  1. I think it’s also possible Beane wanted to get out of the first round to buy more time to wheel and deal. If so, it was mutually beneficial. I wouldn’t be surprised if we don’t end up picking at 33.
  2. I disagree, the Panthers probably told the Bills who they wanted to take and the Bills weren’t going to take that player anyway. This deal was all about trading draft compensation for the 5th year option. I doubt anybody did any bluffing.
  3. Beane has an entire day to trade down again. Maybe we can get a 3rd round pick in 2026 if he plays his cards right.
  4. Is the 5th year option only worth a 5th round pick? I would have held out for a 4th…0
  5. Newton might be BPA for us. I wouldn’t hate it.
  6. Great value for the Eagles there.
  7. Even if this guy pans out, he’s a developmental player and will take a few years to hit good production. Bills need someone ready to contribute sooner.
  8. I’m not really going to understand a CB pick unless we are viewing Douglas as a short term player, or kicking someone who is currently a CB to S.
  9. Draft watch party on the beach looks fun
  10. If they get rid of their 2025 draft, they can save some money in the amateur scouting department this year.
  11. Broken neck guy is the first defensive player off the board. Too risky for my appetite.
  12. I hope we just go BPA. Plenty of holes to fill on the roster. Make a move for a vet WR later in the off-season if we need to. Don’t reach due to need.
  13. Now I’m wondering if we go defense at 28. We might be able to get one of the top 2-3 DE, CB, or LBers (which is very unusual for that draft spot).
  14. I wasn’t really impressed with McCarthy in college. I guess we’ll see how he does…
  15. Didn’t Cousins just sign a 4 year deal? Why would would the Falcons waste a top 10 pick on a developmental QB? It’s kind of like taking a receiving TE with a top 10 pick and then barely using him.
  16. He has elite athleticism and body control (not to mention an excellent wingspan).
  17. I think Maye is going to be good, which is unfortunate for us. The good news is he won’t be as good as Josh Allen.
  18. I’m not a big believer in Williams, which is a bummer because I want the Bears to be good.
  19. Wouldn't be surprised at all if we pick Center/Guard, Linebacker, Safety, Defensive End, Defensive Tackle, or even one of those big defensive backs that are sort of a Safety/CB/LB all in one (Rapp played this position last year). We actually have a lot of holes on the roster. I would be actually astonished if we took QB, OT, boundary CB, TE, RB, P or K.
  20. I don’t think we need a true #1 WR, and the offense almost works better without having to force targets to one. Allen is pretty good at finding the open guy and putting the ball in his hands. I would be fine with Kincaid and Cook getting the majority of targets. Dink and dunk is the name of the game.
  21. Slightly off topic, but we were never going to take McDuffie regardless. He’s a slot corner, not a boundary corner, and we already had an excellent one in Taron Johnson. In fact the 2 all pros this season for the slot corner position were Taron Johnson and McDuffie.
  22. If a top 10 drafting team already has their QB on a rookie contract, it might make sense to pay a veteran WR (because they can afford it) rather than roll the dice on a rookie. Kind of like how we initial did with Diggs. It's the teams who have QBs on a franchise QB contract that really need WRs on rookie deals.
  23. Hendrickson is ridiculously good. Sucks for the Bengals!
  24. I think we have too many holes to spend a bunch of capital trading up for something that isn’t even a sure thing anyway. Spend the capital on a sure thing (vet WR trade), or stay pat and plug holes.
