  1. I understood your point but this would be an extraordinary waste of resources this year. The QB room is set for next year and we have far greater needs than a developmental QB. I could see it in 2020 when Anderson will likely retire and hopefully the Bills do not have so many open holes.
  2. I do not agree. Like anything that is a skill that can be taught. I simply do not buy the argument that the Bills talent level was so poor that they were worse at this than virtually every other team. You do not need the second coming of Steve Tasker to be at least effective at this element of the game.
  3. ST coaches also get input on what players to keep on the roster based on special teams needs. He is responsible for coaching the players he has. ST was a debacle this year in terms of coverage and return. I do not put the punting issues or late season kicker issue on him, but damn, their coverage and return teams were an adventure all year. Time to go in a new direction.
  4. This has nothing to do with Terry. Both Beane and McDermott were pretty clear that 6-10 was not acceptable and they would look at all avenues to improve the team. Like most Bills fans, they obviously concluded that ST is one of the areas that requires a major improvement.
  5. Agreed. The Bills were top 10 in run defense prior to the NE game, but of course, that counts. Their run defense was much better this year than last.
  6. They have the space to pay McCoy next year. That is not the issue. If they believe he can still be effective, he is a luxury they can certainly afford while they groom a replacement.
  7. Good for him that he has confidence in his abilities, but that fact is he has had two years to crack this roster, not exactly full of potential prow bowl tight ends, and he has not been able to do it. Might be thinking about finishing that degree if I was him.
  8. You are splitting hairs to prove your point here, but in any case, Mayfield did suck in that last drive today, and from a coaching standpoint, that was poorly run. It seems the Browns may still have a ways to go. We will see who they replace their legendary interim winning coach with next year.
  9. Excellent job Virgil, and thanks for doing this all year again. Nothing I would argue with in your thoughts except, a few head scratcher throws aside, I thought Allen played his best game of the year. He looked in control all the way. Took throws that were there, ran at the right times, played a smart game. Very impressive. The player that jumped on that scumbag Kiko was 6x. I did not see his whole number. Still not sure what Mills did, but he did go in and mix it up. Good response by the team there in general. Kiko needs some serious discipline by the league. Today was no aberration - he routinely throws cheap shots with no regard for possible injury, every game he plays.
  10. Yeah, saw that in the next post. Big mistake, just like both Cleveland and Jets made this past year. Miami should move on too.
  11. Marrone is an absolutely terrible leader. He is selfish and arrogant and his team reflects him. The Jags should clean house but probably won't.
  12. Since when does that mean anything? Players hide injuries all the time. His performance fell off dramatically after the hit. Too direct of a connection to write off as inconsequential. He ain’t right
  13. He is not injured that you know of. Too soon to write him off.
  14. Yet another cheap shot by Alonzo. He is trash
  15. I hate the f’ing Dolphins. Go Bills. Squish the fish.
  16. Agreed. Combination of: - great game plan by the Pats laser targeting the Bills tendencies - absence of Milano and Taron Johnson. The replacements are not nearly as good. - Frazier was badly out coached and did not adjust until mid Q3 much too late - missed assignments as a result all over
  17. There was an excellent analysis of this very thing in the Athletic this week. I highly recommend subscribing to this site.
  18. Good one, but don't leave us hanging.
  19. Calling DC Tom .....
  20. Exactly. He has been productive, although not elite, when healthy in past seasons. It is clearly time to move on though.
  21. Two turnovers, zero points. Only star that matters at this point.
  22. That will put you on the bench and ultimately cut on this team, as we have learned. Go McD.
  23. May as well. It's not like he was producing whe he was healthy. Cut prior to free agency is my guess.
  24. It’s just something we do around here to poke fun at the Pat***** “mystique”. Chill out with your hard bitten realism. It is also not clever or original.
