  1. Rookie pitcher for the Sox looked pretty good too. Fielders blew it for him with errors and bad play all around.
  2. Last year Henry got ~2k rushing yards and tied for the lead in TDs. Cook isn't quite at that level right now (even though he has been great). As far as RBs this season go, you could conceivably put Cook behind Jonathan Taylor and Bijan Robinson (those 3 have been a tier above the rest so far IMO).
  3. An elite blocking TE that can handle 3-4 targets per game (and turn them into first downs and scores) is more valuable than a pure pass catching TE that has 6-7 targets per game. If Hawes can develop his catching he could be the most important TE on the roster. He has a ways to go, but he's already a much better pass catcher than someone like Lee Smith (who played a similar style).
  4. I don't think Pats fans are more confident. The "predict a score" thread on their message board is 50/50 split on who will win the game. This board's same thread is 100% picking the Bills (I saw one person pick the Pats and they didn't predict a score). I think we're just hearing negative comments relative to expectations. Bills fans are worried there is a chance they might lose the game if they don't bring their A game. Pats fans are excited there is a chance they might win the game if they bring their A game.
  5. On the other hand, if the defense gives up points, then the offense will need to keep scoring to keep up. It would be better for this record if our pass defense was worse than our run defense (when reality is the opposite).
  6. I’m willing to accept the possibility that he’s had a lingering injury this whole season. How many sacks has he taken this season? He looks a step slower than in the past.
  7. https://ftw.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/2025/10/01/lamar-jackson-injury-status-hamstring-try-to-play-texans/86458418007/ Now, I’m not saying they made up an injury designation to save face. But him gutting it out and playing this week is what that would look like.
  8. Mostly a joke, and the safety made a great play. Smoke Brown would have gotten under it though.
  9. His reaction to his interception is conspicuously missing. I can only imagine he said something like “Keon, you are one slow m***** f*****!”
  10. All I know, is that I’ve seen Mahomes orchestrate multiple game winning drives on one leg.
  11. The report is not that he’s out 2-3 weeks. The report is that he “might” miss 2-3 weeks, and he’s “doubtful” for this week. If we see Cooper Rush start this game I will be surprised.
  12. I won’t celebrate Hill’s career potentially ending with an injury, but I won’t mourn it either.
  13. If you think KC is back in business, then Mahomes and Allen will probably be battling each other for the MVP. But the KC offense looked very discombobulated the first 3 weeks, and I'm not sure if the Ravens defense doesn't just suck now.
  14. Long snappers usually don't block the initial rush at all, right?
  15. Groot had a couple nice run stops vs the Saints. But it feels like you can get a DE to set the edge and stop the run for a lot less than he’s getting paid…
  16. Cook is my first quarter MVP. This is the best he’s ever played between the tackles and he doesn’t even have any real home runs yet. And it is very obvious when his backup is in. Honorable mention to Allen who has been totally in control as a game manager (other than like 7 minutes vs the Ravens). Dishonorable mention to our run defense.
  17. The only possibility that Lamar didn’t quit on his team is if he had a preexisting injury that they knew about and he said he re-aggravated it. Because if it was a new injury, how they treated it made no sense. He got almost no attention from the trainers. They wrapped a tiny ice pack on the side of his leg and he sat the rest of the game. I’m thinking he did quit/was pulled. For a comparison, Allen broke his hand and played with a goofy glove half of last season. He broke his nose against the Jets and was out for 3 plays.
  18. Jordan Love plays like if Allen gave in to every impulsive thought during a game.
  19. I wouldn’t touch that. This is the best Pats team in a while. Would not surprise me if the Bills split with them this year. If the offense can perform against a good Pats D we should win.
  20. He also threw a meaningless TD and added 75 yards to his total last week when they were getting blown out.
  21. Stats don’t really tell the whole story IMO. Lamar will do almost anything to avoid taking a risk with the ball or throw an incomplete pass, often to his team’s detriment. It is part of his hyperefficient stats. He also uses his escapability to buy time, which makes a lot more of his throws to open receivers. Allen does the same thing, but he isn’t quite on that level of mobility, so he needs to do more pocket passing and throws into tighter windows.
