  1. I agree. The test will be how McBean deals with their young players if they develop. Unfortunately. Dareus played like an all pro in his contract year and has been decidedy average or below since. You need to avoid paying players like that, and focus on those that are truely special. Not easy, but but not a skill that Whaley exhibited.
  2. The arguements being made here about Watson's value are actually pretty funny. This is a desperation move by the Pats. No way the Bills should have signed him, at any price. Now we are counting receptions in rookie mini camp? Seriously?
  3. I am not buying the Ravens and agree with you - L. Jax did less with more. I think they were totally exposed by the Chargers in the playoff game. They are interesting, but in the end they look like a middle of the the pack team, and Jackson looks like a slightly more talented version of Tyrod Taylor to me. Still, I think they are probably better than the Steelers.
  4. The Stealers already did implode - last year. I am not seeing how they are better. Team on the decline. The Browns are the best team in that division. It remains to be seen if the new head coach can get it done.
  5. I have never had any respect for Colin Cowherd and this lame opinion certainly changes nothing. Not even worth arguing.
  6. Unless he plays special teams like the second coming of Steve Tasker, he is not making the team. Many more experienced and accomplished receivers ahead of him. Let's see if he gets past his tryout.
  7. Ok, but Lawson is only going in to year 4. They can cut him without penalty after this year, unless he ends up injured on March 1. Low risk to preserve options on a first round draft choice, who made a pretty good jump in year 3. Obviously the Bills decision makers are closer to this and should have a better idea, but on the surface this looks very shortsighted to me, unless they have another near term plan.
  8. Do you actually have a point? If not, go away.
  9. So in this scenario, that he performs very well, you want him, but he blows you off for other offers, you would rather have a comp pick? You would rather have a comp pick than an expereinecd high performing DE? Not saying Shaq will become that, just that if he does, he will be playing elsewhere. Poor use of assets in my opinion.
  10. This is a bad call. The only real risk is that he gets injured this year and the are forced to pay him next year. Guaranteed for injury, assuming he is injured at the start of the league year next year. Otherwise, they keep their options open. If he is lights out this year they are happy to pay him. If not, they cut him. Very shortsighted decision.
  11. The problem is, if he does earn it this year, he will be signing somewhere else.
  12. It is absolutely the business of the Pegulas and the Government. The County owns that land is responsible for policing it. The Pegula's are responsible as game day operators of the site. They can set whatever policy they so choose, and if that policy includes curtailing the drunkenness and idiocy of a few out of control fans who weekly embarrass the team and the community, it is within their rights to do so.
  13. Every drafted player thread with the exception of Oliver has been WR B word fest.
  14. Hughes had 0 enforced personal fouls last year. https://www.footballdb.com/stats/penalties-player.html?tm=4&sort=other
  15. I think many Bills fans have been guilty of over estimating the role and potential impact of Phillips, which is perhaps the cause of so many being down on him now. He is not an elite penetrator and was not drafted to be one. In fact the Bills did not draft him as a 3-tech, although they have used him there at times. I think he will be a very productive player for the Bills but he is certainly not in Oliver's class, or Kyle's for that matter.
  16. Who are your top targets for the next Bills picknow that Thompson is gone? Thanks. I will hang up and listen.
  17. Agree, although I am still hoping they can find a way to move on from the largely unproductive DiMarco and keep an additional skill player on the roster, probably at WR.
  18. Fitz is the likely starter there, until he inevitably Fitz's it up.
  19. He demonstrates a complete lack of understanding of the skill sets of the Bills existing lineman and their scheme with this post. Not credible.
  20. This is an outstanding pick. I cannot believe he was still there at 38 and it was a great job by Beane to move up to grab him. I was hoping Risner would slide to them but this was a better and unexpected outcome. The Bills were always going to select an OL somewhere high in this draft and anybody expecting different was simply not paying close attention. It was certainly the right thing to do as well. Patching the OL with free agents - and there are some significant upgrades in this year's crop - is fine, but to have long term success you need to draft and develop your own. These guys demonstrate a sound approach to team building in my opinion.
  21. It certainly does. People should just ignore this newby troll and move on.
  22. Well, they now have Clark ...
  23. I cannot think of a reason you should not be banned.
  24. He could be the first ever number one draft choice hired to play on The Deuce with that outfit
