  1. I tend to think McDermott runs the football side of things including some personnel duties that might usually go to the GM and Beane handles contracts, finances, the cap and some other GM duties (putting out feelers for trades, managing the scouts). McDermott hired Beane which is kind of bizarre, and both seem to be peers in the org chart reporting directly to Pegula. I agree that Kim’s health issues have caused problems in how they expected to run things. I think Pegula found McDermott through some sort of third party consulting firm. It’s honestly kind of a mess if things aren’t going peachy. Who has the authority to fire who? Do McDermott and Beane go as a pair? Considering his personal circumstances does Terry just punt the decision and give everybody another year? Another wrinkle is the need to sell expensive PSLs for the new stadium over the next year. If the team continues to slide a change might have to happen to encourage sales. We have no cap space for a splashy UFA, so maybe a splashy HC instead? Harbaugh?
  2. Who missed multiple wide open receivers? I don’t remember that.
  3. Refs will never admit fault. They will never do anything to undermine their authority or the notion that they are infallible. The number of times I've seen a referee/official/umpire admit fault across all professional sports in my life can be counted on two hands.
  4. Their roster is terrible. Not sure what any HC is supposed to do with that.
  5. Steelers lose to Ravens, and Seahawks. They finish 11-6. They grab a wild card spot. Colts lose to the Raiders, Steelers and the Texans. They finish 9-8. Browns lose to the Jags, Rams and Texans. They finish 10-7 (I think they will actually lose more than this). Texans lose to the Broncos. They finish 11-6. They snag a wild card spot. Broncos lose to the Lions and split with the Chargers. They finish 10-7. — Bills get the third wild card in this scenario at 11-6, and there aren’t any major upsets. At 10-7 we miss on tie breakers to the Browns and Broncos think, but I think the Browns are going to finish worse than 10-7 and the Broncos could easily drop another game (like vs Texans).
  6. The Bills will not miss the playoffs if they go 11-6. That is just unnecessarily pessimistic. - I wouldn’t be surprised if the Browns don’t win another game. - Houston is very inconsistent and eeking out wins/losses on final drives. - The Colts and Steelers are playing over their heads right now. Nobody would be surprised if one of them starts stacking losses even with soft schedules. 11-6 will make it no doubt. It doesn’t matter though, because there is no way we win out.
  7. He knew it was done when they only got a FG. He's seen this movie before. He's had front row seats actually.
  8. My favorite was the most textbook blatant block in the back I've ever seen on a punt return 10 feet in front of the ref that went uncalled. Even blatant special teams penalties (which they called at least 2 on the Bills) weren't getting called on the Eagles! It kept the game close when I feel like we really could have pulled away. I think the second false start on Kelce was BS, and the roughing the passer in OT was an Allen flop. But if the officiating was even from the start I don't think it would have gotten to that anyway.
  9. Next year we have only 4 defensive lineman signed. Ed Oliver, Baby Groot, Von Miller and Kingsley Jonathan (lol). We will have no WR #2 (say what you will about Davis, he is a warm body in a roster slot). Hyde and Rapp will be gone. Poyer and Hamlin are cut candidates. Tre White will be a cut candidate. Elam can't get on the field. Dane Jackson is a UFA. We have no cap space, and don't even have warm bodies to fill holes. The entire defense is going to be Rapp-caliber signings to fill holes. It's a retool/rebuild year.
  10. This is why INT% is an important stat and not just raw INT. If a dude is throwing 50 times and throws 1 INT. That is a 2% INT percentage. That's middle of the road for the NFL, not bad at all.
  11. Allen is going to get 2nd team All Pro I bet. He will have the best volume stats by the end of the year.
  12. Are we sure McDermott isn’t actually Herm Edwards in a disguise?
  13. My bad, 4-1. 10-7 is about a coin flip to get in IMO. Praying for things to fall your way for the last wild card spot is pathetic though.
  14. We can go 5-1 with our remaining loss to the Cowboys. I’m not holding my breath though. I don’t think we win that many games anyway.
  15. Lol, I’m assuming you are being sarcastic? But just in case you aren’t, having your timeouts means you can throw to the middle of the field and possibly even underneath once. Changes how the defense needs to play you.
  16. Allen and Diggs always seem to be on the same page. I can’t remember an INT or big negative play due to miscommunication between them. Davis and Allen are constantly not on the same page. Occam’s razor says Gabe is the problem.
  17. I’m not even sure it would still be good against Lamar. Ravens changed their O dramatically.
  18. Jags game the offense is finally clicking and the defense gives up the back breaker. Should have lost the Giants game the same way, just got lucky.
  19. It’s more about the pattern. There is a reason McDermott continues to lose games like this across seasons.
  20. Eagles scored 3 TDs just before that and marched down for the FG at the end of regulation. Anyone paying attention knew the defense was cooked.
  21. Missing the playoffs with a top-3 QB and a team doing salary shenanigans to stay under the cap is fireable IMO.
  22. To that point, if the Bills go into it thinking it was 4 down territory they could have picked up some of it on 3rd down and not gone for the dagger.
  23. If you really think about it, the offense gave the team the game-winning go ahead score twice! The defense just had to make one stop and they couldn’t do it. Instead they give up nearly 40 points.
