The Athletic All-22 Review - Bills/WFT
First Round Bust replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
read it and weep per Joe B...here are the Bills lowest grades after 3 games Josh is at the top of the bottom...and the bottom feeders are mostly OL with Mario, Oliver and then Zimmer the lowest on the D.. example - says Oliver was 1:1 for all of the last game and did not pressure the qb grade and snaps Feliciano and Dawkins have the most snaps on the team -
beane was quoted as saying they had a first-round grade on Ford and they did move up in the second-round to get him...he has been hurt as well and the rotation to the tackle didnt quite work but he has the experience to kick-out there as emer fill-in...its all about your expectations...getting outplayed by a quality lineman like Payne is not an embarassment unless it continues on a weekly basis...he does seems to have heavy feet...not sure what the fix is unless he looses some weight to gain quickness
-
I defer to Joe B at the Athletic and his ALL-22 review which is published Weds after game review Mon and Tues - he gets technical-analytical-specific - worth it esp helpful is the season-long grades total in addition to the good game review of all players

A quick look at the remaining schedule...
First Round Bust replied to Rubes's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
tis the season of great expectations...why not...lets live large and enjoy any way we can ! -
...the OL...playing better...some TE and RB pass=blocking help ...Josh...had to figure out Sanders co-existing with Diggs and Beasley...its option 1A-1B-1C which is a blessing and a curse when the vets are all capable of getting open... ..D..starts with stopping the D..Star is under-rated in his contribution and a healthy Milano is having a All-Pro start to his season. and lastly coaching...needs to avoid "laying an egg"...see AFC champ game and season-opener ST...19 still figuring the subtle details of returning...Stevenson eligible to comeback from IR as soon as game 3...careful if its a move to the PS he may get claimed as Houston lost a returner...
-
and virtually no sun that day, slate-grey-Nov sky all day...add several hours of pre-game activity of eating-drinking and being merry, walking-around, throwing the ball around, waiting-in-line, then 3 hours of football watching...man we were spent... and if you want the Hammers lot experience, you can expect that lot to be full around 730 AM.

legacy is the fish from the 0 for the 1970s daze...then came the Pats and the same dominance over us thanks to TB-BB and our long-term incompetence...Jets..meh not worth it..outside the div...Chiefs, the road to the SB requires beating them....Steelers-Ravens...playoff wins usually required...NFC...Cowboys always a valued scalp...

one example, of soo many, jock and the average person, who are negative about Buffalo and when they visit-live in the area, the attitude changes to the positive...I took some friends from the Wash DC area up to Buffalo the last time we hosted Washington as they wanted to sample the Bills home game day experience; needless to say the Bills are their second favorite team and enjoyed our people, food and football culture...but they said our 40 degrees has to be the coldest they have experienced example two...Jerry Glanville, long-time coach, told a story that when as assistant he took a job in Buffalo, that his wife was upset and cried over it, and when they left town for another job, that she was upset and cried about leaving Buffalo... so good luck to Shady, he was the last of our go-to-backs when running the ball was still a priority..

Bobby Hart returns - signed to PS
First Round Bust replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
well at least Brown, Doyle and likely Ford and last-active-roster-spot; Bates, provide swing tackle depth before tapping into PS depth...Spain, Winters, Long, Bodine, Newhouse and now Hart have to be the bottom feeders of Bean's transactions, but if the coach says get me a vet and you dont have cap room...dis-hart-ening... -
great to see the rook have an impact game so early in the season, esp in his hometown, great for his confidence...as well as the DC having an outstanding game plan which was very aggresive

Haack is kicking really slow [Moderator Edited🤦♂️]
First Round Bust replied to Gisele's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
agree that the RFA qualify offer was likely too high so Bojo likely felt good about testing the market and rightly so, but had to wait until April to sign a lower-than-expected deal (Rams) and the Bills signed Haack very quickly, March 16, to 3 year deal, whereas Bojo got 1 year, and traded... -

likley...so Bojo went UFA, had to wait it out and ended up signing for 1.020M with Rams who traded him to GB for TBD at end of camp...Haack makes 1.575M..so what are we getting for that extra 500k that Bojo could not provide after a pretty good year... -
Dolphins similar to early 2010 Bills?
First Round Bust replied to The Real Buffalo Joe's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
in addition to the D and a legit coach who keeps on beating the Pats, next year they have the most cap space, plus they are maturing (they had a ton of picks over past two years) and would likely be in the running for a Watson trade (he makes them a contender, cool city, great weather, no state tax, etc)... -

what would have expected if it was done to Brady or Josh ? -
What happens if Tua Doesn’t Get Hurt?
First Round Bust replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
no run game established, so tua would have gotten the ball out quicker, as the pressure dictates, so would like to see D take away his first preferences-tendencies... which has me thinking about upcoming home game with another young qb, the expected pressure and crowd noise has to have a good coach like Rivera make his qb get rid of it in 2.5 secs more or less...so your answer may come this Sunday at home..bring it...but stop the run first. -
keys mia - D - they pay their both corners top money - so they use man a lot but dont have an organic pass rush so they blitz - that combo seems to allow the Bills to gameplan very well as I dont see them adopting zone coverages as the Steelers did Mia - O - short-intermediate passing so far - TE vertical seams down the middle are lethal when Bills LBs blitz or are a step behind due to play action - this is a game where the Bills pass rush needs to that improvement helped by controlling the LOS-run game. Note: Will Fulller vet Mia WR with speed- will miss game due to personal reason..

How did Rousseau play against the Steelers?
First Round Bust replied to GreggTX's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
that a good point, with that wingspan and some spatial dara from metrics, those 2.5 second drops should yield some smaller arc-radius throws ripe to be batted away with proper placement, like a pass defensed...oh and note to cornerbacks when you are running for 3-4-5 seconds on those longer-than-usual routes how about a read - like a focus on the head of the receiver and when you see it turn - turn yours to the ball as well -huh - maybe ??? -

kelsay got 5 or more sacks in only 3 out of his 10 seasons, all with the Bills, of course...sigh Schobel is well, second on career sack list... and not on the wall of fame ?...and likely neve will be ??...but Hansen, Smerlas...are ??? good company guys... anwyways...between 5 and 10 is what Mario Addison has done for the past 7 seasons, and has netted him over 47M during the span - including a 2M pay cut 2.5 second qb throws are the main reason its going to be hard to sack qbs esp in Buff with the return of crowd noise... https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/A/AddiMa00.htm -

in addition he started played lot more than AJE I know we want and need impact - but its reasonable to expect between 5-10 sacks from him..which is what Hughes would get in his prime... more QBs are getting the balls out in the 2.5 secs range, you have to expect that to continue given the crowd noise esp on passing downs... so -
good to see a analysis that is reasonable - give Pitts some credit they played well - in addition to their front 4thye changed to a zone defense scheme - a from their man-heavy schemes of the recent past led by safety Fitzpatick who played very well - he had 10 combined tackles and was a ball-hawk all game...

Can the Bills win a SB without a killer instinct
First Round Bust replied to Rebel101's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
the biggest issue this past week: 1. poor O gameplan and no adjustments to help the O-line deal with pass protection issues - this is on the O-coord 2. special teams blunder on the blocked-punt - those points were the difference 3. picking on Levi during-crunch time and not making the plays- TE seam routes down the middle - same as last season Was a kick in the nads for all of us, and the fans over-reaction comes with the high expectations...Sunday cant get here quick enough -
