  1. Collinsworth is brutal. Do not like him. The easy choice is Tony Romo
  2. Bills are in a good place for OT with Dion, Williams and Big Ty and Ryan Bates as backups. I feel that they was Feliciano in the starting lineup and then they can move Winters to the left side until Ford gets back. The line they want will be Williams, Feliciano, Morse, Ford and Dawkins.
  3. Out of all the names getting tossed around Dalvin Tomlinson is the player that I think makes the most sense. Many have speculated because the Bills need help at 1DT and because Beane worked under Dave Gettleman. But, I’m not convinced Gettleman is even to trade him. While it would make sense, you can argue that there’s a chance he won’t even be around to use the draft capital he could acquire for Tomlinson in a trade. Also as poorly as NYG has played this season they are a few plays away from being first in the NFC East. If I am a GM on the bubble I’m in “win now” mode rather than thinking of the future
  4. He is very hard on Sean McDermott due to an altercation they had last year. McDermott took issue with something he wrote and really tore into him at OBD. I think there’s resentment on both sides and sometimes you can hear it in press conferences Bruce Nolan is tremendous. Just wish he would be himself instead of the Jim Carrey character from Bruce Almighty.
  5. Not really.. they usually beat the 2-4 teams. They usually lose to best teams in the AFC
  6. So this isn’t too much of an exaggeration. McDermott is 0-6 versus Belichick. He’s come close to winning the past few times. Hollywood stuff here. The champion is a shell of what they used to be. They are tired and on the ropes. The Bills have the perfect chance to land the knockout punch. Or will the champ use their cunning, intelligence, and whatever heart is left to get out of a situation where they are overmatched? We’ll find out. But this is the perfect chance for the Bills to finally beat NE.
  7. I love these kinds of stories. Same thing with me but it was Rich Stadium.
  8. So every Bills fan is from Buffalo? I don’t think that’s true. Also there are plenty of fans from Buffalo that aren’t Bills fans. I’m curious to know why people are fans and why they’ve stuck with the team Kelly, Thurman and Bruce were my favorite players. And still probably are to this day
  9. The Ronnie Harmon game! If the Bills don’t go on a SB run the next few year, there’s a great chance that he becomes the “Bill Buckner” of Buffalo. That drop is more of an after thought now
  10. I’m curious to know why everyone here became a Bills fan and why.... For me, I knew of the Bills as the local football team but never really paid much attention. Members of my family were Bills fans because they were local but they didn’t follow the team closely. The first year I remember paying attention was in 1988 after the big win versus NYJ to capture the AFCE championship. I also remember the home playoff game against Houston. There was definitely a “buzz” around Buffalo around 1988. It’s the first time I remember seeing a lot of Bills merchandise in stores at the mall - which would increase in subsequent years. For some reason I didn’t follow as much during 1989, but as soon as the team went on a roll in 1990 I started following and never looked back. I’ve watched almost every game since then. After the 4 straight Super Bowl appearances, I remember thinking I wonder what it’s like to NOT finish a season going to the Super Bowl? Sadly, I’d find out many times!!!! But win or lose, I’ll probably always follow this franchise. Just like a Josh Allen game, the good times more than outweigh the bad ones!
  11. Yes...this is it. To put this into perspective, Bill Belichick is the highest paid coach in the NFL at $12 million. He easily works 7 days a week during season and I’m sure he works at least 6 days a week in the offseason. He’s always miserable because coaching is a grind and it’s a super stressful and detail oriented job. Meanwhile Romo earned $17.5 million a year to work a maximum of 3-4 days during the week including travel days during the season. I don’t think he does much for CBS in the off season. Plus Romo already financially set from his playing days. So to be a head coach, he’d have to work more days, longer hours, with more stress and take at least a $5 million pay cut to coach. I think most of us would do what Romo does - enjoy our money and spend a lot of time golfing $17.5
  12. He never had a chance to...I believe he resigned with TB before Free Agency began. So any discussions were probably internal.
