  1. There is absolutely no reason to believe Trent Williams is a better player than Dawkins at this point. He has not played in over a year, has serious injury concerns, and to any rational observer, a serious motivation problem as well. He may or may not regain his previous form, Dawkins is younger, rising, motivated and a team player. He is seriously under rated by many Bills fans. This would have been a stupid trade for the Bills. This is a one year move by SF forced by the retirement of Staley.
  2. Well, it is a fact that he hurt his quad at the combine, and ran anyway. His time there is the BS number. Believe what you want.
  3. What happened is they acquired better receivers. He is not that good..
  4. They added three tight ends last year. Not sure that counts as neglected. There were a couple of interesting prospects this year but none I would have rather had than the players they took in rounds 2 and 3 that were available to them at the time. Any later than that, there was no one who would have been an upgrade to what they have.
  5. Someone should stop Reggie Bush when he attempts to think.
  6. Well, as nicely as I can, I have to call BS on that statement that you don’t care about the name on the jersey. If that were true, you would not be advocating for Clowney. Without the name, if you just looked at production, you would quickly conclude there is no need for the player as the Bills already have players who equal or exceed that production. With the name and injury history, and the ridiculous contract demands, hard no. Spurious argument you are making all around.
  7. And not wanting to tackle anybody in his contract year lest he get hurt.
  8. Some of the posts in this thread are priceless. We are talking about a developmental QB drafted in the fifth round to one day be a backup. People are reacting like he is being drafted to be the franchise savior. Drafting a developmental QB was a good move. He has a winning pedigree and some decent skills, good intelligence. Great backup potential down the road. He will be number 3 this year if he sticks.
  9. Exactly. You cannot evaluate the Bills draft without including the trade for Diggs. That was a conscious decision to add a proven playmaker vs. the players likely to be available to them at 22. So, that is their star player in this draft. Epenesa and Moss are solid, if not spectacular, players who will improve the team this year. That said, I do think Baltimore, Denver, and Indy have done particularly well so far.
  10. He hurt his quad at the combine and ran poorly. Later ran a 4.52 once healthy. He is fast enough.
  11. That would not surprise me at all, and there is some logic to it. There are certainly going to be some angry fans if that is the case.
  12. To paraphrase a famous showman: No one ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the Bengals management. Worth a shot by Miami.
  13. I would absolutely love to see the over the hill gang fall flat on their faces this year.
  14. Pats fans really are a delusional bunch.
  15. Pretty uninspiring choice by the masses here. I get that people want an offensive playmaker with this pick, but this feels forced. I suspect the Bills management will not succumb to the same temptation to fill a need for a second RB vs. obtain good value. This is not a complimentary skill set to what we have and he is unlikely to add much incremental value to the team.
  16. Any ranking that has Gardner Minshew ahead of Allen, in fact not in the bottom feeder category, is mortally flawed from the jump. What an idiot.
  17. 1. These so called experts are as bored as everyone else right now and have to do something to generate discussion. 2. Belicheat is a terrible GM. 3. Beane is a rising superstar among the GM ranks. Ranking him 12th is a clueless joke.
  18. That’s the right approach. Diggs is better than any of the WRs in this draft, and certainly better than any they could have possibly selected at their pick, or reasonably obtained via a trade up. Focus on round 2. I would not be opposed to them moving up in that round for an appropriate value pick, but I do not know who that might be. Let’s see how it falls.
  19. True enough, but most 4/5/6 receivers are fringe players, by definition. That is why it makes no sense to draft a WR high to be at best your fourth option. There will no doubt be much better value available for the Bills in rounds 2 and 3, and perhaps 4.
  20. Uche is a solid rotational player to start with potential to be a bigger contributor down the road. Best bet on this list.
  21. Smith is lucky to be alive and even luckier to still have two legs. He would have to be crazy to be play again and any team encouraging him to do so, even more crazy.
  22. Yes, this move may be OK, but there are questions whether he fits their system. As for the rest of their off season, Meh.
  23. Could be that or contract, but I would not underestimate the potential positive influence of Eric Washington on boosting his play, perhaps through motivation, or perhaps through putting him in a better position to succeed. Whatever the reason for his improvement, Washington clearly thinks highly of him, or he would not be here.
