  1. Can they play a few more years, and actually have a career, before you make that conclusion.
  2. Beane is doing great. Some of his picks, like Ford and Edmunds and even Allen, are still developing. Are you really going to criticize 4 th and 5th round picks (Knox and Joseph)? He has consistently upgraded the talent with free agents while not overpaying. None of the players you mention put us in cap trouble and all of them have contributed. He has not been perfect but he has built an exciting team, a competitive team, and a culture of winning. Players want to play here. Do you want to bring back Whaley, Nix, Brandon, Levy, Modrak and Donahoe? I sure don’t.
  3. Thank you. This could be the best post in the thread. we never trailed. We played a proud and desperate team. Our defense found a way to make that one big play needed to seal the game. We are not Juggernaut but we are clearly a team on the rise. We look like the best team in the AFC east and probably 5 or 6 overall in the very, very tough AFC. Let’s keep it going. I’ve been following these guys since ‘63-64. I not going to ever apologize for a win.
  4. Who cares. I guess it means we are not elite. Ok. Of course we are not. Win a division, win a playoff game first. Make progress. We are a team on the rise. We have a few holes to fill but definitely on the rise. Enjoy it.
  5. Solid B. Diggs seemed to take the hit on the INT. Solid throwing numbers by Josh in bad weather. Running TD, should have had a throwing TD too. LEADERSHIP.
  6. Bills - 27 Pats* - 13 The game is not as close as the score. The beginning of the end of the Pats*. Belly is sub .500 without Tommy Boy.
  7. From what I saw mostly on Becton in the first half, he seemed to move around more in the second half.
  8. Feliciano is the RG, replaced by Winters due to injury. Williams has looked good and Cody Ford could not win the RT job from him. Ford looks better at G and he pushed out Spain. Then Ford got hurt and is replaced by Boettger because Spain essentially quit, so he was released. Winters at RG is mediocre and Boettger (3rd on depth chart at start of season ) is not showing he is a starter. The problems come from the guard position.
  9. It is so rare that a good team, and I consider the Bills to be a good team, can improve themselves in a week 8 trade. Sure it happens occasionally when bottom feeders start selling off good players. Seems even harder to do on the offensive side of the ball because of the time to learn the playbook and get the timing down. The OL will improve when Feliciano and Ford come back.
  10. I have no idea who will win. Buffalo looks to have the better team. I have a hard time seeing the Pats* lose 4 straight but games are not played on paper and a last second come from behind win is still a win. Brady and the Pats* have lots of them.
  11. I think he is playing injured too. His tackling is tentative at times. All MLBs need strong DTs play to be be able to read and react. Are our DTs forcing the opposing centers to help theIr guards out, leaving Edmunds clear to get to the ball? No. They are not. Sure, Edmunds gets sealed off sometimes by wrong reads, but he gets sealed off more because our DTs don’t penetrate enough. When you see them blown 2 or 3 yards off the LOS it’s hard to blame Edmunds in my opinion. Edmunds has just reached normal Rookie age. Trade him and regret it down the road.
  12. I think this whole concept of signature win is a bit silly. If they beat NE on Sunday it’s a signature win unless of course NE finishes the season at 7-9 then it’s not. Is that the way it works? People said the Dallas game was a signature win on Thanksgiving in front of all of America. A month later they say no, Dallas was overrated. You play in the moment. Every game means something with division and conference games meaning even more. The Bills stunk for 17 years and were completely irrelevant. McD comes along and gets us in the playoffs and we are lucky because Cincinnati had to win that game. So if Cincinnati played at 1:00 and we played at 4:00 we would have earned it more? Some Bills fans cannot be happy. We have had four, maybe five, legitimate NFL Head Coaches in the entire history of the franchise and McDermott is one of them.
  13. Nope. I’d rather play our young guys.
  14. I thought Kyle made noticeable contributions in his early years. He always looked like a gamer to me. Can’t say the same for Harrison. He looked good for awhile last season, before the injury. I think he ends up on IR and he gets another shot next year after more rehab.
  15. I guess I found humor in what you said. I don’t wish to debate the laughing emoji. Therefore, you are the first and only on my ignore list. Cheers.
  16. See below. posted 3 hours ago You almost offered something of substance there at least. Instead of a lame😃
  17. He made a few long ones and he responded to the pressure. Hauschka missed one today, as did Gostnowski.
  18. WEEK SEVEN: B 30/43 - 70% completion - 307 yards - 0 TD - 0 INT - 61 yards rushing - 1 fumble With all the injuries and the way the defense played for the first 20 minutes or so it was going to come down to Josh. In the second half he responded and became much more patient and as a result his completion percentage went up and he lead us on many long drives. The red zone woes were not on him. He had on TD called back on penalty and another were our TE fell while running for a score. We never punted today. Thankfully the defense played a fabulous 2nd half and help to enable the win.
  19. Somehow I think Belichick will have some new wrinkles. I expect he will try to run first since his QB play is limited and our run defense is suspect. Expect Cam to be an RB type threat Last year he got us with a blocked punt and then they knocked Josh out of the game due to concussion protocol. I want this game more than any other game in a long time.
  20. Nice, so your here to enlighten others. Great. My experience is that people who call other people names are not very enlightened.
  21. Nice to see the Pats* get pummeled at home. Here is to a good week of practice and a normal routine for a 1:00 home game. Get going on that film McD.
  22. Yes indeed. I hope to see him play more and push Singletary.
  23. It looked worse the first time at game speed. On replay the hit was not as high as I first thought. Those hits were common in past decades but these guys are so strong and fast now that anything to the helmet will get flagged.
  24. I am a big Beane fan. But it’s a little early to laud him on drafting Dane Jackson, the kid played one game. Beane has made some great moves and he has some misses too. We are still waiting on you though.
  25. The Fitz trade is a joke. But hey, let’s move the Fitz cycle to Jax.
