  1. The NFL is just a haven for dudes who have zero emotional control over themselves. Part of coming into the league should be therapy and financial literacy courses. So many of these guys have focused so hard on honing the football part of their life that they've let their mental stability go to shambles. It's sad to see.
  2. Less popular: The Bills are and have been the closest team to the Chiefs level in the entire NFL since 2021, and if the Bills or Chiefs were in the NFC it would be a Bills v Chiefs Superbowl since 2020-21. Unpopular: Dawson Knox is way better than fans give him credit for.
  3. These kinds of takes are so intellectually lazy. It's almost insulting. It's so off the mark to suggest that the reason the Bills have lost to the Chiefs has anything to do with Allen's play. Would we have won if Allen was perfect in those games? Yes, but that's an absolutely unrealistic standard to hold any player to. Other players need to step up and do their 1/11th. The dropped passes, getting beaten on blocks, allowing the Chiefs to get 8+ YPP... All of these are much more correctable and realistic changes that can be made before we sink to "well Allen has to do even more". We had no business even being competitive in that game with the way the defense played. Allen has never been the problem in the playoffs. Stop ignoring the offense and stacking it with 2nd rate talent. Stop playing elite offenses with the same tired, basic, defense. You start shifting those things and watch the success go even higher.
  4. This is why I've been onboard with a philosophical coaching change. McDermott absolutely shreds dumpster to good QBs, but he's just too rigid when we're playing a quality offense. I think McDermott is good coach, top ten even in the NFL, but if you aren't elevating your defense in the big time games in January then you're just deadweight. Chris Jones comes alive in the playoffs, a straight up wrecking ball, why don't any of our guys do anything remotely similar? On defense they shrink fast, at least Allen steps up in those critical moments.
  5. Kelce was slowed down when the Bills finally put Sirran Neal on him after 3 quarters of Klein getting burned. Not Klein's fault really either.
  6. I agree with what you're saying, I'm just trying to be optimistic since we know McDermott isn't going anywhere for at least this season. The Bills are an excellent team stuck behind a dynasty team. It's so Buffalo for that to happen.
  7. Sounds right. Despite all the doom and gloom, the Bills have arguably the best "put it all on him" QB in the league and a history of good to elite defenses. Give Allen some more weapons to play with, Brady can implement his system, and keep the defense at around the same level and you've got a contender.
  8. You'd be crazy to argue that McDermott is on a similar level as Reid, I won't pretend otherwise. I was on the "let's move on from McD" bandwagon for most of the season, and I'm still kind of there (purely from a philosophical perspective that Offensive HCs are inherently better choices in the modern NFL). I'm not going to pretend that McDermott is a bottom tier coach though, just because he hasn't done it doesn't mean he can't.
  9. The Bills are the closest team to the Chiefs and they have been since 2020. If the Bills were in the NFC it would have been Bills v Chiefs superbowls 3 of the last 4 seasons. It's unfortunate that the perception of the Chiefs is so much more favorable than the Bills even though the true skill gap is much tighter than most will admit.
  10. Saying the Bills are comically unlucky is like saying the sky is blue but... We are so unlucky to get good at the same time as Reid got Mahomes. The sad part is how damn close we are to the Chiefs in playing ability, but will never get that kind of recognition.
  11. The Sabres are the sacrifice we need to keep Terry Pegula busy and not meddling in the football operations. Night and day difference between orgs.
  12. It's really depressing seeing these kind of headlines over and over. It's not hard to not hit people. It's not hard to not hurt your loved ones in a blatant, traumatizing fashion. Hold yourself to a higher standard.
  13. I don't know how to feel. This seems like a good hire on paper, and it'll be good to get some more outside perspectives working with Allen.
  14. As much of a joke as he was here, he's not a bad defensive mind. His problem was he tried way too hard to pivot away from Schwartz's defense without the right personnel
  15. That's just gross. I'm not saying you should go out and crap all over your QB at your new job, but man, you don't have to praise him like that either. Spineless (or he's okay with the allegations, which obviously worse).
  16. I don't see anything surprising about this list. Makes sense, just get those receivers before you do anything else.
  17. It's not a meaningless stat, but I fail to see how it has much (if anything) to do with the OC. Wouldn't the blame fall to the positions coach well before Brady?
  18. This point is probably understated in the NFL world. A world beater at TE is such a mismatch advantage that other teams need to completely change the way the opposing defense has to cover. It stops teams from playing "their game". Allen hasn't had that yet. DKx2 is a pretty great combo though, if Kincaid keeps developing they may be a force.
  19. For better or worse this does give us a real look into the coaching staff (McDermott primarily) and organization's mindset. Inside the organization they clearly don't believe that they're losing due to coaching.
  20. Yeah! Let's get retreads instead like Vic Fangio or Arthur Smith!
  21. I guess OP falls into the loud mouth category then under your assessment. You're probably right though, the average NFL fan doesn't care, but there's enough screeching for it to be a commentary.
  22. I genuinely don't understand the energy or outcry at ~30 seconds of showing Taylor Swift in broadcast. I don't listen to her music and I have no skin in the game here, but it is bizarre how worked up some folks are getting.
  23. They're both young up and coming position coaches who have gotten a lot of interest from other teams. I'd rather have up and coming potential than Vic Fangio and Arthur Smith or McDaniels. "More of the Same" by the way is a top 5-8 team in the NFL. I know we're all sour about the way it ended again but there are 14 other teams who didn't best the Chiefs either.
