I expect we will see a heavy dose of running and screens but not because of Edmunds, because that is who NE is now. I am sure we will also see the usual quotient of quick passes to PED boy.
Edmunds received a good deal of blame from the fans around her for the Bills poor run defense in the last NE game, and although he was not blameless, he was not the primary problem. Milano was also missing in the lineup which created a huge problem on that side of the defense. We are also missing Taron Johnson, as we may be again, and his replacements were simply not in the same class in run support. NE killed us on the edges as a result. every tackle is not Edmunds responsibility.
This is only a “trap game” in the minds of fans. I guarantee you that McD is not allowing that thinking to take root on the team. They may get beat but it will not be because they took the Bengals lightly or were unprepared.
If your standard is perfection perhaps you should readjust your expectations. No team is perfect. It is about winning, and the outcome of this game was never is doubt after the first quarter. Room for improvement? Sure. Believe it or not, every team can say the same thing.
I agree - it is a reach. However, there is no telling what is going to happen with any of these teams by teams end of the year. There are always surprises.
I think Neal starts there as that was the position he was playing all though camp, but Johnson will be next up if Neal struggles again. I think the Giants are better suited to Neal’s strengths. He clearly could not cover Crowder, but the Giants lack that kind of player. In coverage it will be primarily Engram for him. The big issue will be tackling and that he is good at.
Agree. I find the patriots disgusting, from top to bottom. Their owner is a moral bankrupt, their QB is a world class cheat, and they have encouraged abnormal behavior as a norm within the org all along. Consider Gronk, Hernandez, Edelman, etc.
