Do you want Daboll to leave for a HC job?
JohnNord replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Daboll gets blamed for everything that’s gone wrong and little for what has been effective. I don’t want him to go but hope that he’s given a chance to be a HC. Same with Frazier. -
Patriots LT Isaiah Wynn is OUT vs Bills

Gabriel.Davis. He probably was already a mismatch for Mills. Now he’ll be defended by JoeJuan Williams, who I understand is that great. -
Patriots LT Isaiah Wynn is OUT vs Bills

The biggest question mark is Christian Barmore. He was limited in practice but didn’t do anything when the media was there. He couldn’t put any weight on his leg last Sunday. If he’s active, it makes you wonder how much he’ll play and how effective he will be. There’s no way he isn’t hobbled by what happened last week I’ve also heard they may start start Ononwe and flip Trent Brown. This lets them keep the best 5 on the field. Herron was not good last week -
This is amazing. Best post ever

If you’re the GM, you say “My job to get coach the players he wants.” But of course, yes it should go on the GM. A lot of disfunction over at Miami Gardens
-
Not that far out of the realm considering all of the ridiculous praise the media was heaping on Jones earlier this year. Then again, it didn’t seem like Flores had that relationship with Tua…but, who knows?
-
Much like last season, the defense carried the team to most of those wins. Tua did play a little better however
-
This really makes you wonder who Lombardi’s source is. Flores had a reputation as being tough but not abusive toward his players. If he said that I’d like to know the context. He could have said it as a joke and patted him on the back. Still probably not the best think to joke about… but I can’t see him saying this seriously

Grill hot dogs over a garbage car fire…perfect

Back in the day it was the go to spot after last call at 4AM. Nothing was better than a foot long chicken finger sub at 4:30 AM!
-
Wow really….
-
One of my favorite late nights places is Jim’s Steakout. Awesome. Awesome subs. It’s open all night but the closest location might be Amherst. But you could always get it delivered to the stadium via GrubHub and then eat on the way home. If you want, you can get Jim Streakout delivered through GrubHub.

How Long will Bill Belichick Remain Coaching?
JohnNord replied to Nextmanup's topic in The Stadium Wall
He lives for football and is rare breed. I can see him coaching into his 70’s but yeah at some point he will need to slow down -
No he is… literally. They owe him $17M over the final 3 years of his deal. A nice little nest egg for him and his family. It has to be killing him though. He waited his whole career for this and ended up getting screwed

Yeah it’s a bad situation all around. Houston wasn’t the Trainwreck everyone expected them to be
-
I feel bad for him but he knew exactly what he getting into. There’s a reason Brian Daboll refused to interview in Houston. It was Caserio’s plan from the start to hire a coach short term considering the roster was the weakest in the NFL and would not be desirable to big name. Someone like Daboll who has 20 some years of coaching ahead of him can afford to be selective. Older coaches like Culley or Frazier do not. As soon as they hired Culley everyone suggested he was set up to fail. They picked him as he had lots of coaching experience that would be agreeable and would help with the locker room culture and team PR. He was not really qualified to be a head coach, having never worked above a position level coach for 30 years. I’ll say he made the most of a bad situation and fated a lot better than most expected. It is pretty ***** how they treated him but then again, we are talking about Houston Texans. At the end of the day, this was what he signed up for.
-
His knowledge is outstanding but he’ll need a speech coach if he wants to get into broadcasting. Also needs a very charismatic play-by-play man. It’s amazing how much clear he talks here versus his press conference where he simply mumbles. On a side note, listen to him talk about Josh. I read that after Josh beat them in NE last year, BB spent a few extra moments talking on the field to Josh which was unusual for a younger QB. I thibk he has a lot of respect for him as a QB.

I’m not saying they should be sued or arrested…just called out for going on social media and posting information that wasn’t accurate. While the subject matter wasn’t terribly important, they did spread misinformation which is very annoying. I think people should ever consider Trainwreck Sports to be about as reputable as the “insiders” we’ve had on this message board. There was no truth with what they reported

Josh reveals he suffers from poor circulation
JohnNord replied to UConn James's topic in The Stadium Wall
He hasn’t played well in the cold that’s for sure -
Trainwreck Sports are getting a massive pass on this. They should be taken to task for putting out incorrect news. I know that no one cares since they are just a blog site, but that was very irresponsible. They reported that an agreement had been reached…this simply is not the case. It’s ridiculously annoying that people trusted Kevin Massare who clearly has no real sources

All-22 Grades for Bills/Jets (The Athletic)
JohnNord replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
Maybe on a couple throws but on the ones the he highlighted wind wasn’t a factor. It was Josh throwing the ball in one spot on the receivers anticipating he’d be throwing it in another. -
All-22 Grades for Bills/Jets (The Athletic)

https://theathletic.com/3067182/2022/01/12/the-bills-win-could-have-been-even-bigger-and-harrison-phillips-steals-the-show-all-22-film-review/?source=user_shared_article According to his breakdown, the passing inefficiency was likely due to Josh and the receivers not being on the same page. Josh saw big plays to be had by Davis and Knox but they just read the routes differently. Had they don’t this, there could have been some big plays. A few other interesting notes to watch for next week: Harrison Phillips was excellent both as a run defense and pass rusher and scored an “A” grade. Ed Oliver had a ridiculous pressure rate of 27% and even lined up at DE for 2 plays and had a sack on 1. This could be a sign of what’s to come. Daboll used Tommy Doyle as a 6th blocker to good success. He’s been a mauler and the offense averaged 6.7 on plays when he essentially lined up at TE. So while they won by 17, it seems like the score could have even been more lopsided if it weren’t for the breakdowns in the passing game. Highest grades Bills: 1. Phillips (A) 2. Diggs (A-) 3. Hughes (A-) 4. Oliver (A-) 5. Allen (A-) Lowest graded Bills: 27. Bates C+ 28. Brown C+ 29. Rosseau C+ 30. Davis C+ 31. Williams C+
