Bills trade for Diggs - jw no discussions on a restructure
FLFan replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I just do not think immediate renegotiation is the style of Beane. They are in a different space now than when Whaley traded for McCoy and felt compelled to immediately redo his contract for more money to make sure he was happy. The Bills are establishing a pay for performance culture. Very clear from their actions over the past few years. Right now Diggs has a fair contract with 4 years remaining. If he earns a new deal based on his performance and his blend with the team, I am sure he will get it at the appropriate time. -
Predict Shaq Lawson's contract
FLFan replied to BuffaloBills1998's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is the only thing that made sense for Shaq. He is likely thinking $10 to $12 m and the Bills are likely thinking $7 to $8 m. He is a useful rotational piece in this defense and i would prefer to have him but not at a significant over payment. Someone will pay him. -
Looks like Gronk won’t be returning to NE/NFL...off to WWE
FLFan replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The WWE is perfect for Gronk in so many ways. Not really even much different than his NFL career. -
This is tremendous cap management by Beane. Kroft underperformed his contract last year, presumably due to an Injury. This gives him an opportunity to prove that was a fluke, while reducing the Bills’ downside risk, and frees the team to invest in other TE option should if they desire. Very good job by the management team.

PFF-Jerry Hughes best pass rusher last year
FLFan replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think Hughes is a very good player, but to avoid being a hypocrite, I am going to ignore this PFF evaluation. -
Quinton Spain to re-sign with buffalo, 3 yr 15 million
FLFan replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This can’t be accurate because I read on these pages that Spain is not good at pass protection. On a serious note, great news. -
Spotrac Guesses on Potential Bills extensions (edited title)
FLFan replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Joseph was heading to the practice squad at best before his injury. He was red shirted. We will see if he can make the team this year, but to expect he can be anywhere near Milano’s level is silly. He has a long way to go based on his pre-season performance last year. -

FLFan replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes we need better depth, but you do not replace a premium player with depth. They won the late round lottery with Milano and should make every attempt to keep him, instead of hoping to draft a replacement as good. Spend that draft choice where we do not already have quality starters. I just find it odd that so many fans do not seem to recognize the level of player we have. -
Spotrac Guesses on Potential Bills extensions (edited title)
FLFan replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Anytime he has been out with injury, the Bills D was noticeably weaker. He is not easily replaced, and in fact, is a budding star getting significant notice around the league. They cannot afford to let him walk. -
Well, I guess people would have preferred that the Bills not rebuild their OL and WR and secondary last year via free agency, and instead counted on comp picks this year. That certainly would have been a brilliant strategy. Thanks for injecting some intelligence to this conversation.

Need an alternative to AT&T for the Sunday ticket
FLFan replied to oldmanfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
At one time DTV was a premier customer service organization. It was already going downhill before the AT&T purchase, but that transaction accelerated the decent and it is now a horrible customer service experience, as is par for the course for AT&T. I will be off DTV very soon. I have already cut the Sunday Ticket cord for two years now and I do not miss it. -
Gameday Thread Titans @ Chiefs AFC Title
FLFan replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Of course. I did not say differently, just that Mahomes was certainly no consensus, and considered riskier than others, with the best upside. The post you responded to was correct. Bills fans in general would have been unhappy with that pick at that time. -
Gameday Thread Titans @ Chiefs AFC Title
FLFan replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There were a few. Certainly not nearly as many as currently claim to have known it all along. He was considered by most analysts to be a risk. -
Marrone is a master at blaming the other guy.

This is the same guy who thought Buffalo was a suburb of NYC when he was drafted. He has not gained brain cells over the years.

Antonio Brown: Apology Tour - Preparing for return?
FLFan replied to BringBackFergy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You did not miss anything. It requires an AB interpreter to understand any of it. The logic of it - there is none. He seems to believe that his baby momma is a b and it’s all whitey’s fault. That is about all I got out of it. The sooner this guy fades into oblivion the better. -
He has been a very good pick up by the Bills. Beane and his staff are wizards. However, he is likely to get greatly overpaid by someone and that should not be the Bills. Oliver and Harry are the future, at DT and they can fill the rotation from there. Personally, I would rather see them retain Shaq and cut Murphy loose.

McDermott and Beane End of Season press conferences 1/7
FLFan replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What a putz. Hey Jerry - you are free to leave at any time. -
Sadly he will not be the only newly registered troll posting this week nor will this be the dumbest post. This place will be unbearable for next week or so.

A lot of pain in this locker room (McDermott quote)
FLFan replied to TroutDog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My experience is that it would be best to avoid this forum all together for a while. Two or three weeks should clear out most of the dead wood and obvious morons. By February serious discussion may resume.
