  1. He demonstrates a complete lack of understanding of the skill sets of the Bills existing lineman and their scheme with this post. Not credible.
  2. This is an outstanding pick. I cannot believe he was still there at 38 and it was a great job by Beane to move up to grab him. I was hoping Risner would slide to them but this was a better and unexpected outcome. The Bills were always going to select an OL somewhere high in this draft and anybody expecting different was simply not paying close attention. It was certainly the right thing to do as well. Patching the OL with free agents - and there are some significant upgrades in this year's crop - is fine, but to have long term success you need to draft and develop your own. These guys demonstrate a sound approach to team building in my opinion.
  3. It certainly does. People should just ignore this newby troll and move on.
  4. Well, they now have Clark ...
  5. I cannot think of a reason you should not be banned.
  6. He could be the first ever number one draft choice hired to play on The Deuce with that outfit
  7. I am not listening, but I totally believe you and am not at all surprised. Heading out to a local bar for a draft party with the local Bills Backers. Beer, wings, and Bills talk. Should be fun.
  8. That is a very impressive and thorough review by Joe B. He has really come a long way since his early days at WGR.
  9. Ain't happening. No trade with the Jets; deep DT class; not the player they covet in any case.
  10. My hope, and my belief, is that the Bills at looking at this the same way. Not worth number 9. If they end up trading back, maybe, depending on how far.
  11. Despite that fact that many fans cannot seem to get switching Edmunds position out of their heads, Turner is right about this. The Bills love Edmunds at MLB and are not drafting his replacement. Silly talk.
  12. Tyrod Taylor 2.0. Somewhat improved but with the same basic design flaws as the original.
  13. He always has been and always will be a moron.
  14. I don't. The Jets are darlings and in a big media market.
  15. It is way too early to compare these QBs. Anything can and will still happen. I like our chances, but we still do not know.
  16. We live in a star f...... world. In virtually any walk of life, certainly the NFL, the masses respond to star power, as do lazy writers. They got Antonio Brown, therefore, they are greatly improved. Maybe. We will see.
  17. Thanks for posting, Chandler! I agree with you - that was a formidable team. Great defense. I was at the game (yes I am old, but only 8 at the time). It forever solidified my love of the Bills.
  18. You are right - way too early. We do not know what any of these teams are likely to be, including the Bills. That said, I would be disappointed with less than 10 wins. 8 at the bottom, 12 at the top, depending on the breaks.
  19. I would be shocked if the Bills do not draft an OT in the first three rounds at least, quite possibly the second. They need long term OL solutions and the guys signed so far are short term answers, even though upgrades. Draft and develop should be, and I believe is, the long term plan.
  20. Yes, the drought was sole draining, but I have heard many people around here describe Bills teams during that time, including last year, in ways that would indicate some horror show. My response - not even close. The only team I have seen perform worse over the last 30 years is the Browns under Hue Jackson. Talk about sole draining. ?
  21. Absolutely. People that do not remember those days have no idea what a bad team really looks like. I had seasons as well. It was light years worse than the worst teams of the drought era.
  22. Considering how poor the Bills ST were last year, I would not hang my hat on ST contributions. I have never found him to be a particularly useful FB and that does not seem to be an offense that Dabol wants to feature. That said, he has been valuable as a locker room guy I suppose, but I certainly hope that the Bills find a way to move on from him this year with a more productive and versatile player, Fisher or someone else.
  23. I am guessing the role they have in mind for Fisher is HBack to some degree at least. Theoretically, assuming he can play, he can offer blocking on running or passing plays from the backfield, and be capable of being an outlet on the pass, even spreading out to offer a different pressure on the defense. The Bills rarely used the fullback formation last year, and DiMarco is very limited - poor runner and receiver. Who knows if he will actually win the job, but I would think it is either him or DiMarco.
