  1. several holding penalties esp in first-half against almost the entire starting line-up most were in pass play IIRC...
  2. Beane has a done a great job of working with minimal cap and continuously bringing in the Buffalo vets for depth, leadership and contributions as needed...Shaq, Barkley, Phillips, Marlowe, Brown, Cole B, AJ Klein...proof of a positive culture...well done.
  3. if you narrow it to a coach decision Frazier is not going to bubble-up to the top of the candidate list...if you want to build a foundation first where culture comes next to find and develop good people and decisions, then maybe he has a chance... I wouldnt mind him moving on for multiple good reasons, including draft choice...but first we got some business to take care of...hopefully two playoff games at home
  4. its more a question what they will do rather than what I would do: as much as we need IOL, the only high picks made are Ford and Brown (a bust and a work-in-progress)...so likely...no...because you dont draft based on immediate need...and...add the head coach with a strong preference not to play rooks....but...Morse concussions and last year of his pricey contract may have them make take an interior who can play spot guard for one year with the rest of the cavemen and then switch to C the year after ??? secondly...Davis coming-up on last year of contract...not a given as sometimes plays like a number two, and at times a number three...but likely to get over-paid as Robert Woods once did as a number two, and if so it wont be us...simply cannot loose our passing game fastball so a higher pick on a WR makes sense esp since can be mentored year one with spot duty...Shakir becomes the slot guy ?....exit or paycut to McKenzie in favor of more speed and better hands ? Crowder the backup on a cheap contract ? the rest of the rounds...best athlete available...DT for sure, and the usual tackle and or guard taken late round...Hamlin the only db-safety being drafted by this regime ? does Benford project to that postion next season for Poyer ? fwiw...the gal pal is a nurse, a head nurse (yes, oh yes and OH YES) and says Morse can play tackle, as he did in college and his mobility is still good, and less likley to get concussed on the exterior compared to the interior small space ?
  5. its the Patriot way, so its not a fine or dirty play unless NFL reviews and determines it to be....
  6. Kingsley per spotrac, spent camp with us, cut at end of camp, immediate claim by Bears who kept until mid-Nov cut and then we claimed: 7 games active - 6 games played - 35 snaps - will keep an eye on this NOV 17 2022 Signed to the practice squad by Buffalo (BUF) NOV 15 2022 Waived by Chicago (CHI) AUG 31 2022 Claimed off waivers by Chicago (CHI) AUG 30 2022 Waived by Buffalo (BUF)
  7. true dat...missing on one is somewhat understandable...maybe...maybe not...but two in the top 3..under two different GMs/coaches ???
  8. grazie...buone feste...Buon Natale, amici! heya...we loova deeze faacking guise...
  9. good point...forgot about that...but his decline was immediate and his departure (under Beane and McD no less) indicated a selfish, immature jerk....
  10. being an expert on busts, mostly womens, on occasion I do stray into the realm of jock-sniffing, jock-worship and just plain..joucularity: https://sportsnaut.com/20-biggest-nfl-draft-busts-of-all-time/ take your pick, no Bills on the list...so: https://clutchpoints.com/5-biggest-nfl-draft-busts-in-buffalo-bills-history I also add: 70s...Walt Patulski, The Nebraska LB Twins 80s...Booker Moore, Perry Tuttle...2015...Marcel Dareus.... hey it happens to every team....happy holidays everybody !
  11. agree...the game prime presentation isnt that as its too quiet-sterile...lacks energy...Kirk is a newcomer to the NFL and his analysis-insights are very basic cuz the college itself provides energy-enthusiasm on the field and the students-alumn in the stands...the band...but its basic in the X and Os... Al is same ole Al...love the guy for decades but he isnt an entertrainer and retirement is a lot sooner than later it seems
  12. we can only hope their will be a spin-off comedy from the movie...where Gronk plays the goofy, neighbor who pops in and his NFL buddies stop by to provide guest-star cameos...thinking canned laughter, AFLAC and the bleeping as sponsor, along with AARP...I will leave it the cerebal giants on this portal of enlightenment to proicde the name of the series...