  13. As an OC there’s no doubt that he’ll stay in Buffalo as long as he can. But the ultimate goal for any NFL coach is to become a HC. There’s only 32 spots. If Daboll gets a chance to become a head coach, he will take it. I don’t see him turning down HC offers so he can stay home.
  14. I know what you mean. I do feel that Josh needed to learn with experience rather than watching. He even alluded to that last season.
  15. Interesting article from Joe. He breaks down the problems on the Bills and it’s issues at all levels but mainly the front 7. It starts with the defensive line - in particular the DT’s. They aren’t occupying blocks and are losing matchups. Then the LB’s in particular Edmunds. He isn’t reacting and when he does he’s often fooled with misdirection. He has not been able to shed blocks very well. Edmunds was given a D+ which was the lowest score for all players.
  16. Just go through watching the NYUP podcast with guest Tim Graham. I found one tidbit really interesting. Graham said that the Bills looked into signing Ryan Fitzpatrick or Josh McCown in the 2018 offseason as a “placeholder QB” or mentor. I believe that both re-signed with their teams before FA started, which would seem to be the reason why they eventually went with the plan B of AJ McCarron. It’s fascinating to think about what could have been with a Fitzpatrick led Bills team in 2018. I don’t see the team winning much more than they did, but the year definitely would have been fun. It also makes you wonder what happens with Josh and to a lesser extent with Nathan Peterman as a developmental backup. Does learning from Fitzpatrick make them better QB’s? Does Fitz get the best out of guys like Kelvin Benjamin, Zay Jones and even a Robert Foster? Would Josh sit the whole year or would the Bills have another Tua situation on their hands? It’s interesting to think what could’ve happened.
  17. I remember Coach Chuck Dickerson used to call him “the mouse that roared” because at the time he was little skinny guy who yelled during practice and talked so tough . The odd thing about Gregggggg-o was that in 2002 the Bills had a pretty good offense led by Drew Bledsoe, Eric Moulds, Peerless Price, and big Travis Henry. The problem was...you guessed it.... defense. His defense was the team’s undoing in 2002.
  18. Yeah something tells me they aren’t trading Big Fletch....
  19. There probably are a lot of reasons why the Bills couldn’t make a trade like (salary cap) and reasons why Yannick wanted to go to Baltimore (he’s a MD native), but man it’s disappointing to see a player of his caliber traded for so little
  20. There’s no way that this was the plan. My sense is that Flores was feeling some pressure by management or on himself to show what Tua could do. By all accounts, Tua was ok but not overly impressive in training camp. For weeks Flores said he was not ready when asked by reporters. Now he throws 2 passes and he’s suddenly ready to take over? And Fitz wasn’t given a head’s up? I do agree that he needs to play this season, but I also feel that Miami was about to hit its stride as a team. It feels like this move is sacrificing this season for Tua’s development, which might be good in the long run. But you have to feel for Fitz
  21. People are sleeping on Fitz. He has played very well all year and was a big reason why they have been winning. The Miami OL is actually not that good but Fitz has been getting the ball out on average of like 2.75 seconds with good accuracy. If the idea is to sacrifice a potential Wild Card spot for the future, it makes sense. But I definitely don’t think this move will help this season during a time when things were rolling
  22. Plan could have worked if the Bills weren’t so bad on 3rd down
  23. I don’t know... I think you are being pretty lenient on the players who did not really rise to the occasion. From a defensive standpoint the game plan made sense. It’s exactly what Bill Belichick against the Bills in SB 25. They were overmatched from a defensive standpoint especially against Mahomes and his receivers. The choice to allow KC to run against Nickel or Dime to prevent the big play worked for the most part. They were down by 1 possession in the 4th quarter. Of course the game didn’t go as planned on defense especially on 3rd down. I feel they thought the Bills could defend the run a little better than they did. Their line just got destroyed. Offensively, they were stifled by the KC defensive line who owned the Bills and made Allen uncomfortable enough for him to revert back to poor mechanics. There’s a lot of blame to pass around but blaming coaching is scapegoating Not happening
