  1. That hold on the 3rd down Hurts scramble was crazy
  2. Pickens definitely could have used both hands there
  3. I would never actively root for Dallas, but I don't really care who wins this game. I don't like either team.
  4. There are basically no adult Ravens fans that haven’t witnessed a Ravens SB win. The most difficult time in their fandom is right now with a multiple MVP QB and recent trips to the AFCCG. The most annoying kids at school were the most spoiled, and this is no different.
  5. My hope is for Allen to not break his hand like the first game of last season. That was basically never brought up when the MVP arguments were flying. Remember the weird glove? He had that for like half the season. He also got crushed and died vs the Ravens and Texans (the Ravens one not really being his fault because it was a busted trick play).
  6. It was kind of maddening how conservative we played in both the Ravens and Chiefs games. You have the league MVP. Sometimes you have to call his number (which doesn’t involve just slamming his body into the line). I’m thinking especially the red zone calling on the Bills last real offensive possession that ended in a FG at the like 2 yard line vs the Ravens. They were calling it like they were playing for the FG. You think Andy Reid would have called it like that? No way! He would have a special red zone play ready to go to put the dagger in then and there.
  7. Bills are favored by 1.5 points
  8. 765 yards and 5 TD pace over a season. Those are pretty good stats for a #3 WR that blocks well. Not great for a #2 WR that is supposed to be a threat.
  9. Ravens are going to put up 30+. Bills offense will need to come out firing.
  10. Maybe they are finally tired of his inconsistency and ready to move on.
  11. Probably bottom-5 in the NFL in terms of pass catchers. Probably the worst starting safety pair in the league. Milano is likely not a top tier starting LBer anymore. He’s missed two consecutive seasons. Taron Johnson had a mediocre season last year, we’ll see if it was a fluke due to injury or a new normal for him. CB2 is a question mark even with a low first round pick (were you penciling in Elam as a long term good starter when he was a rookie?). Very middle of the road DL, 18th in sacks last year (which is why we brought in 3 free agents there). We have 2 position groups that are top 5 in the NFL - OL (arguable) and QB. Our RB group is top 10 in the NFL. Every other group is 15th or lower. We had two pro bowlers last year and one 2nd team all pro. We made it to the AFCCG because Allen is the best QB in the league.
  12. It would have probably meant not extending 2 or 3 of Cook, Bernard, Shakir, Rousseau or Benford (and those in extended players likely walking at FA). It would also have meant no Hairston if we traded before the draft. So we’d be looking at Tre White/Rasul Douglas quality CB2 for the foreseeable future (i.e. a liability). How well did our pass rush do vs the Chiefs when Mahomes could just pass it quickly to whoever Elam was “covering”. I think a deal for someone like Parsons only makes sense if you are in a 2 year “all in” window. Where you are pushing your chips in like the Rams did. Our roster is not close to good enough to make an “all in” move right now.
  13. So would an equivalent deal from the Bills be either: - Rousseau + 2 first round picks OR - Oliver + 2 first round picks And then adding either 15m to the cap this year in Rousseau's case or 10m to the cap this year in Oliver's case. I'm not sure what levers Beane has to clear up that cap space, but I understand why the Bills didn't do the deal. We already have Allen on a big cap hit and adding another big cap hit would really hurt our depth. And then you lose your draft capital, which would be your best opportunity to backfill the loss in depth cheaply.
  14. Bills defense: - Surrendered more points to the Chiefs than any other team all season. - Had to face the 17th ranked offense by yards, 15th ranked offense by points Bills offense: - Scored more points against the Chiefs than any other team to that point (other than Bills part 1 and week 17 with all backups). - Scored the most points in a game vs KC in Arrowhead since October 10, 2022 (for any team). - Had to face the 9th ranked defense by yards, 4th ranked defense by points Bills defense wasn't very good in the regular season, and nobody really expected them to be (it was supposed to be a reload year where younger players got some playing time and we ate dead cap).
  15. Mahomes has had a real dip in his passing stats the past 2 seasons with Hill gone and Kelce slowing down. I’m curious to see how his career continues to go because he’s been pretty pedestrian for 2 seasons now. Rice is a great WR but will probably miss 6 games and who knows after the ACL. FWIW, Allen’s best passing seasons were with a top-5 WR in Diggs. So I think having a great receiver is important for high volume passing.
  16. Sounds like he will be a player coach. Maybe he could play in a “break glass in case of emergency” sense.
  17. I think it will be a very high scoring affair (like 34-30 type game). Both offenses are almost the exact same team from last season and shouldn’t have too much rust.
  18. I really had hopes for Forrest. How bad do you have to be to not beat out Hamlin? Why can’t we find a bottom of the roster Safety that can beat out Hamlin!? I think Hamlin is considerably slower now than he was in 2022. He stays on the team because he knows the system and doesn’t blow assignments. That somewhat makes up for his complete lack of athleticism.
  19. I think the plan is to score 50 points
  20. Usually happens around FA, so it’s a treat to have it so late in the offseason.
  21. I’d say there was a clear winner at #2 QB and it was Trubisky.
  22. It is very curious and if Beane gave an answer in an interview I’d be interested in hearing it. It does take 2 to tango though. Maybe Dolac felt he had a better chance of cracking the Rams’ 53 man roster. He got to pick his destination as a FA.
  23. I love the Bills and I miss football, but I'm not sure how much more of this I can watch.