  13. yeah as much as I have been pulling for that UB guy...he muffed the Jefferson catch at a critical time (tried to catch it rather than knock-it-down) and now the roughing-the-punter-personal-foul-wtf in a big game...
  14. vendetta + hatred of rivals = drama ~ entertainment ~ emotion you can always change the channel or not watch..but as far as the Bills...we are addicted to adrenaline, 4ht quarter rush thereof... What does schadenfreude mean? It's obvious that schadenfreude is not an English word—it's German, and it's made up of the words Schaden, which means “harm” or “damage,” and Freude, which means “joy.” By definition, schadenfreude means finding joy in someone else's misfortune. But there is a one-word English equivalent. It is “epicaricacy” which means rejoicing at, taking fun in, or getting pleasure from the misfortune of others.
  15. when I was a naive kid the pro bowl meant something, in awe of the greats of the game no matter what they did and could not get enough football... as adults we all know better, and we dont want to see anyone hurt, like Wally Chambers (Bears) see below...and the only purpose it served was as a funeral to the season that just passed. Now we have the cap, free agency, the draft (and all the mocks that go along with it) to carry us thru until late July... (extract from Chicago Tribune - Ranking the best Bearsplayers ever) Chambers’ third trip to the Pro Bowl derailed his career and is part of the reason modern versions of the game feature linemen playing patty-cake. Chambers banged his right knee in the January 1977 game, leading to “traumatic arthritis” and the decomposing of the cartilage underneath his kneecap. He had been able to battle through injuries before, including shoulder and back ailments, but this was different. Chambers never was the same. He missed all but four games in 1977, was traded to the Buccaneers in ’78 and was out of the league after the ’79 season at 28.
  16. right...his cap number jumps 5M to 8.5M next season - he is going to be 31 soon as well- good news is that on top of quality of play he has a history of durability - but of course a lot of mileage on that body...his 2024 year automatically voids 23 days before the 2024 league year and already has a 1.8M dead cap
  17. salary cut or just plain cut ? I dont think we can trust his hands as a returner or receiver and his gadget-jet stuff is limited by that as well 2023 Roster Bonus: $250,000 (3rd league day of 2023) 2.5M cap hit with a 300k dead cap hit and we do need the cap space...
  18. advice for coach - dont listen to pist-off fanbase hours after a win...its hard enough after the losses all three close, gut-wrenching...but you know that meesage to the fanbase: we are not good enough to win 72-0 every week...
  19. the parents were sick so a friend and I went as 11 year-olds by ourseleves...I do remember JD Hill TD catch and people tearing the place apart to take souveniers home. Went to three games at the Rockpile...71 Cowboys...72 Vikings...and the grand finale against Lions...
  20. its the coaching preference of McD - minimize mistakes, improved execution, lack of confidence in rookies Its second time thru the AFC rivals who play pretty good D and of course the playoffs - so John Brown may play over the rookie which I am fine with provided he earns it in practice James Cook is the most glaring example of having to improve execution during practices and games with blocking, routes and recognizing holes with the zone blocking techniques used. rookies not used to the longer grind of the NFL season - Overall Bills have been one of the most experiened teams in the NFL during his time... currently we are 5th oldest team at 27.02 - league avg is 26.69 Tampa is oldest at 27.44 - skewed by Brady Browns youngest at 25.45 AFC East: Miami 8th oldest, Jets 11th oldest, NE 4th oldest - notice a trend ?
  21. they only have adult small and 3 XL left in stock...one extreme or the other...just like Bills football
  22. another chapter in the great book of Buffalo Bills football history... the great dig-out and the journey to a home game in another state...love the behind-the-scenes, the players sharing their personal scenes and videos, the community rallying around the players, getting it done and getting the W...and the doing it all over again in less than 96 hours... great quote from Squirrel Winter...about Josh saying...whats your name again ? ..we love them...and they love us...
  23. dont disagree, but is he ready for the head job after just one year....and if he does get the interview...and is not selected...would love to see the video capturing his reaction, eruption, explosion....
  24. betcha he's been called Bill Keaton a few times ???
