  1. The first down was irrelevant, we had enough downs and a time out to control the clock, which we did do perfectly. He probably could not see the marker. The issue is do you take the 6 or do you make the snapper snap, the holder hold, and the kicker kick in snowy, slippery conditions. The last play was not a gimme due to the field and weather conditions.
  2. Happy Victory Sunday! The Bills - Dolphins rivalry is back in full swing. Lots of crying in Dolphinland about the snowballs (ice balls). It seems all 12 of their fans were there last night and got hit. Great game last night. Especially the fourth quarter comeback. Allen was the difference.
  3. Really looking forward to this. Of course, it is a must win against Miami always, no matter either team's record. The Bills have been on a good roll, doing it with better defense and less points. Would love to see the O break out tonight and the D remain super stingy. Go Bills!!!
  4. He was let go by the BN and now he sits in a basement with two knuckleheads doing some low-grade podcast. He has no inside information on the team or the league. You might like his contrarian point of view, but I don't get the uproar on twitter. Cancelling Jerry Sullivan is like cancelling nothing. The opposite is happening, and he is getting the attention he seeks.
  5. The offense is still one of the best in the NFL as evidenced by its 6th in scoring ranking, but it does appear to be slipping in production as the season progresses. There is a lack of big play talent after Allen and Diggs. I think the OL is a very mediocre group and the source of many problems. A stronger line would improve the running game and give Allen more time to find a receiver. Much of the Bill's success on offense comes from Allen improvising and making plays. The WR group is average, mostly because Davis has not progressed as a #2, and there is no effective replacement for Beasley in the slot. Knox seems to be an afterthought most games. The backup TEs are not good, and we get little production from the running backs with the exception of Motor (some games). How much of this regression is related to the Rookie OC Dorsey and his planning? I don't know but certainly some. Still, this offense is very good and with Allen at the helm it can be great on any given week. Right now, I would say that the defense is the stronger unit and has more depth to deal with injuries.
  6. Why would anyone listen to him or care what he has to say?
  7. It's called high expectations. Those three terrible losses were by a combines 8 points. This team is really good and has not peaked yet.
  8. Agree. Our offense is not that effective in weather.
  9. I will always take the Dub. Offense - Allen made the plays that were needed. Good game by Knox. Would like to see more Diggs and Davis. Would really like to see this team run better. It will be needed for home games. Gotta do better closing out games by getting first downs. Jets DL was tough to handle. ST - Bass made some big kicks in the rain. Punt block was disappointing. Defense - another fine job overall. Milano was huge again. Lots of people complaining about 3rd and long but the bottom line is they gave up only 10 points and got a few big turnovers too.
  10. You won't be a fan of his, but you will agree to sign hm to help us win.?? That says a lot about you.
  11. Edmunds is one of the guys that other teams coaches talk about when the talk about our defense being tough to play against. Fans that complain about splash plays must not watch the game in detail. Who else that big can cover as much field as Edmunds? If he becomes a FA, it will be a mistake. Pay the man. Find a way Beaner. Edit: after looking at some of the salary numbers the most likely way that we keep him is if he stays at a discount to the market. Will he stay to win championships with Buffalo? It may not matter if we want to sign him but simply cannot.
  12. Look back at the NE game, at the pass he missed in the end zone at the end of the game - he was led a bit too far, so I am not going to critique that. What is noteworthy is that the announcer said it was the same route that Diggs ran and scored on, he said something like "same route as Diggs, only not run as well". He does a good job on long routes in getting in good position and using his size. Davis needs a lot more work getting open on short and medium routes. He will get more targets and be more useful if he can take that step.
  13. Experiment? Over the trade? What were you expecting? The next Thurman Thomas? He is a role player, and his role right now is KR/PR/spot RB.
  14. I am hoping the 49er's and Bengals can come up big. It will be fun to watch and not stress about the Bills, they are getting well-earned rest. Whatever happens we have to win our games, one at a time.
  15. I don't get these comments. He has carved out a role as the extra lineman in running situations and gets important reps with the offense - and when called upon he has done well. Not one guy in that locker room, coach or player, would argue that. Hart is not a starter we all get that. But he is vet that can fill most OL positions and has contributed this year. Look past the obvious.
  16. I think the doom and gloom comes from all the illnesses, injuries, missed practices, and from playing 3 games in 12 days. Here is to beat the Pats* and then 9 days between the next game - heal and prep for the big run.
  17. It is going to take a team effort for this one. Offense - Diggs, Knox, Motor Defense - Milano, Tre, Oliver
  18. He came to a church fundraiser breakfast back in the mid 60's and he ate with us, sat at the big boy table, and then spoke to the crowd about his career and the role of sports in his life. My Dad said he did it for free. Quite a gentleman. Different times. Joe O'Donnell, another Bills offensive lineman, did it too. RIP Al.
  19. Would like to see some 2 TE's sets. Let Morris help pass block and Knox play the slot.
