Allen should have gotten his perfect passer rating game vs the Dolphins at the end of the season instead of the beginning of the season. What was he thinking? Doesn’t he know that games at the end of the year are more important for MVP voters?

I bet the opposing QB stats have worse stats in those same games 90% of the time. Of course the counting stats aren’t going to look good in bad weather, doesn’t mean Allen isn’t outperforming the other guy and getting the W.

Our only DE signed next year are Baby Groot, Von “Healthy Scratch” Miller, and Kingsley “Not on the game day roster” Jonathan. The only DT signed is Ed Oliver. That is 2 starters on the defensive line by my count when we need 7 or 8. We don’t have the cap to fill in the line in FA, it’s going to be done via the draft and probably round 1 for edge rusher. Not to mention Poyer, Hyde and Rapp very well may be all gone. That leaves us with zero safeties.

Allen’s accuracy was off for sure, but the Pats were getting pressure up the middle all game right from the start. Also our WRs have been pretty bad for like 8 weeks now. No separation, near the top of the league in drops, supposed #1 WRs with less than 50 yards, supposed #2 WRs with less than 10 yards. Watch any game around the league and see wide open receivers, and receivers making contested catches. We just don’t have that ability this year.

Shakir will get a fair shake for #2 WR (or at least second most targeted). I don’t think we are drafting WR in the first round with the holes on the defense. I also don’t think we are going to be making a big FA signing with the lack of cap space (probably no Higgins, Evans, Ridley or Pittman Jr). So in summary, I hope we can land someone good in the 2nd/3rd round, or maybe get a dark horse FA signing that outperforms their contract (OBJ?, Boyd?, someone with speed?). These are the types of guys he’ll probably be competing with.

What is bull? He’s been the worst DE in the entire league since he returned. This move didn’t happen sooner because he’s a respected vet and team captain, and they were hoping he would return to form. He hasn’t returned to form and it’s pretty obvious it isn’t going to happen this season.

The pick play with Davis, Allen started his progression to the left for whatever reason. No way he would have had time to go all the way over to Shakir in his progression in time. Now, maybe he should have been going right to left, idk. Next season will likely be a mini-rebuild. I’m not sure fans realize that yet.

We have at least 3 INT on underthrown deep passes to Diggs. At this point it is much better to overthrow, he isn’t going to win the contested catch or draw DPI. Have we even had a dpi in our favor on a deep pass this season? I can’t remember one, but I see them every week in other games.

I think this is the biggest difference between this year and last year. Last year Diggs was playing at an all-pro type level. This year on the whole he’s playing as a middle of the pack #1 WR. Recently he has not even been that. Drops, not getting separation, not fighting for contested balls. Wouldn’t surprise me at all if we find out he’s injured and playing through it. Gabe Davis is also somehow worse. I think Allen has stopped throwing it his way because bad things happen.

Does the ball need to be in bounds when you leap across the first down line? Because that ball was 100% out of bounds. Not sure how they could ever overturn it though.

People who vote for MVP don’t watch random 1pm regular season games. They watch primetime games and then take a peek at the box scores after the season. Nobody will know Allen reached for a first down and fumbled, because they will only see lost fumbles as a column in a table at the end of the year. Jackson wrapped it up this week likely because Allen had a bad enough week to hurt his season totals and Jackson had a stellar game boosting his TDs a lot. Even still, if Allen has a huge game next week on Sunday Night Football (which I’m guessing will be the most watched football game of the regular season), then he will probably finish 2nd and get a handful of first place votes.

If Steelers and Bengals win today, then the Bills will actually kind of be in trouble next week. The can miss the playoffs with - Buffalo loss AND any 2 of - Jaguars win (at Titans) - Bengals win (vs Browns) - Steelers win (at Ravens might rest starters)

He had 2 rushing TDs, and 1 INT. Nobody cares about recovered fumbles. His WR had at least 3 drops as well which is killer. It was a rough day for sure, but if you look at the season as a whole it is probably his best statistical season. I think he is 1 rushing TD from tying the single season QB rushing TD record (which Hurts actually holds for this season, but almost all of his are tush pushes, which is less impressive).

So let’s say the Bengals win and the Steelers lose. Then the only scenario the Bills can miss the playoffs next week is: - Bills lose - Jaguars win (at Titans) - Bengals win (vs Browns) Still a little bit close for comfort for my liking. As hilarious as it would be for the Chiefs to miss altogether, I think I’m rooting for a KC win today.

This is probably his best season, so not sure about a down year.
