  1. I joined, but it appears it is only the two of us at the moment.
  2. It's never all one thing or another, but that fact is Tyrod was just not good enough. He is not suddenly going to become an effective QB on the Browns. I am quite sure the league wide game plan of "make him be a QB" will render him just as ineffective at sustaining an offense as we witnessed here. He is an upgrade for the Browns, but I am glad he is gone.
  3. I really want to beat this trash team and their fans. I lived in MD 23 years, and I cannot stand the Ravens. Send them alll home crying into their NattyBo's.
  4. You are like the kid who keeps showing up at the neighborhood pick up game that no one likes, gets treated like crap, but will not take the hint that no one wants him there. Your Mommy needs to give you a good talking to, or perhaps take away your toys until you learn.
  5. Certainly agree with the bolded in general, and that Peterman will need to perform to the best of his abilities for the Bills to compete. People in general, even though they would swear they are not, place way to much faith in what they see in meaningless pre-season games. This includes performance of the OL, of the defense, and the QBs, etc. I think we are virtually all guilty of this to some degree. We will begin to see what we really have this Sunday and in the weeks to come. I believe this will be something of a work in progress, but we will see what game planning, specific preparation for a team and individual opponents, and real live bullets looks like with this team for the first time.
  6. Close game. Bills 16, Ravens 13
  7. I think we could be anywhere between 6 and 10 wins depending on the breaks. Split the baby - poor start, strong finish - 8/8. (yuck, but better times are coming)
  8. Well, certainly not one half of football last year, no. That is seemingly the basis for virtually all the doom and gloom and snark from the national media folks. If your question is serious, here is my view. 1. Peterman's performance in camp and preseason indicates significant growth in his understanding and awareness. Do I think he is a "savior"? Of course not. I think he is adequate to hold down the fort until Allen is ready. He will throw more interceptions than Taylor in all likelihood, but he will also throw more completions and probably more touchdowns. When people discuss Taylor's lack of turnovers, they never mention his incredible rate of 3 and outs. I think Peterman will be better, on balance, than Taylor. He will at least be willing to throw the ball. 2. Dennison is gone and I believe we will have a much more diverse and adaptable scheme this year, which will help to grind out first downs and avoid continual 3 and out drives. The scheme will help Peterman to manage the offense. 3. The common belief is we have the "worst group of WRs in the game". I call BS on that. In reality, a healthy Benjamin, Jones, and Kerley are actually better that what they started with last year. Is that great, no its not. They have weapons at tight end and in the backfield to compliment and this seems adequate to me, and better than we were last year at this time. 4. The OL is problematic certainly. Ugly performance in preseason. However, we know from past experience that Groy can play, so can Dawkins, and Mills is serviceable. Ducasse is a weak point, but his play improved over the course of last year and he is playing a new position. Miller need to perform, Ducasse needs to get it sooner than later, and the line needs to gell. I expect them to struggle early in protection but get better as the year progresses. Losing Richie hurts. 5. I have also heard people say the Bills have the worst DL in the NFL. Again, I call BS. We have not seen the entire starting unit together this preseason, so questions remain, but this is improved from last year not worse. Is it good enough when scheming for opponents, we will see. 6. Edmunds is not the player yet he will be by mid year or year end, but he has shown improvement with game action. Major upgrade over Preston Brown. Milano's struggles in the preseason have been disconcerting but he was very good last year and seemed to respond well to McD taking him off the starting unit for a couple of weeks. Depth here could be better but is at least as good as last year and I believe a little better. 7. CB 2 along with nickel CB are concerns. One area (in addition to OL) that I think they may have taken a step back. All in all, I expect a bit of a rough start. If they can go 2 and 2 or even 1 and 3 to start while some of this comes together a bit, I think they are good enough for 7 to 9 wins. A 2 and 5 start is a distinct possibility. 6 wins is the absolute floor in my mind and 10 the absolute best (if they get off to a better start than expected) , but more likely somewhere in the middle.
  9. For those who might be interested, here is ESPN's gem from last year. http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/page/NFLpowerrankingsx170815/2017-preseason-nfl-power-rankings-new-england-patriots-atlanta-falcons-seattle-seahawks-front They did not exactly nail it last year, and will no doubt be mostly wrong this year. Personally, I enjoy watching the games to see what happens, and do not see the dire doom and gloom that many seem to. Is it possible, sure. Anything can happen, but people are seriously underestimating this team. They will be competitive.
  10. Yes. People need to stop feeding this troll.
  11. He has no end game. His end game is to be ignored and perhaps eventually banned for the constant single thought trolling.
  12. Yes, that was tough to take, but let's not forget that Groy had an outstanding stretch of play subbing for Woods a couple of years ago. He did not suddenly forget how to play. Of course he was playing next to Incognito not Ducasse, and Castillo was not the coach. Those are my concerns, not Groy.
  13. Why anyone would think the pats dumpster diving for a receiver who was not good enough to make this squad, which I constantly read is the worst WR group in the NFL, is anything less than good news, I will never understand.
  14. Yeah, it’s almost like the Bills have a scouting staff that had more information on players than the average Joe Fan who reads internet articles and watches TV
  15. The roaches are literally crawling out of the wood work around here.
  16. My take. Also a homer view. Thursday, September 6 Atlanta Philadelphia Sunday, September 9 1:00 PM Pittsburgh Cleveland Cincinnati Indianapolis Tennessee Miami San Francisco Minnesota Houston New England Tampa Bay New Orleans Jacksonville New York G Buffalo Baltimore Sunday, September 9 4 PM games Kansas City Los Angeles C Seattle Denver Washington Arizona Dallas Carolina Sunday, September 9 8:20 PM Chicago Green Bay Monday, September 10 7 PM then 10:20 New York J Detroit Los Angeles R Oakland
  17. Reilly was a good story last year. He has not distinguished himself at all during this preseason. Might be time to let go Bills fans ....
  18. There is no way the Bills are going to give up a first round pick, even 1, for Mack and pay him. They have just worked themselves out of cap hell and investing $100m plus in a player with probably 3 years of prime production left is not likely in their plans. Giving up next year's first for the privilege of doing so, when there are a number of excellent pass rushers who will be available to them with what will likely be a top 10 pick, would also be shocking. This is not the move the Bills need to make to build this team, as fun as it would be to have Mack in the lineup. They should have done that when they had the chance in the draft instead of chasing the Watkins fools gold.
  19. Which they put themselves into a position to draft despite assembling a winning record. They have more pieces to assemble and it was not all going to come together in one year.
  20. Here is a good site for all those who would like to validate their doom and gloom predictions: Enjoy. (Hint: Sully agrees that this could be the worst team in the NFL) https://footballmaven.io/bills/news/guess-who-s-back-bucky-and-sully-returning-with-comprehensive-bills-coverage-dhO-1MPf9EO7R0czw2IujQ/
  21. Yeah, that quote struck me as well. His arrogance knows no bounds.
  22. At the price of free, Bucky and Sully's "coverage" and opinions are overpriced.
  23. Yes, a team that was consistently mediocre needed a rebuild.
  24. I am right with you OP. I have been there for a while now. I never miss the Bills but I did not watch even close to an entire non-Bills NFL game last year until the playoffs and even then, only a few.
  25. All true, and although I wish they would move on from Holmes in favor of one of the other younger guys, I do not see that happening.
