I think better weapons for Josh will reduce his TO’s. I have been arguing for better WR’s for Josh for like 2 years straight now.

The choice isn't Josh vs no Josh. The choice is Josh as he is (with tons of turnovers) vs an even better Josh (with less turnovers). I pick choice two. I would like the Bills to win the Superbowl.

Scoring more TD's than TO's would've won us Denver/Jets. Tough ask for our elite offense, I know.

Josh is much better than Trent Edwards. So no. Your counterpoints are very funny. Josh needed a miraculous 4th Q comeback against the Pats (don’t forget the defense forcing the TO to enable that comeback, always a forgotten play) because the offense couldn’t score more than a TD through 53 minutes against a terrible defense and a terrible team. If we want to give Josh the lion’s share of the credit for the team’s accomplishments since he’s been here (totally fair), then he also gets a nice piece of the blame pie when the team is 6-6. “Josh is the sole reason we have a couple playoffs wins but nothing is his fault this season” ain’t gonna fly. No QB, franchise or otherwise, in the history of the NFL HAS EVER been blameless for a lost season.

I think the best way to e v a l defenses is efficiency per drive metrics. Bills defense is 10th in points per drive and 13th in yards. Last year they were 5th in points per drive and 13th in yards. There's been a bit of a drop off defensively, but that's much more because of the losses of Milano, Tre, etc Conversely, the Bears defense this season is 17th in yards and 26th in points, last year they were 30 and 32. Their defense is still horrific, but not the worst in the league. And that's really all it comes down to. Edmunds is extremely physically gifted, but not a true difference maker, and thus was never worth a big contract for us.

To bring this topic back to INT's: From an overall INT% metric, Josh's 3% this season puts him in the company of Desmond RIdder (not an NFL QB) and only slight better than Aidan O'Connell and Mac Jones.

If the only statistic that matters is wins, and we are 6-6, I don’t think that supports your argument like you think it does. The only two games this year without a Josh INT were 28+ point wins. Some of our games have come down to a handful of plays, like you said. One less TO vs the Jets, the Pats, the Jags, the Broncos, the Eagles and maybe we win a couple of those games. And maybe we aren’t 6-6 with a season on life support.

You are reading the graphic wrong. You need to sort by average. Josh Allen is 17th btw. I consider that "not even close" to first in a 32 team league.

Offense had 7 and 10 points at 7 min left in the 4th and 5 min left in the 4th. We average 27 PPG. That's bad.

His comments about complementary football were completely correct. The offense puked on its shoes v the Giants, v Jax, v the Jets, v the Broncos and v the Pats. If the offense was just competent in all of those games, we are 3-2 or 4-1 in those games instead of 1-4 and our season isn’t even close to being in danger. Instead, they were horrible

The numbers are the numbers my man. I don’t necessarily agree that Josh has the WEAKEST supporting cast, but I do agree that upgrading our offensive weapons would probably decrease his propensity to press and make poor throws. It’s very fair, imo, to say that Mahomes’ numbers are boosted a bit from having two HoF targets for a chunk of his career. I also think Josh’s gunslinger gutsy mentality drives a lot of these TO’s as well, and that makes him the great QB he is. I just wish he could be a little bit better at picking and choosing his spots.

I guess when I say “almost as much of a TO machine,” I mean that he is not as hyper efficient as the other guys. He scored lots of TD’s. He also turns it over a lot. Which drives down his ratio.

If the Bills played offense as well as they have been the last few weeks (since the end of Kenny boy), we probably would’ve have been competing for the one seed this season. Regardless of the defensive struggles. Ken cost us the season. Sucks.

You extend/rework Josh near the end of his deal to smoothen out that cap hit again. It’s funny money but it works until he retires or we have to cut him.
