How are the Ravens pass catchers so wide open all the time?

I think the Steelers are easier to understand. They are well rounded and way better coached than the Bengals. But...the Bengals are a true wild card. They have the offensive weapons to put up a huge point total. Not to mention Burrow just seems to understand how to slice and dice McDermott's defense. Just a lot more variance and harder to know who we'll be facing with the Bengals.

If one of the Jaguars players ripped off that guys helmet and started punching I wouldn't blame them.

I think rooting for the Steelers. I’d like the Bengals dead and buried.

Refs absolutely handed Georgia that game. Basically gifted them a TD drive on penalties. Unlike the NFL, favoritism for big schools vs small schools is pretty believable. They pay the bills after all.

Less than 2 feet of snow is not going to move a game.

You can’t hear a whistle, but the line judge is very visible on the video running into the play and signaling false start. I’m not sure what the rule is on signaling a penalty without a whistle. It’s all moot anyway, because that guy was going to miss the FG anyway.

I really don’t remember the Pats having a lot of luck like this winning games for them. The tuck rule game is the only obvious one I can think of. I guess the Falcons deciding to choke the Super Bowl away was kind of lucky, but that wasn’t a single play it was like 60 plays.

We shall see if they can continue to pull a rabbit out of a hat. I think they lose 2 more games and finish 14-3. They still might be the #1 seed anyway, because I could see the Bills dropping 2 as well (Rams and Lions possibly). I think Bills, Ravens, and Steelers would definitely beat them in the playoffs.

Record is not all that matters when you are trying to predict future outcomes. There are many examples of teams with great records not reflective of their play at this point in the season that fall apart or predictably get bounced early in the playoffs. The Eagles last year, the Vikings the year they beat the Bills in OT, the Steelers when they had washed Big Ben leading them. That's just off the top of my mind, there are more. I know they are the masters of the one score game, but they aren't skillfully defeating their opponents this year, they are relying on dumb luck and in a couple of games favorable calls from the refs at crucial moments. You think the Steelers will mess up and give the game to the Chiefs at the end of the game? No way, they are well coached too and will win if it comes down to that.

I think the snowfall will be spread out enough over 48 hours where they won't have to cancel. Wouldn't want to have to drive home after the game though. It's going to take hours.

The Chiefs were better last year. Doesn't matter that their record is better this year. Their point differential was much better, their offense was much better, and their defense was similar. It isn't the same this year. I don't think they will escape the Divisional this year. Ravens and Bills are playing better. A team like the Steelers or Texans could knock them off for sure (we'll see soon they play both of those teams in the next month).

I strongly believe the Chiefs will lose 2 more games this year. It's up to the Bills to only lose 1 more game. The difference between now and earlier in the season is that their defense is fading. The Raiders have the #28 offense, and the Panthers have the #31 offense. They gave up ~140 yards more than the Raiders season average today, and relied on 3 missed FGs (really 4 if you count that last abomination). Their defense has been totally mediocre the past 3 weeks. If that is a trend and not just a temporary dip, then they are in trouble against better teams.

That’s fine and good, but they have largely not beaten teams on the fundamentals all year. They have relied on flukey BS like pass interference on 4th and a mile, a center snapping the ball when he shouldn’t, or blocking a chip shot would-be game winning FG. If the roles were reversed I would be calling the Bills frauds.

I think we all know that kicker was going to miss anyway. 3 misses on the day already from around there.

I wouldn't be surprised if Mara was very influential in that ridiculous 4 year extension of Jones. It made no sense at the time, and I doubt a GM would make that deal without ownership meddling.

I think Daboll's only chance is if the owner has been meddling with roster decisions and doesn't hold the results against Daboll/Schoen. For example, if the owner said sign Daniel Jones to a contract no matter what, their hands would have been kind of tied.
