  1. Yeah, good points. Those 9:30 games have also had some wonky results over the years. All of that considered, my gut is telling me stay away from it. And I don't want to mess with my gut, because that's where I store all my beer.
  2. That's exactly why I stayed away from Chargers - Giants last week. And I'm obviously glad I did. But I'm going with Minnesota because this one feels a little different with the Vikings playing the 2nd of 2 across the Atlantic. I think that's a factor. It seemed like it played a role in the Jags win over the Bills a couple of years ago. And that actually has me scratching my head about this one. Cleveland is considered the home team, but they're the more disadvantaged traveling team.
  3. I remember Mike Foligno was asked why he didn't wear a visor when the NHL made it mandatory (aside from those grandfathered) and he said he tried it but didn't like it. He liked to feel the wind in his face when he was rushing up the ice.
  4. NFL = Crack A lot of fans don't like the direction the NFL is going and are sick of the amount of money their sucking out of all the fans pockets without a single regard for the average Joe that just wants to sit down on a Sunday afternoon to watch a game. But those same fans just can't (or refuse to) break free of it. So they'll say, "Hulu and Peacock are only $7-8 / month, why not just for the season." And so it goes.
  5. When I played in HS, there were a couple of small schools where a few of their guys had to play both ways. Had less than 22. But, that was in the 70s, so things may have been much different. Perhaps it was a population thing.
  6. Maybe this will make Drake Maye think he's seeing ghosts.
  7. Me: "Madison Beer" Madison "Get your own damn beer"
  8. That approach works against bad, or even average teams. But in the playoffs, the teams you're playing against can overcome that approach. Those teams know how to finish drives. And then you're in a shooting match. We've seen that all too often.
  9. That's a good stat, but you need 10 yards for a 1st down. Not trying to be flippant. Just speaking to what the comment below mentions.
  10. I can't remember the last time our defense was dominant. If the Bills are blowing out a team, it's because the offense is lighting up the scoreboard, not the defense shutting down the opponent. Opponents have been staying in games because they can consistently move the ball. Very consistently.
  11. Someone should dress like Waldo, so we can finally find him.
  12. I've never seen a player so elated to have a season, potentially career ending injury. He must have a very favorable injury clause in his contract. He's watched Deshawn Watson the last couple of years and said, "I want that gig!"
  13. Bills are 2nd worst in the league at rushing yards allowed. 657 with 164.3 / gm. Second worst to the Bears at 658; 164.5 / gm.
  14. I'm gonna give it an "incomplete."
  15. It's good, but I've gotta have more 4-0!
  16. Those statements just closed the deal for me. I'm sold!!
  17. The halftime show for me is; getting a cold beer, cleaning out the garage, doing my taxes.....anything but the halftime show.
  18. Let's just stop punting.
  19. I mentioned this last night, but I think we have to accept the fact that Milano will not be available when we get to the stretch run and in to the playoffs. Hopefully the run D gets better when the suspended guys are back and maybe Walker continues to play well I had a thought last night that perhaps the offense seems pretty basic and looks a little bland is because they're just trying to get through these seemingly easy stretch of games. Hopefully Brady opens things up when games are needed for the 1-seed and in to the playoffs.
  20. I wanted Ravens to win today. They didn't. I think they're nearly cooked. Lamar's injury was either the coaches sitting him to save him, or him giving up. Either way, it just became a 2-horse race with the Chargers loss. So, McDermott's nemesis may come back to bite us again. And if that happens......well, it depends on how, but I'll be out on McD. They've been playing down to their opponents the last 2 weeks, it seems. Just too weak.
  21. I'd like to see the offense open up a bit. I understand a balanced offense approach, and Cook is tearing it up, but this offense lacks flare and creativity lately. Games we thought, and maybe should have been easy, haven't been.
  22. They definitely need to bring people in. The injury was to his non-kicking leg, so stability is an issue. Not that the kicking leg would change things, but planting to get leverage for the kick is huge.
