  1. When they vowed to improve, it was a flat-out lie. They wanted L.A. in the SB. The NFL has an obscene infatuation with the L.A. market. It's now clear to me that they're continuing to hand-pick teams.
  2. Don't listen to your doctor. It's obvious to me he cheated on his exams to get his license.
  3. I'm even beyond pissy. The word that keeps coming to mind is 'fixed'! Folks are using other terms; scripted, rigged, skewed. It's all just another term for fixed! If you're going to fix a game and you're trying to hide it, how do you do it? You can't make it obvious. It has to be subtle. Plausible deniability. I must have said about 4 times during the game, 'that's a bad spot'. I didn't know how bad it was until the videos came out and the National commentary started to emerge. I know a lot of folks are just writing it off as poor officiating or unintentional bias. So be it. But I haven't seen that level of bad calls in any game I've watched over the last couple of years. Going back a few years, there was the obvious, blatant missed call in the Saints Rams game. But this wasn't like that. This was surgical. And the football pundits are not going to talk about it. Even if they don't work for the NFL. They'll risk their jobs. I absolutely believe the NFL wields that much weight. This will be the easiest offseason for me in about a decade. After about 50 years of fandom, I'll be doing a good amount of soul searching the next several months. I feel the worst, and best I've ever felt after a playoff loss. (Sigh....end rant!)
  4. It's very easy for me to believe that at least one ref is intentially making those calls.
  5. It's a PTSD sort of thing. When they get the Chiefs in the playoffs, it's deer-in-the-headlights time.
  6. They couldn't use roughing calls to keep the Chiefs drives alive because those would be hugely scrutinized. So, they had to come up with something else. Someone in the NFL headquarters says, "let's just use ball placement to limit the Bills drives." And the overall response was, "Brilliant!"
  7. It comes down to the WRs couldn't eat another bite after eating all season. Just plain full.
  8. We'll know tomorrow.
  9. As was mentioned by Turk, the defense was not the priority last offseason, but it was the previous 2 or 3 years. What's been gnawing at me the last several weeks is; if the Bills don't do it this year, something is wrong with the player personnel, coaching or the process. Maybe all 3. The roster has been built the last few years to fill gaps and get the kind of guys this coach and GM want. And...they're as healthy as they've ever been in the playoffs. If it doesn't happen this year, something isn't working! They've got their guys and they're mostly healthy. This should not be the team sitting in the locker room eating Snickers bars.
  10. Same here. Got my first job working in a pizzeria that year. Brings back memories every time I hear it.
  11. Will they have to get him a harness, or has he grown out of that?
  12. Yes. No doorbell sounds either. And a particular song from Wizard of Oz is also prohibited!
  13. You might be right. I can't remember.
  14. The question is...what to do after the bars close until 6am?
  15. Exactly! I've been watching this for some time now. It's kinda how they justify it. Sometimes the numbers are similar, but it's the timing.
  16. Huge point. Got to keep Mahomes from eushing! Too many eushing yards will kill the Bills.
  17. I'll take this a step further. I have no data to back this up and it could be due to memory bias, but when the Chiefs opponents get called it seems it has a bigger impact. Such as a stop on 3rd down but a penalty gives the Chiefs the first. And when the Chiefs get called, it seems it's more inconsequential. A penalty on 1st or 2nd down or a defensive penalty after their opponent has already gotten the first down. I pay attention to this closely because what's been bothering me the most.
  18. Looks like they'll have to move the game to Detroit.
  19. Well played! Nothing wrong with a little 'savior' nookie.
  20. Unfortunately, that's not the Bills M.O. They normally start slow. It's either a one score game or they're behind at halftime. It's a little maddening, but at least they normally have a real good 2nd half.
  21. Win: "HOOOOORAY" Lose: "F********K
