The refs do not protect Allen like they do other QBs. Some of it must be his reckless style but still, the horse collar tackle set a bad tone. Dumb rule, but called correctly, still he was hit in the helmet quite a bit. Once that happened Allen reverted to street ball. Face masks, laterals, etc. Thankfully he calmed down and made big plays on the last drive. Otherwise this looks like the Houston playoff game part 2 and we are questioning his growth.

Great win. Yes indeed, lots of complaints about officiating. Starting today, the NFL needs to start protecting Allen like other franchise QBs. The correct call was “technically” made on the horse collar. The kid was getting battered and he just would not take it. That is why we won! NFL! Wake up.

This was an unfortunate and nit picky call. On this play the Dolphin player ran into the Bills player. What should he do, jump out of the way? This was a case for league replay to overturn terrible calls. There was intent to injure.

The injuries are likely due to no preseason games, so no gradual increase in real game hitting and intensity of play. If the offense is sharper today this is a 35-10 game but offense takes a bit longer to get in synch.

I don’t think either side of the line was very good. This felt like 4 preseason games rolled into 1. Correct timIng at game speed will improve and they will get better.

I’ll take the W. Sloppy play at times but factor in no preseason and no crowd.
