There is approximately 0% chance the Bills will trade for Bell. It would be the dumbest move the could make, right ahead of trading for Melvin Gordon. RB is not even close to the biggest need the Bills have if they are going to make a trade, nor do I see them investing those kind of dollars in RB, especially one who has proved to be not worth his contract so far. Stupid speculation by good old Mannish. If Beane is looking at anything it would be WR, DT, and DB/LB depth.

The run defense had one bad game. Ranked 10th in the league prior to that. That said, one big trade is unlikely to make a huge difference in the w/l for the year, unless a stud WR is truly available. That could help them win a game or two IMO.

Good teams/Bad teams and Points
FLFan replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There you go, confusing the situation with pesky facts. How dare you! Great write up Hapless, and thanks. This certainly fits what I see: a pretty good team with potential to be even better. (And fun to watch by the way). I will take that for now and enjoy the ride. -
They are starting Rosen. In any event, it does not matter.

Early Week 7 Line: Bills -15.5 over Dolphins
FLFan replied to stevestojan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I no longer bet on football, but I would stay away from any spread this large in the NFL no matter who it is. We will see what happens to the spread after this week when, as I expect, the Dolphins get their first win. The Skins are truly a horrible team. -
I’m just going to come out and say it - this is the year
FLFan replied to Wayne Arnold's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
At this point, less than 11 wins with this team would be a disappointment. Far from being discouraged by the NE performance, I saw evidence that this team could beat anyone. The offense needs to progress, but that was always going to be a work in progress this season. People should not be giving up on the division just yet. -
6 takeaways from the Bills' decision to trade Zay Jones
FLFan replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I loved the selection of Zay Jones at the time and have been rooting for him to succeed. It is pretty obvious at this point that his game has taken a step back from even his minimally acceptable performance of last year. For his sake I hope he gets it together, but enough of the opportunity here. He simply did not step up. I do not understand it, and perhaps the coaches have a better idea as to why, but enough is enough. The NE game and his reaction to it sealed it for me. He was a liability on the field. -
Zay Jones traded to Raiders for 5th rounder

Exactly. Beane was employed by another NFL team. He was not involved in Buffalos’ draft. -

They should have preformed a vasectomy while they had him in the hospital. -

I do not read Sal M. He is generally clueless. -

Well, he is not likely to.be much more stupid when he wakes up, since he would already seem to be below critical mass on functional brain cells. -

Exactly right. The fact is, that is if the Titans were a better team, they would have a better kicker. They are not, and they don’t and they lost. Why do people want to make excuses for that? If they had made those kicks they might have won! Sure. And if my aunt had testicles she would be my uncle . The Titans did not win. They did not deserve to win. The Bills were the better team. Let’s move on to the next game. -

Great win by the Bills today. Must win against a playoff rival and they found a way to win and that’s that. I am hearing lots of nitpicking what if and what if that comments. Who gives a crap. Wins are what matter. Josh played a great game today. The defense was great as usual. People should start enjoying the fact that we have a very competitive team here which will threaten the best teams in the league. Get with the program and stop whining about what is not perfect. Perhaps people have forgotten what winning looks like. This is it. -

Bills release Conor McDermott; claimed off waivers by Jets

Maybe this fact should be permanently glued to the front page so people do not suggest it at every opportunity. -

It means they are not comfortable with him as their swing tackle with Nsekhe out. As we all know, Ford has been shaky as well. They are probably bringing Webb up. -

Have You Started To Lose Faith in Josh Allen?
FLFan replied to Phil The Thrill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes with respect to your comment on defense, but we were talking about QB play. As far as the hysteria is concerned, yes it is. There are absolutely no concerns arising from the NE game that were not already present. Allen is precisely the same player today as he was before the game, albeit more experienced. Yet people are now comparing him to Trent Edwards and suggesting that Barkley will be an improvement. Clearly, mass hysteria has taken over Bills Nation. -
Have You Started To Lose Faith in Josh Allen?
FLFan replied to Phil The Thrill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Predictable hysteria to what was also predictable - he was going to have a bad game at some point. The Bills won 3 games because of Allen and will win plenty more. -
Will offense operate better with Barkley next week?
FLFan replied to GG's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There is not a thing Josh Allen can learn from watching Matt Barkley play QB rather than playing. Nothing. -
Josh Allen in concussion protocol: Update cleared 10/5
FLFan replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Perhaps. Cheap shot in any case, and the point is moot, since he was not ejected and will likely only face a minimum fine, if any. If that same play had happened to Brady there is no question the player would have been ejected. The NFL is a joke and it seriously ticks me off that players continue to get away with play that could seriously injure and possibly end a career. With no consequences, why not take the opposing QB out? -

Not sure why anyone wants to make excuses for this. Sorry, but he led with his helmet and it was very intentional.
