Pretty sure it should have been a false start on that 3rd down run anyway. Looked all disjointed. No wonder the starters are getting some time here.

That was a set screen play. Worst defensive call for that. Also Douglas looked really slow.

Honestly, I think even more than 15lbs. He was a chonky boy in training camp last year.

Allen looks much slimmer to me than in past years. Might affect his ability to shrug off pass rushers and power through a tackle at the goal line, but his speed and stamina should be better.

I don’t remember Dorsey scheming guys open or giving easy completions for 5-10 yards. Felt like Allen had very little margin for error on passing plays. I’m not sure Brady is much better in that regard, but I watch a lot of other teams and far inferior QBs seem to have some easier options open more often.

Cleveland metro area is twice the size of Buffalo. Makes sense that they would have more demand for indoor events that a dome could provide.

If he ends up being a decent #2 CB, then this was a great "buy low" move by the Rams.

All of this for Justin Fields to run around and not throw it to him anyway.

Guy is just trying to make the team. Doesn’t sound like it was an illegal hit, just hard.

I feel like they should always play one series. Nothing else simulates actual game conditions like an actual game.

Just go for 2 every time, and don't kick any FGs. Go for it on 4th down unless you are inside your own 40. All gas, no brakes.

Luckily we won't have any more interceptions due to Gabe Davis turning the wrong way in the end zone.

If I went to a Chiefs forums and took every opportunity to gloat about Bruce Smith knocking out Joe Montana in the 1994 AFC Championship game I would be correct, but it would still be rude. Everybody knows about the unused NFL merch going to Africa. It was already a worn out stand up bit 25 years ago.

I think they’ve lost a few big ticket FAs recently, like Wilkins, Robert Hunt, Van Ginkel, and Xavien Howard. I guess this is one way to spend that money…

They walk around locker rooms starting halfway through the season and randomly hand out the sheet to any player that will fill it out. They list their top 20 players in the league. Pretty obvious that players are just putting down their teammates and personal friends, because there is no way Dion Dawkins should be on anybody’s top-20 list. Lamar Jackson over Mahomes/Allen could just be that they got more Ravens players to fill out the poll. It is not a scientific process.

NFL players are as good at making top-100 lists as they are at managing their personal finances.

I’m not even making a claim about who is better. I’m just disputing the fact that Mahomes outplayed Allen in their playoff match last season. QBs don’t play against each other, they play against the other team’s defense. The defense Allen played was dominant and the defense Mahomes played was a bad joke. You can’t even compare their performances because their circumstances were apples and oranges.

Allen had to face one of the hardest defenses in the league last season (especially pass defense). Mahomes had to play against a defense with literal dudes off the street. It isn’t even a comparison. And still Allen basically matched him score for score and it came down to a missed FG. If Allen got to play the Bills defense last playoffs he probably would have had a perfect game (Mahomes basically did because the defense was just that bad).

Even after 12 or 13 there would still be guys like Trevor Lawrence, Goff, Kyler Murray, Cousins, Tua. Then the "high potential" QBs like Caleb Williams, Anthony Richardson, Jayden Daniels, etc. QB is just too important to take a pass rusher first. There is too much of a drop off between a Goff and a Sam Darnold to risk it.

The number of people online who think this list is some sort of objective truth is too high. A player is handed a ballot in the locker room to write down 20 names after Thanksgiving during the season. Only a subset of NFL players are polled. I don't believe each team or position group get the same number of players polled. Just whoever the guys handing out the ballots can get to fill it out. Each ballot probably has 10 players from their own team on it, and then 10 players that they are most friendly with. Dawkins at the bottom of the list probably only got votes from Bills players because there is no way a player from another team that isn't his personal friend would rank him as a top 20 player in the NFL. /rant

I'll do 5 1. Mahomes 2. Allen 3. Burrow 4. Stroud 5. Jackson I think the first 20 picks or so in an NFL redraft would be entirely quarterbacks.
