  1. The more I think about the Douglas trade the more I like it. Saves us from a gigantic hole at CB next year and was a good Tre replacement mid season.
  2. Hyde/Poyer GTD gone. TJ is questionable. Tre gone. Elam gone.
  3. Because it's been frustrating to watch him play patty cake out there for half the season? Until last week, the Bills have been rushing the passer with 3 and covering with 7.
  4. Brock's cast is insane but he's been executing it at a high level. I think they need to just switch to a hockey model. MVP, Best QB, Best WR etc etc. You could say the Pro-Bowl/All-Pro teams do this, but the Pro Bowl is basically dead at this point. MVP as it stands is basically the best statistical QB on one of the best teams, and if that player doesn't exist, it's a historic performance by a future HoF player. As it stands, it's Brock v Dak. And I think Dak gets it if they are the 1 seed.
  5. 100% Dolphins are late season chokers in December. 2023: 1-1, bad loss to Titans already 2022: 0-4, (1-6 if you count January too) And who can forget the win and you're in against the Bills backups and they lost by 20+ in 2020? Tua is a good kid, they have a lot of talent. Deserve some respect but I will believe in the Fins when they can win some games when it gets tough.
  6. I think it’s fair to value QB’s, pass rushers, pass catchers and LT’s above DB’s, when it comes to first round value. I don’t think it’s fair to treat drafting a CB in the late first round like we keep drafting running backs, punters or safeties. if they truly weren’t that valuable, they wouldn’t be the third or fourth highest paid position group league-wide. And they wouldn’t be constantly drafted in the first round. Do you disagree with that?
  7. I’d be screaming at my TV but I’d be screaming still lol
  8. He will probably do it in another game. The season is a marathon.
  9. I don't blame Gabe's mother one bit. On pace for the lowest tgt/game since 2021 and YPC of his career in a contract year. Could be the difference between another $10- $15M. I'd be screaming for them to forcefeed my son too.
  10. As a Bama fan, it’s criminal that @Bill from NYC forgets that one of the best players on Bama is their five star CB Kool Aid McKinstry. Of course, Saban should have never offered him a scholarship. Because of Leodis McKelvin, or something.
  11. The annual December Fish collapse is here already. 0.0 chance, imo, they beat the Cowboys and Ravens. 1-1 is their only hope
  12. Drafting Tre instead of Mahomes or Antoine Winfield 20 years ago has no bearing on the Elam pick, Bill.
  13. No. They didn’t know Elam was a bust. I’m saying that under the 3 major assumptions: 1 Elam was their last 1st round graded player on the board 2 They had major need at CB, with one healthy player who was a backup the year prior 3 They don’t know the results of the draft at the time You would argue they should’ve taken a day 2 graded player instead? On draft night?
  14. Richard Sherman ruptured his Achilles around 28-29 and his play took a serious dip. Tre is now coming off Achilles AND major injury the year prior. I'm not sure he will be WORTH any number.
  15. I curiously enough did not hate the clock management. I agree that the Diggs drop really messed them up. Had the Chiefs marched down the field and scored, like they did, the Bills would have had 1 minute plus with some TO's to drive back down. Not the worst situation to be in. I also thought 10 straight passes after the Josh INT was curious. Felt like that was a really good time to take the ball out of his hands a bit.
  16. We hadn't drafted Benford at the time when we were selecting Elam. And we had one CB who could start on the roster during that time. Elam sucks and is a bust. It sucks. But the vision was obvious. Elam/Dane + Tre when he got healthy. And, ideally, once Elam took the starting job and developed into a budding star, you can move on from Tre (@Bill from NYC rather have a rookie deal CB than a gigantic contract CB, right?) Of course, Benford was also drafted and outplayed Elam by a lot. But physically, I'm not sure he has it in him to be a top flight CB in the league. Which again, sucks. Because we are gonna move on from Tre, and probably cut or trade Elam, and just have some above average DB's.
  17. We barely had a starting corner on the roster and they had one with a first round grade. Are you arguing they should have taken what they believed to be was a lesser player solely because they weren't a DB?
  18. Miami was up 14 with 5 min left in the fourth, just scoring after a Tenn TO. that was just a total fraudulent collapse imo
  19. I interviewed 25 former players, coaches, and staff to talk about Mike Tomlin. Here’s my blog. ”He’s been riding that Super Bowl for over a decade. He’s very arrogant and it’s his way or the highway in that building.” ”If things go south, the first thing Tomlin will do is fire his OC. Of course, it can’t be his defenses’ fault.” ”He basically ignores the offense. The lockerroom doesn’t respect him, look at how the Antonio Brown and Le’veon Bell things turned out. He’s a poor leader.” Subscribe to my blog to read more from these former staff members who clearly have no bias at all when talking about the guy who fired them.
  20. game was perfect until the golden boy took a golden shower on it. ”okay Josh, remember, don’t throw a pick. Don’t throw in triple coverage. Don’t throw directly into a linebacker’s chest. Okay now the playcall is -“ then the mic cuts out. The team just can’t call effective plays and remind Josh that picks are bad. Not enough time on the helmet mic.
  21. Suddenly find a way to score is an incredible reframing of a horrific pick by the TO machine.
  22. Hard to make decisions when you have to beg Josh to not throw picks. Idk how McD has time to call the defense at all.
  23. I wouldn’t expect him to be much more than an also ran playoff QB either, then.
