This might be the conspiratorial part of my brain being irrational, but I think the league wanted to keep Miami relevant and we got hosed by the refs this game.

It was borderline, but I would have called it. His head got yanked down with the helmet. I'm guessing the ref didn't see it, because they would normally call that I think.

In my mind the facemask penalty exists because it is a safety issue, not necessarily because it gives an unfair advantage (although it does). From the perspective of safety they should call it no matter what the intent is. You could nearly rip a players head off by accident with a facemask with zero intent while making a tackle. I agree that it’s a matter of degree on whether it should be called. I think they got rid of the 5 yard facemask for that reason (so small incidental facemasks don’t get called).

I think every team should have 2 or 3 "go for two" plays that they practice every week and have down perfect. It should be so smooth that it's basically automatic. I guarantee you that the KC Chiefs do this and could score a 2 point conversion with their eyes closed. That 2 point play the Bengals ran was vanilla and easy to defend.

I'm really surprised they didn't call the hit to the head on Burrow. The guy pulled his face mask all the way down. That's pretty much an automatic call.

I'm saying play for OT. The Ravens would have to get into really short FG range to win in regulation still (like under a 40 yard FG in 30 seconds) because Tucker stinks this year.

I don't think the Bengals ran a running play for the final 10 minutes of the game. Kind of makes you one-dimensional for the 2 point conversion.

I don't really get that roughing the passer from that replay. Was it for landing on the QB?

I actually think he did have the first down easily, but it might have been an incompletion. Ball bobbled and hit the ground on his way down. Unless they are saying he already had the catch before going down.

He should have had an INT at the beginning of that last drive, which would have probably led to a loss. He's playing well, but there is some luck involved as well.

If Hamilton is done for the season the Ravens aren't going to win their division.

Why would you take a timeout with 10 seconds until the 2 minute warning? It only saves you 10 seconds vs the full play clock on the play after the 2 minute warning.

I've noticed a lot of these coaches really struggle at math. Like 30 seconds > 15 seconds.

Ravens might win with a FG as time expires.
