  1. I don't hear an anti-Bills bias from Romo. He was making excuses for Allen's play due to the elbow injury. Until then I was still believing the elbow was not a major factor. I still think Allen's performance drop is a combination of things (his own mental mistakes, his supporting cast, play-calling), and not just the elbow.
  2. This game is very big for division tiebreakers. We have to beat the Pats* twice to have a winning record in our division. That is an important tiebreaker that we want to get.
  3. Yes, he would have value on the Bills roster, especially if Von has to sit out. But he didn't get shipped out of Buffalo just when they "got good". He played in the AFC Championship game two years ago and he was part of the 13 second debacle last year. He played on 4 playoff teams. He had a good run with the Bills and would probably want to retire a Bill.
  4. Still no. The Bills have been winning for several years dude. Jerry played in the playoffs in 2017, 2019, 2020, and 2021. Nine years and 4 winning season with playoffs. Keep making crap up though.
  5. He looked great playing against 3's and 4's in preseason. This is a lot different. The NFL in November/December is 4 levels of play higher than that. He needs some time to develop his game.
  6. Eh, no. He was here up to and including last season. He was part of all the recent playoff teams.
  7. Wait, this can't be true. I read on TSW that Bobby Hart is not good. How could this be?
  8. No, they shouldn't. Know your target audience. Lots of teens and younger men watching football. Majority of them do not have a heavy beard yet. Picking a handsome, well spoken, popular, star player like Josh Allen will sell more blades to young people than picking Grizzly Adams.
  9. I agree with the first sentence because I think we need to throw some new wrinkles at Belichek. Rest assured he has digested everything we did to him last year and he has looked at all the film this season too. We need to pull out something new, maybe Hines can be that. The Pats* defense is very good, and they will be ready for us in Foxboro.
  10. I am going with the basic assumption that Shakir does not get open enough and maybe even does the wrong things at times. I do not think Josh trusts him enough in crunch time. He trusts Diggs, Davis, Knox and McKenzie much more. That is where he will go. It takes a while for some receivers to develop, and it takes a while for them to get on the same page as their QB. An injury to Crowder is the reason we are even talking about Shakir. It is not like he emerged from great play in practice. This is not preseason against 4th stringers. Josh and Shakir have had little time to work together. Next year Shakir should be much better. This year you take what you can get from the 5th round rookie. He is promising but probably not going to be an impact player just yet.
  11. TRUE. We have not successfully replaced him. You are correct on that point. No one is arguing that. You are wrong to believe that he is the same player he was 2 and 3 seasons ago. He is not. If he was, he would be showing that on the field. Let it go.
  12. He was fantastic then. Now he no longer moves the sticks for any team. Reality can be harsh at times.
  13. I believe that he was declining and so do about 30 other NFL teams. He has played in 2 games for Tampa this season, 4 receptions for 17 yards.
  14. Some fans here just can't be happy. Success has brought expectations to completely unrealistic levels. Not too many 6th round rookie CBs are going to get the job done as a starter, especially with the schedule we played. Lets not forget that with Tre out Benford started the year as the #2 CB, he was ahead of Elam. Everyone here liked him for awhile, then the pass rush went from great to ok, and now he and all of our CBs look average at best - which is exactly what they are. He is a promising player and he might project better as a safety.
  15. GREAT Strategy. Play two players that are coming back from injuries and completely ignore the others. Put the whole load on them. That will work.
  16. Last year happened. We lost the game. It is over. Move on to this year. Anything can happen this year. Lots of football to be played and we are a strong contender. Enjoy the ride.
  17. Is this a trick question? Win the SB is the measure of success for a team this good. We are in the upper echelon, this is the only measure of success. Anything else means the goal has not reached and figure out how to get better.
  18. He is a 3rd year player that had zero development his rookie year due to COVID when he, for some strange reason, trained wrong and reported to camp too small to play DE. He has since rebuilt his body and his strength. He has 3.5 sacks in 10 games this season and is a rotational DE on a pretty stacked DL. He has 3.5 sacks, 1 forced fumble, 1 fumble recovered and 4 passes defended - not setting the world on fire but he is contributing. On a pace for 6 sacks if healthy. I can give you long list of Bills first round draft busts that never did this much. It is too early to call him a bust, but with the benefit of hindsight we could all list better players that could have been picked.
  19. The chart is data, and it is useful data, but it does not stand alone. It assumes that every data point (player injured) has the same impact, which is does not. As if Josh Allen missing a game has the impact of Nathan Peterman missing a game. Example: KC has very low number of injuries relative to the rest of the teams. Take Mahomes out for the remaining games and see what the impact is. They will still be in a favorable position on the chart but that one injury could very likely cause a drastic change to their season. Injuries to star players, quarterbacks, multiple players injured in one positional group (i.e. secondary, OL, DL), can have a bigger impact than the raw data suggests.
  20. Point #1 - He made some great plays and he missed some very routine plays. That is not "ultra clutch" in my view of the world. He is a young player that is still developing and is still inconsistent. As for the all the mental health stuff in point #2, you said you took Psychology 101. I took it 45 years ago so I will defer to you on all that stuff. Especially today with the all social media impacts that now exist. Psychology is not my expertise, maybe it is yours? As a fan I don't boo, I don't jinx, I don't root for injuries or harm to others. I don't bet either. I watch and enjoy the game and the competition. The only football team I care about are the Bills, after that I am a sports fan looking at the skills on display. Cheers.
  21. Two things. Does being “ultra clutch” and also among the league leaders in drops make sense? He has been very good at times, but not yet consistently very good. Save the “ultra clutch” titles for the true greats of the game. Do you want a player that listens to fans and media and lets it affect his play? I hope and seriously doubt that Davis is distracted by the “12th” man. I would bet he isn’t. Playing in Buffalo is easier than many other markets when it comes to pressure from fans and media.
