  1. Can't make it easy for KC by not getting any pass rush. It was the only thing keeping them in check in the first half. Detroit will need to 1) march down and score a touchdown this drive, and 2) generate a pass rush if they want ANY shot at winning this thing.
  2. The benefit of being bad with a great QB. Dealt Stafford for a former #1 QB, 2 firsts, and a 3rd Both firsts ended up top 12 picks, they draft Jameson Williams and Jamhyr Gibbs. if I could be say Jacksonville, take Lawrence and trade him for Caleb Williams + two top 12 picks over the next two years? All day you take that deal
  3. Last week felt like the Miami game a few years ago. Lost a game where we shot ourselves in the foot throughout. won the division that year…. Like we will again
  4. It’s the best class since arguably 2012. 3 MVP awards Two top 5 QBs in Allen and Jackson Legit starters in Baker and Darnold Platoon starter in Rudolph 2012 had: luck wilson tannehill cousins Foles less top end, similar depth. I’d take 2018 before that, it’s 2004 Manning rivers big ben Schaub Mccown 2018 is a GREAT class. The talent prevailed over poor organizations and coaching.
  5. Why teams continue to let Bucs receivers run deep routes on single high baffles me. Mayfield throws a GREAT deep ball, need to collapse the pocket on him and force him to dink and dunk all game
  6. They bottomed out and their QB looks good, but I’m not ready to crown them yet
  7. If we want to say the Bills should be more aggressive at filling holes in their roster by trading for players to go “all in”, I’m in agreement with you for this season. They are primed for a big move to bring in a pro bowl talent to this team on either side of the ball. if you want to say the Bills are “being lapped” by teams in the drafts from 23 and 24, that’s an awful take and rightfully needs to be pushed back on. the bills are one of the most consistent teams when it comes to finding NFL 53 man roster talents via the draft. They struggle at finding those top end stars, but it is difficult given their draft spots each year. i was just talking with someone last night about the need to trade for a pro bowl safety or linebacker this year, but that doesn’t mean the bills are a terrible drafting team
  8. 2023 draft has Kincaid who is a starting TE. Torrence who is a top 30 guard in the league, and rotational LB in Dorian they didn’t have a pick in the 4th, and had a 5th and 2 7ths. The ten picks after Kincaid, only guy I’d consider a better pick is Laporta 20 picks after Torrence, only guy I’d consider taking over him is Byron young williams is the best selection from 91-111. Next guy is Chamari Connors. bills getting two legit starters is better than 50% of the league given their draft slot are teams drafting better? Sure, there are some. But to make the cutoff after the 2022 draft produced one of the best results for the Bills in their franchise history and saying the last two drafts have been bad is stupid
  9. McDermott was not outcoached when his MVP QB decides to throw into double coverage and check into a TE sweep where Knox drops the handoff. mcd actually did a decent job with timeouts and personnel. Unfortunately, his offense played their worst game of the year, and the turnovers killed them False - I’ve done a deep analysis before that I posted on this board - the bills are an above average drafting team. you can’t simply say “a couple picks in 22” when they amount to a top end CB, and top end RB, a starting MLB (and team captain) and a top 15 slot receiver. That’s an amazing result that doesn’t get to be diminished to “a couple of picks” people talk out of their ass on this stuff
  10. Please put Rex in Miami dealing with Tua and strapped by bad cap moves. would be a dream
  11. I went upstairs to watch the second half. I NEVER go upstairs to watch, but my wife wanted to lay down on the couch up there while I was watching the game. Dont worry, I very succinctly told her if she wants to go upstairs in the future she knows where the stairs are. So we should be good to go from here on out
  12. I hate the Chiefs. I hate them even more watching them score their first touchdown last night with an illegal pick and watching FOUR players (Juju, Mahomes, Kelce, Gray?) sprinting up to the refs holding their finger in the year screaming "1 yard! 1 yard". Whining like they are supposed to have influence in the ref's discussion. Drove me up a wall. I hope they lose every game they play - but I'm expecting them to go 11-6 this year. They will find ways to win games
  13. Yea I'm not blaming the refs from last night. The Bills lost that game. You can't turn the ball over 3 times and expect to win in this league. I think the refs missed a pretty crucial hold on the center when Maye scrambled up the middle for a first down I think in the 4th quarter. I was really upset after Mcgovern had two calls that were very similar in the first half. Other than that, the refs were fine. Bills lost that game - they should've won. Onto the next one!
