  1. espn+ is a good economic streaming choice for MLB games, 70 per year plus you get a lot of NHL games with the new NHL contract, a good option if you live outside of WNY for Sabres and or your MLB team....tmobile gives you the MLB package as a subsriber as well...
  2. yeah 4 years sounds execessive but at least 1 is a void year and is he the replacement center for Morse in 1-2 years...hmm
  3. poor Whaley was mentored by good ole Buddy Nix, who didnt get the NFL transformation to the passing game was key...and if Whaley did,...the two #1 traded for Watkins and the selection of EJ Manuel in the first round, each by themselves are just cause for terminatiion...
  4. its the offseason and its keeping the barnyard animals fed with quality "content" which is the root of your question. Enjoy or criticize or both daily. We all have our more trusted-valid-most favored sources and mine is: Dane Brugler from the Athletic will be relasing "The Beast" soon - a culmination of several months of outstanding scouting, analysis and ranking by position of several hundred prospects including those that he considers UDFA. He does mock drafts as well but The Beast is not round-oriented as it is just pure stats, strengths and weaknesses...
  5. the D ready and willing to give-up big plays over the middle due to soft-deep coverage,
  6. I do like his RAS, but other than Cody Ford and maybe becuase of him, Bills likley not go for IOL in round one, I would like a trade-down and pick-up another third or fourth rounder
  7. as Diggs said yesterday...the hell going on ? The have nots have blown the market wide open for qbs and wrs...under normal condiions Beane has done extensions late camp-early season, if this is an issue I would think it has to be resolved prior to the draft next month so we can re-tool...Hill's trade to Miami places focus on our CB quality, but a potential Diggs trade would also require a WR selection ahead of that or not ? A silver lining to the trade would make more cap room for an extension easier for: edmunds, poyer, Knox, Davis....or a Landry, OBJ vet add
  8. if he gets cut, I can see us claiming and placing on PS for depth, he is a Carolina alumn so likely would be welcomed back
  9. what a whirlwind week...amazing amount of big moves overall at the key qb and wr positions... Bills had helluva haul, with limited cap space BBB (Big Baller Beano) still got the job done and has not placed the future in cap jail either. Improving the pass rush and interior of the DL with more size and talent, but the OL is going to be a constant wokr-in-progress at the guard position until a draftee develops into steady state. Rivals - Miami improved the line and now has speed to help Tua, this could be his last season so lets hope he's mediocre and muddies that decision for them. NE and Jets not much improvement this UFA seaon The AFC West is catching-up to KC, lets see them drop a notch and play some playoff road games as under Mahomes KC has not played a single AFC playoff on the road.
  10. you gotta have Hart and ex-Bungles OL...Bobby Hart...the question and the answer all roled into one
  11. no S at pick 25 as I want J Williams - if gone I hope we trade down and get another second or third rounder for WR and CB or CB and WR - as far as CB (other than character) I want the best in class: SEC (top competition), long arms 32+ and the best 40 time...then comes smarts/feel for the game. tackling and hip-turn fluidity.
  12. well I for one would benefit from not seeing those commercials which depict him living at the stadium, funny for 1 year maybe, but not more...
  13. agree, was wondering why the Colts were saving their significant cap dollars, Ryan can still do damage and this may be a salary dump with limited value going back to ATL; Colts are in win now mode and I guess they prefer Ryan to Baker Mayfield asking price may differ this season, tho they can always try him next season...
  14. luv Al, always have and always will, but I prefer Herb Kirkstreit to the other guy
  15. his stats do show some ability to catch the ball out of the backfield with a 8+ yards/reception, which is what we had (temporarily) with the JD Makes-Me-Sick signing, yeah the Duke not a a big play/speed guy but perhaps Dorsey is going to add that feature to the scheme where the safeties are playing deeper and the under-wheel-flat routes show some opportunities...will take 8-9 yards at-a-time to keep the chains moving for sure as there are going to be plenty of long drives that eat clock, rest the D, and end in FGs, to go along with the big plays https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/duke-johnson-16801/stats-valuation/
  16. good accounting...now for the practice squad, they draw a weekly salary as well, does that hit the cap as well for another 1M+
  17. if you look at the draft pickson the roster from the 2021 draft, per spotrac, the top five picks made the active roster plus Speedy, so the total cap hit come the season for rooks was 6M...got to pay the piper sooner or later, expect some extensions before then to further accomoate...plus the annual 2M Beano uses in reserve.
  18. spotrac info below- sincewe usually keep the top 5 picks on the roster - they will hit the cap at around 5+ to 6M..pricey snot rookies If we dont draft J Williams at 25 which is my only hope for keeping the pick, I trade down for a 2nd and 3rd - giving a 4th or 5th - I aint doing the cap math on conjecture just yet
  19. also have to come up with cap to pay for the draft just over 6M Plus usual 2M that BBB (Big Baller Beano) likes to do annually, plus Bates, plus vet slot ? Additionally, I think 1M of Keenum deal was paid for by the Browns yesterday in roster bonus so that helps extensions...Diggs for sure, Edmunds, Poyer, Knox possbly as those 3 are in last years of contract.
  20. damn there goes my hope for a punter draftee on day tha-ree...ohe well into the UDFA laundry basket pile we shall go...
  21. oh no, I lost a friend, somehow a lot us of connected with John, not the most colorful or flamboyant espn personality mind you but somepne who had enough info, credibility, insights and personality to continue to be a person of relevance, sorry to hear he passed at age 67...life is indeed short, going to miss you John, thanks for the great job you did even after leaving espn, may you rest in peace and give us that quirky-nerdy smile when we remember you in the years to come...
  22. I guess the Vikings visit did not work out ? they dont have much cao, but the Pats have more so I guess we are looking at him as backup or cheap starter and the Pats may pay him starter money
  23. spotrac has Phillips listed on the Bills roster as of this afternoon so that is official as far I am concerened and darn happy about it
