I agree , but I do think we need to upgrade at the 3 and 4 receiver spots. I think Beasley is on the decline and MacKenzie is very likely a goner. Hopefully Stephenson can step up into MacKenzie's role - I am sure that was the plan in drafting him - but I suspect the Bills will be looking to draft another WR with that skill set and better this year, although probably not in the first. They also need a TE which may be better found in FA than the draft. Beane's staff will earn their money looking for a FA upgrade for Beasley that they can afford. One option could be Jakobi Meyers who is an RFA this year. They could probably steal him from NE for relatively cheap. I am sure their will be other potential guys out there.

Bills 2021 rookie class ranked 27th in league

What never fails is that there is always some arrogant type who proclaims their opinions “critical objective analysis” while denigrating others who disagree as “koolaid drinkers”. -
I would love for Gase to get that job. It would be a shame for future “Hall of Famer” Mac Jones though. Either BOB or Gase would be fine. They will have to build an addition on the HQ to house the inflated ego of either in the same building as Billy.

Sorry, but this could be the dumbest thing I have ever read on here, even with your lame attempt to justify it. -
You are beyond tiresome.

I thought you promised to quit in that exchange? What he said actually is that the argument you were making is racist. -
OL coach Bobby Johnson headed to NY, has signed contract
FLFan replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think the Bills dodged a bullet here if the reports he was offered an extension are true. I am all for continuity generally, but this unit has underperformed. Even with respect to pass blocking, it is Allen’s movement that buys the time he has and accounts for low numbers of sacks for the most part. I think we can do better, although I have no idea who that would be at this point. -
OL coach Bobby Johnson headed to NY, has signed contract
FLFan replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
I am not sure why either but I am pretty certain it had nothing to do with OL coach. It looked to me like there was a change in philosophy with respect to the running game, and thus the blocking assignments. This led to more success running, and more time and freedom for Allen in the passing game. This was a Daboll adjustment, I suspect at urging of McD. The fact Is that the OL has underperformed consistently and the development of younger players ahas been slow and spotty. They can do better at OL coach. -
That is the job from hell. Pederson is crazy to be seriously considering it. Career ending position.

With Allen, can the Bills de-emphasize skill positions?
FLFan replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
I hated both those players and still do. They were the best slot receivers I had seen though. Totally dominant and virtual unstoppable. Beasley is a tier below without question. MacKenzie not even a conversation. -
This is great - a real twofer. Destroy the Raiders and unleash BOB on the Patriots. Awesome. Hope it happens.

Sullivan: Bills' McDermott choked away Super Bowl-caliber season
FLFan replied to QCity's topic in The Stadium Wall
Jerry Sullivan is the champion of all whiners and malcontents everywhere. He has not been credible for at least 10 years, maybe more. I quite literally could not care less about anything he has to say. Clearly though, he has won some new converts among the fan base. Mission accomplished for him. He is and always has been a no talent hack with very little actual knowledge as far as I am concerned. -
No, I am not off my meds, just using my brain. I am not sure what this conversation has to do with MacKenzie, but OK. Clearly a whole different set of issues there, but sorry to confuse you. The very last time Antonio Williams played and was effective was the final game of the 2020 season against a Miami team that had clearly given up. He was not productive in preseason this year and was not productive when he was active. He did not play because he is not very good. Your opinion is half baked at best. Do you have any actual facts to back up your half baked opinion? As far as signing him first day on the job, look around. Every team is signing their bottom of the roster, future practice squad guys at this time. Every team. The bills are obviously moving on from a guy who has not been able to make an imact in spite of two years of opportunity. Maybe he can impact the Giants, who are not remotely close to the Bills in terms of established talent. The Bills will have plenty of new camp fodder for fans to drool over next year. Now, if you have any rational argument to make to any of that, with actual facts not half baked opinions and insults, have at it. Otherwise, go rev up your black helicopter somewhere else.

Yes. There was a conspiracy of Beane and McD and the other coaches to keep Williams off the field although he was clearly superior to other options. Schoen knows the truth! Or it could be that Bills management knows better than the fans and that the Giants depth is no5 as Good so Williams has a better opportunity there.

I think it is pretty obvious at this point that the call was for a kick within the field of play to force KC to handle the ball but it was not executed correctly. Some do not want to accept that this was a simple mistake and not some massive failure of strategy or leadership because it does not fit their desired narrative. McDemott answered the question of this point as honestly as he could. I will be glad when we can return to rational discussion around here rather than childish emotions.
-
Yes. Going back in my hole now to re-emerge when rational thought returns.

Isaiah McKenzie aka, Lil Dirty, sounds like he’s moving on
FLFan replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
I doubt that MacKenzie is interested in staying at this point. He had a rough year with McD and it sounds like there were lots of trust issues. This is a minor inconvenience and not a major problem. The guy had one good game. He is replaceable and being vastly overrated by the fans. We need to upgrade the skill positions not run in place by overpaying for existing players. -

Well, you were not paying attention then. He has always been a jerk. That’s why he was not drafted higher. Plenty of evidence over the years of his selfishness and arrogance. You are just wrong about this.

1/23/22 Week 20 Divisional Playoffs Bills @ Chiefs PREGAME THREAD
FLFan replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Bills struggled against the two high shell coverage most of this year, until the past 5 or 6 weeks. Teams run it against the Bills specifically because Allen is among the best in the league at defeating pressure, and their WRs are capable of beating man. I would expect Daboll to have them prepared should they see this, but it is what I expected because that is KCs strength in the D. This is not news.
