he has left especially with the same predictable schemes and playcalling that continues to expose a poor offensive line and supporting cast around him which is why the turnovers are now coming in bunches.
  19. To be honest, my life is not that interesting. Have a lot of commitments with work given my career and position, family, etc. so barely enough time to post here as it is, let alone under multiple aliases. Pretty sure the forum moderators would have figured that out a long time ago too if that was the case. Also I'm not propping anybody up, just giving due credit for a very quick turnaround in South beach and in hindsight dumping Flores was the right move despite the ridiculous accusations he made.
  20. I've seen this play debated all day on social media and Lewis saying he should have knocked it down. Here's the thing, if the coaches didn't tell him to do that to begin with in that situation it shows they are bad at their jobs and need to go. If they did tell him to do it, then he didn't listen and should be cut immediately to send a message. At least that is what a franchise serious about competing for a championship would do.
  21. Because I'm not a Miami fan, but I'm also not a hater because they are yet another team that has seemingly done a 360 in just one season with a new HC and other key roster changes. But yet in Buffalo, the mafia keeps saying that we have to keep Beane and McD around no matter what like they are messiahs on hallowed ground that have delivered multiple SB wins to this franchise.
  22. I disagree, especially when you look around the rest of the league including our own division and the injuries the Jets and Dolphins have dealt with. It's just another poor excuse to deflect from Beane and McD's failures that they are no longer going to be able to run from especially with the brutal schedule still left compared to the last few years when they were able to pull out of a funk.
  23. Yes because they have a real HC, rising star QB and roster oozing with talent despite a bunch of injuries. You know everything that misled fans and media claim this team is which is really depressing quite frankly.
  24. When I posted this last week was hoping that it was a longshot scenario, but my gut feeling has been telling me that this team played their meaningless SB again in KC ever since the 2nd half of the Packers game when things have started to unravel. And if that's the case it's going to cost this team dearly down the stretch because unlike last year there's not a bunch of bad teams to bail McDermott and Allen out. Buckle up because it may very well be a dismal holiday season if this team has truly been owned and exposed as frauds.
  25. I'm happy for Miami and their fans. They have a bright young HC that has completely transformed their culture and Tua is a legit MVP candidate right now likely battling it out with Mahomes down the stretch in terms of who ultimately wins it. Also I agree with Hill, he's posting insane numbers and can argue he's as much an MVP of the league as Tua is. Will be very surprised if they lose more than one game the rest of the way and I think they sweep the Bills this year unfortunately.
