  1. Yeah to be fair, McDermott is not the only one. Bill Belichick who is literally worshipped by the media, does the same thing. I never understood benching because obviously players don’t mean to fumble. It happens unfortunately, usually at the worst time. As long as it’s not a recurring issue where you flat out can’t trust a player. If the goal is to send a message, I think trusting a player after a costly fumble is a better idea to instill confidence as opposed to fear of fumbling against.
  2. Jacksonville by a mile. Weather was a major factor versus NE
  3. Good point… maybe he should’ve had these conversations last spring 🤣
  4. I only wish they had camera in the facility for this interaction: During a staff meeting, Meyer delivered a biting message that he's a winner and his assistant coaches are losers, according to several people informed of the contents of the meeting, challenging each coach individually to explain when they've ever won and forcing them to defend their résumés. He’s got retreads on his staff like Darrel Bevel and Brian Schottenheimer and a bunch of nobodies. I’d love to hear them justify why they are winner! Not surprised that Urban is struggling in the NFL. This is what happens when a big time coach who is used to being worshipped in college jumps to the NFL. Just disgusting 🤢🤢
  5. How in the hell did Buffalo lose to this sh*tshow 😫
  6. He occupies space ok but he’s just not that good. You’ll get to see a very good DT Sunday in Vita Vea who is a monster and everything Star is not
  7. I wonder if fans start calling David Culley racist for benching Tyrod?
  8. 33 year olds don’t usually pass away suddenly
  9. Probably…either that or suicide. He was too young, damn
  10. Don’t post routes take a little longer to develop?
  11. Good article and to his point - he’s right. Enough talk about what they need to do…actually do it.
  12. Jerry actually talked about this on the Tim Graham podcast. He said that several other members of the media asked Bills players in previous weeks using the word “embarrassed” and none took offense to it. I think Hyde and Poyer were obviously frustrated and Sullivan’s direct nature, cadence, and history probably was the reason why Hyde acted how he did. Even Tim Graham said that it was a poor question because it was a yes/no question. He also said he wouldn’t use the word “embarrassed.”
  13. LOL I always thought that if you shaved the head of the guy from Modern Family he’d look like McDermott
  14. Josh does have some freedom to change plays at the line. I remember earlier this season, some of the running plays that everyone hates were audibles that Josh changed into.
  15. It sounded like Daboll was going to San Diego but he couldn’t interview and Staley blew them away. It was more of a timing issue for him. Also he chose not to interview for Houston - he probably could’ve had that job. I would agree that his stock isn’t as high as last year but he is still highly regarded and a lot can change over the next few weeks
  16. The players at RB for the Patriots are a 3rd round pick (Harris), 4th round pick (Stevenson) and a UFA Brandon Bolden. Players in the same caliber as what the Bills have. The difference is NE is a tremendous offensive line. Running back is a very disposable position IMO
  17. Everyone knows Nagy is getting fired If they end up 9-8 and miss the playoffs maybe
  18. Read the article: AND SPEAKING OF THAT JOB, THERE’S A FAIR BIT OF SMOKE CONNECTING BILLS DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR LESLIE FRAZIER TO CHICAGO. THE QUESTION THEN WOULD BE WHO HE WOULD BRING AS OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR TO OVERSEE THE DEVELOPMENT OF FIELDS. CURRENT BILLS QUARTERBACKS COACH KEN DORSEY COULD BE A CANDIDATE, THOUGH HE IS ALSO A CANDIDATE TO GET THE BILLS’ OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR JOB IF THE CURRENT HOLDER OF THAT JOB, BRIAN DABOLL, GETS A HEAD-COACHING JOB ELSEWHERE.”
  19. Interesting tiddbitt from ESPN insider (Dan Graziano) which speculated that Leslie Frazier might be a candidate for Bears HC after Matt Nagy gets fired this season. He would not be an exciting hire but I always thought he was a great leader and everyone seems to love him. Chicago would make a lot of sense considering his connection to the 85 Bears. Of course, this could also be his agency trying to drum up interest https://www.sportsmockery.com/chicago-bears/leslie-frazier-reportedly-connected-to-bears-head-coaching-job/?amp
  20. I think the fifth fall of Buffalo should be this ridiculous topic for a thread
  21. Good post Dave. I’ve been a McDermott supporter for a long time and I do think he’s a good coach. Bills fans are such a bi-polar bunch. Bills fans were crowing about McDermott as a top coach in the NFL and now some want him fired. I do feel that some in the media like Tim Graham, Jerry Sullivan, and Matthew Fairburn (all friends by the way) like to pile on McDermott when things go bad. Fairburn who had issues with McDermott a few years back seemed to get a lot of enjoyment saying how Belichick “embarrassed” McDermott. He’s not on the Buffalo beat any more so he has a little more freedom to lob some grenades from Boston
  22. Yep, the NFL is a chess match. Something works well on offense and defense figure it out and the offense has to counter and on…. Defenses figured out how to slow Mahomes and Allen with Cover 2 shell. Both teams tried responding by running the ball to little success because they lack talent in the running game (Buffalo more than KC). Also both teams want to fire their OC! Hate to say it but kinds like Belichick and even Frank Reich seem to be one step ahead sometimes
  23. This is a given. I have a feeling that his favorite players John Feliciano and Ike Boettger are leaving with him next year as well
  24. I love Beane and McDermott but it seems to me like they overvalued and overestimated their roster. They placed lot of faith in players on last season’s roster to shore up some of the weakness of the last season. In most cases these players are less effective than last season. OL: Dion Dawkins, Cody Ford, John Feliciano, Daryl Williams DL: Star Lotulelei, AJ Epinesa, Jerry Hughes, Mario Addison, Harrison Phillips RB: everyone but Taiwan Jones The only area of concern in the off-season who has met expectations fairly well is Levi Wallace at CB2. He has not been great but he actually has gotten better.
  25. When has a running backs coach ever made a significant difference? The problem is both the line 1A and our backs 1B
