  1. Facts are you friend. https://www.teamrankings.com/nfl/player-stat/receiving-yards-per-catch Brown average per coach is higher than Williams, who despite your opinion has proved nothing to date. Also, by the way, Foster had a yards per catch of 20, but does not make this list because he only had 27 receptions. (Threshold is 30). The Bills have 2 legitimate deep threats. No thanks on Jared Cook. He is still sitting around for a reason.
  2. Wow. A receiver who actually gets himself open and then catches the ball. What a radical concept.
  3. Zingy Ansah is visiting the Bills tomorrow. Signing him would take pretty big bucks I think.
  4. Teams began focusing on covering Foster after his breakout forcing Allen to look for Jones, but unfortunately, Jones rarely gets himself open, and is not strong on contested catches. Brown will be a much better complement with his speed. He will put more pressure on defenses than Jones can. Could really open things up.
  5. Excellent first day in my mind. Center was the number 1 priority for this team in FA and they got their man. This will make a huge difference on offense. Kroft is certainly not a game breaker, but the Bills were horrific at blocking at TE and he is a major upgrade there. Still room for a draft choice at that position, but Kroft makes them better. The Bills were very thin at CB so adding Johnson makes sense and is a good gamble. Very solid when healthy. Gore is an upgrade over Ivory. Williams at RT and/or a quality guard like Saffold would be my next priority. I am not enamoured of any of the remaining FA wide receivers in terms of being worth a big contract. Upgrade via draft.
  6. Master of his craft? Seriously? Master at whining, self agrandisement, and greed is more like it. The last year he played he missed time to injury. Chances are exponentially greater now. He is going to get paid and be a footnote. Just my opinion of course, but I do not share your respect for Bell's dedication to craft.
  7. Sure, but my point is, what are the chances of that given his general approach to this whole situation? Buyer beware.
  8. How long has it been since Bell played football? He is a hamstring injury waiting to happen. My prediction is great regret for whoever signs him, for many reasons. Personally, I hope he signs with the Jets.
  9. I went to high school with Fichtner. He actually showed up for the 25 year reunion. Pretty good guy.
  10. It is almost certainly about money at this point. AB has no intention of reporting anywhere under his current deal and has made that clear. Schefter is shilling for AB's agent.
  11. I think they will go after Morse and/or Paradis hard. From Bean's comments it does not appear to me they are banking on Long as a starter at Center, but rather quality depth and competition at C/G. If they land either of the two top FA centers, then that position will not be as much a priority in the draft. Best possible outcome here is Morse or Paradis, Long as backup, Bodine to the curb.
  12. You make a very good point about Metcalf. Production matters, and it is also something the Bills value highly per many interviews with McBean. He might be great, but maybe not. Personally, I prefer a focus on the lines at 9, although I suspect Metcalf now goes before then anyway.
  13. Anyone who had the misfortune of listening to him last year on MNF could confirm he is not very bright.
  14. Thanks for the summary. I like it all - now for the execution. I would not assume that. I would assume the Bills and he disagree on his value and I expect once he realizes they are closer than he is to reality, he may well be back. He will not be a hot commodity but does have some value as a rotational player. They would be crazy to pay him any other way.
  15. In this case apparently, it is accurate, as it is in many others. These women were Chinese, brought to this country and indentured to the message parlors to pay off those that financed their journey. This is very common, with many nationalities, and it is certainly sex trafficking.
  16. Just stop with that rationality!
  17. Thanks very much for the recommendation. We will definitely check out Valentino's and will certainly think of you. We are in Sarasota for various reason fairly frequently. Best to you.
  18. Already found it! Great pizza, but we go for the "royal" subs. Loving it here so far. Played golf this morning and swam in my pool this afternoon.
  19. I am in North Port. There are a number of options here. I have hooked up with the local Bills Backers and and watched several games this past season at the local watering hole which is very close to my house. Lots of transplanted WNYs around here.
  20. It figures. I lived in Frederick 23 years and just moved to FL last year. It would have been great to have a local place to watch Bills games, although I expect the food might suck. This is in the place that was the Tilted Kilt. Frederick is a great little city. The historic downtown is special. Fabulous restaurants and bars.
  21. It may be that Star was not a good value, but I think there is little question he outperformed Dareus in the role he was asked to play. The real Dareus, what he had become, not the version he was when he was signed to the rich contract. The fact is that Dareus had become an overweight, lazy, malcontent who was hurting the team by his presence. Nothing in his performance since going to Jacksonville would suggest otherwise. The Bills were better in the long term to be rid of him, even if they suffered in the short term, and even if they overpayed (at the same level they were paying the problem child) for an equal or better replacement. The Defense improved.
  22. This would be a fantastic haul in FA. Center is clearly the number 1 priority, with G and T 1a. Filling even two of these positions with quality starters would be a win - all three a home run. While looking for a good WR prospect in the draft is also a priority, I would rather find an experienced WR in FA who can contribute immediately. Rather than 2 WR in FA, I would like to see a TE as the next priority. McCoy makes a great deal of sense for the Bills, and I would love to see this happen.
  23. Why only a small part? I am all the way hoping it will implode. That outcome is highly likely with Gase at he helm and his already questionable leadership, and Greg Williams in the fold with his propensity for selfishness and drama. Get your popcorn ready New York. I am sure the local media will have their knives at the ready.