  14. He was ok. 6 out of 10. He left the pocket early and often, missed guys with some throws, and Diggs bailed him out a LOT Diggs was 10/10 last night, Maye was 6/10
  15. One loss and its gone
  16. Man, New England got away with that no call big time
  17. Maye absolutely outplayed Allen last night. A part of that was Diggs' ability to haul in sideline grabs, but Allen was not good. He looked to rush out of the pocket early and often, especially in the second half. Bills defense sacked Maye four times last night, whereas New England sacked Allen once. Allen also threw a TERRIBLE interception in the redzone that you simply cannot do in a close game. Maye was a 6 out of 10 last night, Allen was a 3.5 out of 10. Neither spectacular, but one committed too many errors himself
  18. This is where I'm confused. The Bills are playing young guys early in the year to get them up to championship winning caliber. They are taking lumps defensively to get guys like Walker/Sanders/Bishop reps as NFL starters. They are out Hairston, so White has to come in, and he isn't playing well. They signed Hoecht knowing of his suspension, but planning their team to win a championship by having him on the field. So when people talk about the defensive investment this year... you are seeing it. It's young guys getting lots of time, it's Hoecht and Ogunjobi being suspended right now, and it's Hairston hurt. It's not pretty, but the NFL has come around on the Bill's way of defense from 2017-2023. Teams know how to matchup against it now. The style of this defense is in another transition to try to gear up for the playoffs. So do you want development towards the playoffs to win a championship? Or do you want Hamlin and Zion Logue playing over Bishop and Sanders because the defense was better two years ago?
  19. Raiders threw 1 pic to Buffalo's 3 turnovers and the Patriots missed a 40 yard field goal. Patriots average starting position on offense? NE 27. Against us? NE 34. 2 Drives started in Buffalo territory due to turnovers. New England actually had a very similar output yards wise in both games, the difference was the Bill's offense not protecting the ball Pittsburgh game, New England had 5 turnovers. Maye fumbled multiple times, so did their backs. Turnovers are very fluky, as we saw last night. Pitt defense played well that game, but Diggs wasn't Diggs and Maye didnt get 3-4 throws off that were drive extenders like last night. I'm not saying the defense was the 85 Bears last night. They were good, not great. However, the offense was putrid, and I find it funny when I come in and see post after post about the defense blowing it yesterday. That's crazy talk. If the offense plays an average game, we win 27-14 and all of this is moot. Offense let the team down
  20. 1) Maye is a good QB, good QBs make plays. We saw Rattler do the same thing. The defense is trying to rush 4, and their contain wasn't good enough. With that said, Diggs bailed Maye out COUNTLESS time, which leads me to point 2 2) Coverage on every player but Diggs was really good last night. Really good. Diggs just simply played the game of the season, extending plays and using those short dig routes to get the ball and then turn upfield. He came prepared. Diggs is a good player, and a motivated good player can be a problem. Every single other player for New England other than Diggs was held under 50 yards rushing or receiving. This game was Diggs willing that offense via YAC and 3rd down grabs to 23 points. Again, everyone is piling on the defense for holding the Patriots to 23 points. With 3 turnovers that the defense had to try to bail the offense out on. Look at the offensive drives in the first half: Drive 1 - 33 yards, Fumble Drive 2 - 20 yards, Punt Drive 3 - -5 yards, Fumble Drive 4 - 54 yards, Field Goal Drive 5 - 17 yards, Punt That's unacceptable. That's not the defense. That's the offense committing errors and putting their defense on short fields and tiring them out. The defense played their ass off to keep the score 6-3 going into halftime. Bill's offense came out in the second half and played much better, but yet again turned the ball over - in the redzone - which was a killer. If they simply kick a field goal, that game is 23-20 with the Patriots needing to march down to tie with 2 minutes left. Offense blew the game last night. The defense wasn't perfect, but I dont want to hear that the defense was the problem when they had 4 sacks and held New England to under 80 yards on the ground.
  21. The defense isn’t perfect, but if they showed no spine that series, I wonder if the offense (Josh included) were born with a spine at all their first half is one of the worst halves of offensive football I’ve seen from this team in years
  22. So we just ignore the offense with their multiple turnovers and poor performance in the first half because the Bills defense is human? the defense did not lose us this game. The offense was the issue
  23. The lions did exactly what we just did in week 1. Every team has a bad game, it’s just what happens. The Bills are still right at the top of the league.
  24. Now I’ve heard it all! the Bills aren’t that good… man, better not tell other teams we aren’t that good! If that’s the case, nobody is that good!
