  1. Ankle fracture and surgery feels like season ending for a slot WR predicated on crisp route running and hard cuts into open spaces. Best case scenario he might be available for the post season and even that feels optimistic.
  2. Classic bend/don’t break. Let ‘em chew up time, get yards but deny them points or force them to settle for FGs. Also think GB was trying to run us out of the nickel D but we refused to budge because it was doing exactly what the Bills wanted.
  3. The strategy works quite well if you have a defense to back it up with. The Packers do not have that defense.
  4. The only thing I learned from the Jags game is that the only thing that can stop Josh Allen is Josh Allen.
  5. That’s a really weird way of saying “if we let the other team score a lot of points they’ll probably win”
  6. I think we’re seeing the at if you take away Dante Scarnecchia coaching the OL, Tom Brady under center and don’t have Josh McDaniels running the offense the Pats are shockingly average. It really is a team game and while BB might be able to maximize what he has on the roster it doesn’t help that he’s a ***** GM and can’t draft to save his life.
  7. He really had nothing left to prove after that. He should have done the Peyton Manning thing and retired then on a high note. Instead we’re watching him Favre himself, who just like Brady, just couldn’t walk away.
  8. I really appreciate how well this take has aged.
  9. It’s really weird watching games like Bills/Chiefs, you really get a sense that damn, this is what football should look like. This was not one of those games.
  10. I feel like McDaniel can scheme a good offense but he seems to crap his pants in big moments.
  11. JJ’s hands are suspect. So weird because he was so sure handed in college. He’s been top 20 in drops since entering the league, breaking top 10 in 2021.
  12. Watching Bills-Chiefs reminds me of Manning-Brady matchups and thinking, “oh so THIS is what it’s supposed to look like!” Even RedZone is lame by comparison.
  13. Its possible if you have a crappy offense where you need to make everything happen. Josh Allen, with nothing but sheer determination and a fastball, willed Wyoming to two bowl appearances and one bowl win. What had that Wyoming team done before and what has it done since? Yeah he was raw and unpolished, but like Elway used to do, just straight up willed his sometimes crappy team to wins.
  14. It doesn’t matter how long he sits. The instant he gets another concussion, could be Sunday or could be 2 years from now, that narrative is gonna resurface. He just has the concussion stink on him, probably forever at this point. My hope is he learns to protect himself better and learn when to give up on plays. He gets injured because he wants to make a play too badly every snap. Sometimes the best outcome is to throw it away or just take the sack.
  15. with the Jets if you can shut down their running game I don’t think they have the line or the QB to win you the game. Their defense could keep things close but you don’t stop the Bills offense, you merely hope to contain it.
  16. BREAKING: a sports team that makes lots of plays leaves a couple on the field every game because it’s hard AF to be perfect all the time. And over to Julie for a weather update.
  17. I’m happy that Daboll is taking a lot of what he’s seen and learned from his time here with the Bills and successfully applying it in his new gig. He’s also surrounded himself with good people and given them the opportunity to prove themselves. The Giants are playing hard, gritty and getting it done on both sides of the ball. They remind me a lot of the Titans. It rarely looks pretty, but a dub is a dub. All those things said, I’m also happy he is no longer our OC and calling plays.
  18. By playing the same style of game the Ryan teams did: great defense and special teams, run the ball and ask the QB the make the occasional play.
  19. I think McKenzie is a good player, but he blinks. He gets the yips and then gets in his own head.
  20. It’s gonna make the Philly celebration look remarkably tame.
  21. I think we all knew, and so did Kaiir, that playing zone was a weakness in his game. His responsibility also grew bigger than I think the Bills wanted to at this stage because of injuries to Dane and Benford So far he looks like he's stepped up to the plate admirably, he's owned up to his mistakes and learned from them. If this is him 'finding his way' this secondary is gonna be something else when Tre gets back on the field.
  22. He's on track to have one of his statistically best seasons ever if we're looking at sack numbers and he's making game changing plays that don't show up on the stat sheet every single week (see that inside stunt on a 3 man rush with a delayed spy that iced the Chiefs game). That being said he's being paid like he's one of the best pass rushers in the league, so I think he's exactly meeting expectations, not exceeding them.
