I don’t know if Lorax can come back now and play right away. I miss him a lot. We need another LB that can cover and rush the passer. Milano injuries are bad enough but we never replaced Lorenzo.
-
Next man up has never been truer. Unfortunately, we replaced Lorenzo, Phillips, Star, and now Spain with lesser players and our depth at CB and LB was not good to start the season. Beane needs to improve both sides of the trenches.

How do the Bills prepare for inclement weather?

You do if you play in the AFC East. -
What is Wrong With the Defense
Bob in STL replied to billsfan61184's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think the problems start up front with the DL and then permeates through the layers. 1. They have no DT like Star to eat up blockers and space, making the LBs job harder. Oliver is playing below Jordan’s Phillips level last year. 2. The edge rush is not good enough. Hughes got old. Addison‘s sack production would be ok for the #3 guy, not the 1. Murphy disappeared and Epenesa had no camp, no preseason, and is not ready. 3. Milano is always hurt. Edmunds misses Star and he too is hurt. They never replaced Lorenzo’s leadership, coverage, and pass rush skills. 4. They need help at #2CB and at Nickel. Star, Phillips, and Alexander were not adequately replaced. Depth has not improved, it appears to be worse. -
He has the right job for him. He gets a lot of respect for his work too.

The Maddening Mystery of McDermott's Disappearing Defense

Yup. I would rather play Duck than Mahomes. -
Josh Allen - week SIX report card

D. Very inaccurate and impatient once again. Missed open guys early and often. He ran well, played hard, had one good drive in 4Q. Otherwise it’s an F. -
Did Anyone Watch Mahomes Post Game Interview?
Bob in STL replied to Irv's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes. The Titans and Chief did the same thing to us. Only difference is that our OL cannot run block and Josh lacked patience and accuracy to take the short stuff consistently. -
Beat the Jets and Pats
Bob in STL replied to Bills fan since 87's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not so sure. We can play 8 in the box and shut down the run and have to worry about Mahommes throwing to very fast receivers. The Pats* are not as good as KC. -
Week 6 Postgame Thread KC at Bills
Bob in STL replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He said that last week. Two weeks in a row he gets beat by zone coverage. He did not consistently take what was given underneath. He missed easy throws to Singletary, Diggs, and Beasley - all on 3rd down and all drive killers. Teams are forcing him to be patient and accurate and he is not getting it done. He had no running game to help him either. He is the best running threat we have. -
Week 6 Postgame Thread KC at Bills
Bob in STL replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Mahomes was 21 of 25. He took everything we gave him. He didn’t miss any throws. He scrambled for first downs numerous times. Any time you can run all day long you do. -
Week 6 Postgame Thread KC at Bills
Bob in STL replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He was 21 of 26 and he wasn’t even the biggest factor. Their OL kicked our DL all over the field, and they were playing back ups too. -
Week 6 Postgame Thread KC at Bills
Bob in STL replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You might think we hold KC to 26 and we can win. Instead we played another miserable 3Q and we fall way behind. McD and his staff have been terrible at halftime adjustments. Andy Reid didn’t even do anything different. They did the same things only better. KC won in the trenches. They have more talent and they have the best player in the league in Mahommes. -
Week 6 Postgame Thread KC at Bills

Because the Chiefs were running almost every down. -
EJ should not have been a first round pick. Even die hard Seminoles fan were shocked he was taken in the first round. His had marginal talent and slow reaction speed for the NFL game. That is why he did not make it.

Bills are a Good, Solid NFL Team.
Bob in STL replied to PUNT750's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Star missing is hurting the ability to stop the run. LBs are getting sealed off. Jordan Phillips missing hurts our inside pass rush. He was disruptive in pass rush. Lorenzo missing is hurting LB play and leadership. The defense is clearly not as good as last year. Injuries to Milano/Edmunds have contributed to poor play. Oliver is playing hurt and has not been a factor. Depth at CB and LB are problem areas, as they were last year. -
Lorax discusses Tremaine Edmunds
Bob in STL replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Edmunds misses Star a lot. Our defense is struggling because we are weaker up the middle without Star and Phillips. That and injuries to Milano, Levi, and Tre. The DL has to do more to keep blocker off of Edmund too. I think that missing Star and Phillips from last year is hurting. Star ate up blockers for other people to make plays. Phillips made plays. -
Postgame Thread: Bills at Titans
Bob in STL replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Let’s put this game away. We were not ready to play from the first drive of the game. Distractions, delays, injuries, poor preparation and execution in all phases, turnovers and penalties. Wow. Ok. Get ready for KC. Short week. No excuses. Get ready. -
Week 5: Bills at Titans on Tuesday Night Football
Bob in STL replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It is best to build your team with players that do not rely on external forces to get motivated. Motivation that comes from within is what i would look for. Players that are students of the game, always prepared and ready, and do not need to worry about being "respected".
