  1. Some of the tweet responses are brutal. I never warmed up to him, although he did grow from terrible to mediocre in his team here.
  2. Your take is not appropriately over-reactive. We must look for reasons to panic.
  3. Teller showed next to nothing in his opportunity last year. He is going to have to make a big jump to earn a spot. I think it is certainly possible, but the Bills clearly have questions about him.
  4. Yes, I saw the picture. Seen it before in another thread actually. That does not make the original post and "poll" any more sensical. The picture had already been posted. If the point was to post a picture of Rachel Bush, fine. It seemed the OP was trying to make some other point, as incomprehensible as that was. Why would I?
  5. This thread seems totally pointless.
  6. Interesting question and while he does not break down the numbers in detail as he does for Cutler and Tannehill, he does mention that his offense worked very well for Payton Manning, who obviously is 10 x the QB of either of those guys, and of Darnold at this stage of his career. I would also also consider that at that stage of Manning's career the offensive design and playing calling had as much to do with Manning as it did with Gase.
  7. Reading the hero worshiping puff piece you linked does not provide any more knowledge or expertise. There are many explanations for why he would suddenly become a straight A student in that situation and only one of them relies on intelligence. My observation of Lamar is quite the opposite, which includes the very damning article linked at the beginning of this thread. You are right - I do not know him but I would certainly not characterize him as smart based on what I have seen and heard. Perhaps unfair, but I was just sharing my observations.
  8. Looking beyond the score, Jackson is still "intellectually challenged" to put it in a nice way, and not a particularly talented quarterback. Casual fans of the NFL knew the Ravens were changing offense. There is no NFL rule against paying attention to what is going on with your team. Pretty sure there is no rule gainst him having a playbook either.
  9. The Ravens are really putting that 13 Wunderlick scoring mind to the test. New plays? What?
  10. Well done Shaw, and thank you. I share your passion for the Bills which was born in the same way as yours - at my father's knee in the Rockpile. I also share your optimism. There is something special going on here and I am looking forward to seeing how it plays out. Much can go wrong, as we all know, along the way but I really believe this organization is getting it right. One point of difference with you - I am much more optimistic about this season than you are. I would be disappointed in 9/7. Go Bills.
  11. I was not sure if this deserved a new thread or not so posted it here. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2837130-stats-dont-lie-adam-gase-is-the-wrong-coach-for-sam-darnold-and-the-jets An excellent analysis from BR concerning why Gase may well be the absolute wrong coach for the Jets and Darnold. This is one of many reasons that I think the selection of Gase will cripple the Jets franchise for years to come. Lovin' it.
  12. You cannnot make this stuff up. I love the smell of death emanating from Jets land.
  13. You can smell the tires burning in New Jersey from all over the land.
  14. This is hilarious. You literally can not make this s up. No doubt many NFL prognosticators will double down on their Jets ball washing, but to see this franchise as anything more than a joke at this point is to have a world class suspension of disbelief,
  15. Yes, it is almost as if they are incompetent over at the D&C.
  16. Clowney is a huge risk in terms of a big contract. Very talented, but not consistently great. This has always been the knock on him and he has done nothing to exhibit a change in that perception. I think paying Clowney a huge contract would be a massive mistake and I do not expect the Bills to do it under the current regime. A big name, and a flashy talent, who only occasionally performs to his potential. Buyer beware. That is why the Texans are taking the approach they are.
  17. I agree. The test will be how McBean deals with their young players if they develop. Unfortunately. Dareus played like an all pro in his contract year and has been decidedy average or below since. You need to avoid paying players like that, and focus on those that are truely special. Not easy, but but not a skill that Whaley exhibited.
  18. The arguements being made here about Watson's value are actually pretty funny. This is a desperation move by the Pats. No way the Bills should have signed him, at any price. Now we are counting receptions in rookie mini camp? Seriously?
  19. I am not buying the Ravens and agree with you - L. Jax did less with more. I think they were totally exposed by the Chargers in the playoff game. They are interesting, but in the end they look like a middle of the the pack team, and Jackson looks like a slightly more talented version of Tyrod Taylor to me. Still, I think they are probably better than the Steelers.
  20. The Stealers already did implode - last year. I am not seeing how they are better. Team on the decline. The Browns are the best team in that division. It remains to be seen if the new head coach can get it done.
  21. I have never had any respect for Colin Cowherd and this lame opinion certainly changes nothing. Not even worth arguing.
  22. Unless he plays special teams like the second coming of Steve Tasker, he is not making the team. Many more experienced and accomplished receivers ahead of him. Let's see if he gets past his tryout.
  23. Ok, but Lawson is only going in to year 4. They can cut him without penalty after this year, unless he ends up injured on March 1. Low risk to preserve options on a first round draft choice, who made a pretty good jump in year 3. Obviously the Bills decision makers are closer to this and should have a better idea, but on the surface this looks very shortsighted to me, unless they have another near term plan.
  24. Do you actually have a point? If not, go away.
  25. So in this scenario, that he performs very well, you want him, but he blows you off for other offers, you would rather have a comp pick? You would rather have a comp pick than an expereinecd high performing DE? Not saying Shaq will become that, just that if he does, he will be playing elsewhere. Poor use of assets in my opinion.
