I cant see us drafting a TE in the second or trading up in the third round for one unless he is the second coming of a freak like Knox..but we can say this for multiple future "need" positions as well...S and RB come to mind if we move on from Poyer or Zack Moss this season and Singleton next season

actually this is the new and improved and updated stadium thread that speaks to the stadium funding being officially approved by the NYS legilslature budget. what is not new and missing is what is the benefit to the community, beyond the Bills games and the Bills staying, which is number one I get it, but ithat is s what the advocates for the stadium in the city was all about. Beyond the Bills games what else does new york state - erie county and orchard park get but newer and empty parkng lots used 12 times a year ?

Source: Bills interested in Western Michigan WR Skyy Moore
First Round Bust replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
source: Brugler Dane - released his "Beast" today - 1698 player rankings and 398 player analysis small extract from the Athletic (paywall) projects as slot-receiver - 7th best WR and 39th overall SUMMARY: A three-year starter at Western Michigan, Moore was a boundary wide receiver (slot and outside) in offensive coordinator Eric Evans’ RPO-based scheme. A quarterback and cornerback in high school, he made the switch to receiver at WMU, learned under Dee Eskridge and became the first 1,000-yard receiver since Corey Davis (2016), averaging 5.7 catches per game over his 30 games for the Broncos. A physically and mentally tough competitor, Moore creates route leverage with his foot quickness and is extremely reliable at the catch point thanks to his large, sticky hands and quick-reaction ball skills. Although he isn’t an explosive YAC threat, he flashes natural instincts with the ball in his hands and makes it a chore for defenders to get him on the ground. Overall, Moore might have [52] trouble creating sizable passing windows vs. NFL coverage, but he has outstanding hands and reflexes with the detail-oriented mindset to grow into a three-level threat. He projects best as an NFL slot receiver. GRADE: 2nd Round (No. 39 overall -
Jordan Poyer changes agents
First Round Bust replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall
exaclty...free agent comp pick would aslo take the string out esp if we draft a replacement early rounds...Jacquan Johnson has been a backip all along to the point where he is also UFA after season, and Hamlin has another season to progress... -

Hammer is a star - will Will Smith slap him?
First Round Bust replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
has will smith ever been to Buffalo ? -
espn+ is a good economic streaming choice for MLB games, 70 per year plus you get a lot of NHL games with the new NHL contract, a good option if you live outside of WNY for Sabres and or your MLB team....tmobile gives you the MLB package as a subsriber as well...

Bills match Bears Offer Sheet for Ryan Bates, 4 yr deal
First Round Bust replied to nato7412's topic in The Stadium Wall
yeah 4 years sounds execessive but at least 1 is a void year and is he the replacement center for Morse in 1-2 years...hmm -
poor Whaley was mentored by good ole Buddy Nix, who didnt get the NFL transformation to the passing game was key...and if Whaley did,...the two #1 traded for Watkins and the selection of EJ Manuel in the first round, each by themselves are just cause for terminatiion...

its the offseason and its keeping the barnyard animals fed with quality "content" which is the root of your question. Enjoy or criticize or both daily. We all have our more trusted-valid-most favored sources and mine is: Dane Brugler from the Athletic will be relasing "The Beast" soon - a culmination of several months of outstanding scouting, analysis and ranking by position of several hundred prospects including those that he considers UDFA. He does mock drafts as well but The Beast is not round-oriented as it is just pure stats, strengths and weaknesses...

Round 1 Mock Draft - Bills Complete (2.0 on Page 2)
First Round Bust replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall
I do like his RAS, but other than Cody Ford and maybe becuase of him, Bills likley not go for IOL in round one, I would like a trade-down and pick-up another third or fourth rounder -
as Diggs said yesterday...the hell going on ? The have nots have blown the market wide open for qbs and wrs...under normal condiions Beane has done extensions late camp-early season, if this is an issue I would think it has to be resolved prior to the draft next month so we can re-tool...Hill's trade to Miami places focus on our CB quality, but a potential Diggs trade would also require a WR selection ahead of that or not ? A silver lining to the trade would make more cap room for an extension easier for: edmunds, poyer, Knox, Davis....or a Landry, OBJ vet add
-
if he gets cut, I can see us claiming and placing on PS for depth, he is a Carolina alumn so likely would be welcomed back

what a whirlwind week...amazing amount of big moves overall at the key qb and wr positions... Bills had helluva haul, with limited cap space BBB (Big Baller Beano) still got the job done and has not placed the future in cap jail either. Improving the pass rush and interior of the DL with more size and talent, but the OL is going to be a constant wokr-in-progress at the guard position until a draftee develops into steady state. Rivals - Miami improved the line and now has speed to help Tua, this could be his last season so lets hope he's mediocre and muddies that decision for them. NE and Jets not much improvement this UFA seaon The AFC West is catching-up to KC, lets see them drop a notch and play some playoff road games as under Mahomes KC has not played a single AFC playoff on the road.

Bungles sign OL Fred Johnson and waive him hour later
First Round Bust replied to Saxum's topic in The Stadium Wall
you gotta have Hart and ex-Bungles OL...Bobby Hart...the question and the answer all roled into one -
no S at pick 25 as I want J Williams - if gone I hope we trade down and get another second or third rounder for WR and CB or CB and WR - as far as CB (other than character) I want the best in class: SEC (top competition), long arms 32+ and the best 40 time...then comes smarts/feel for the game. tackling and hip-turn fluidity.

agree, was wondering why the Colts were saving their significant cap dollars, Ryan can still do damage and this may be a salary dump with limited value going back to ATL; Colts are in win now mode and I guess they prefer Ryan to Baker Mayfield asking price may differ this season, tho they can always try him next season...

Al Michaels/Kirk Herbstreit to headline Amazon's TNF
First Round Bust replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall
luv Al, always have and always will, but I prefer Herb Kirkstreit to the other guy -
his stats do show some ability to catch the ball out of the backfield with a 8+ yards/reception, which is what we had (temporarily) with the JD Makes-Me-Sick signing, yeah the Duke not a a big play/speed guy but perhaps Dorsey is going to add that feature to the scheme where the safeties are playing deeper and the under-wheel-flat routes show some opportunities...will take 8-9 yards at-a-time to keep the chains moving for sure as there are going to be plenty of long drives that eat clock, rest the D, and end in FGs, to go along with the big plays https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/duke-johnson-16801/stats-valuation/

So whats left to do to free up cap?
First Round Bust replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall
good accounting...now for the practice squad, they draw a weekly salary as well, does that hit the cap as well for another 1M+ -
So whats left to do to free up cap?
First Round Bust replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall
if you look at the draft pickson the roster from the 2021 draft, per spotrac, the top five picks made the active roster plus Speedy, so the total cap hit come the season for rooks was 6M...got to pay the piper sooner or later, expect some extensions before then to further accomoate...plus the annual 2M Beano uses in reserve. -
