Why weren’t the Bills allowed to play on the grass?
Virgil replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think this is one of those things that I blindly listen to the players on, regardless of what the science say. The same way you just know if your body is off, seriously hurt, etc, is the same way I trust when all the players say that grass is better. But 🤷🏻♂️ -
Why weren’t the Bills allowed to play on the grass?

You’re not wrong. And maybe I’m buying into what’s TJ said a little too much. Post game, he said it felt like they were playing on concrete. Now, does that mean everyone will get hurt? No. But does it make you wonder if it contributed to the injuries that happened? -
It’s looks amazing from the outside and the noise is well contained within the stadium. inside was like a maze in places, and unnecessarily so. A lot was wide open, but getting around from a middle tier was confusing at times. The seats and bars in front of them were nice, but letting people walk past you in that narrow space was terrible. The home 50 yard side has luxury seats that terrify me for the new bills stadium. They waste a lot of space that eliminates more seats for fans who aren’t going to pay the sure to be crazy pricing. I know the scoreboard layout will be different. I was very loud, and I liked the audio system. But overall, it feels impersonal somehow

Yes, because our offense kept them on the field. If the Bills offense could even must a few first downs, the defense could have caught our breathe. Regardless, the defense kept the game within two scores up until the end.

To me, the score is all that matters. 11 points through 3 quarters was amazing with their injuries. I don’t blame them at all for wearing down in the end.

Why weren’t the Bills allowed to play on the grass?

Because it’s not an exact science. They could have just as easily been injured -
The stadium is a grass stadium, yet we were forced to play on turf; which was apparently very hard. To make things worse, we may have lost some key players for the season as a result. This has nothing to do with outcome of the game. Add in the NFLPA calling for grass fields, yet the NFL prioritizes their cash cow London games over player safety. If I’m the Bills, I lost a home game to that? If the Pegulas could, I’d hope they tell league to ***** off to future neutral site games

Week 5, Jagoffs v. Bills - Predict the Score
Virgil replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
London Jags 31 Bills 6 The Jaguars continue to be the bane of Josh’s existence as the Bills have a huge emotional letdown game. Spencer Brown gets manhandled and Josh is running for his life. Buffalo can’t get anything going on offense and the legend of TLaw begins anew. -

Since you didn’t talk team record, it has to be Cousins and Jefferson. Tua and Hill are second. -

NFL Offense > Defense Pendulum Swinging Back?
Virgil replied to EmotionallyUnstable's topic in The Stadium Wall
Correct, but most defenses were keeping one safety deep on the majority of plays. Even the two safety deep setup typically had one of them starting in the box. Now, teams are keeping the 2 safeties deep, with a 3rd option to drop back. None of it is new, as you say, but the trend and execution is starting to shift back. Same as how the NFL adjusted to the Greatest Show on Turf. -
NFL Offense > Defense Pendulum Swinging Back?

I'm too lazy to look, but ESPN wrote an article about exactly this a few weeks back. The shifting towards the 2-3 safety look to prevent the deep back. The Anti-Chiefs/Bills defense -
Spodrac has his next contract projection at 11 mil per year. With how we are utilizing him so far, it's hard for me to justify wanting to pay him that much. He's definitely a dilemma
