  1. Thanks for straightening us out again, Eeyore.
  2. Wondering if the bars are open in town, particularly the porch upstairs at Madigan's. I've got an overwhelming compulsion to be with my peeps on Saturday night and am considering a roadtrip.
  3. The other factor that I think needs to be taken into account is how many plays you're running. The Bills only had like 8 possessions and as a result only ran 50-something plays; meanwhile the defense's inability to get the Colts off the field resulted in the Colts offense running 70-something plays. When your opponent gets the opportunity to run 20+ more plays than you do, you're putting yourself at a distinct disadvantage, imo.
  4. My sense during the game was that the Colts were attacking personell as much as they were attacking spots on the field. This could easily be a six of one, half dozen of the other issue, though.
  5. I think you should care because every second they have it, Josh Allen does not. That affects the entire game, not just the BillsD vs ColtsO matchup.
  6. I don't watch enough football anymore to answer that with any degree of knowledge; but there's a pair of warriors in the middle of this Bama defense that would like very handsome in a Bills uni. That kid wearing the 58 is something else, but he ain't falling to us. Anybody that can make an occasional play and draw some of the constant doubles and combos off Oliver would be an instant upgrade.
  7. If he can't give us anything better than he gave us on Saturday, he needs to be watching from the sideline. I really like him and think he's an absolute baller, but he was a complete waste of a resource at the Z last week. In the regular season you can let a guy shake off the rust, work back into game shape, nurse along an injury or whatever. But now it's elimination time and there's no room for passengers. If you can't bring it on Saturday, it's time to get out of the way and make room for somebody who can.
  8. I think he's good every week (or has been since he recovered from that early season knee injury). The problem is he can't control 4 gaps by himself.
  9. That's what I saw too. Although somebody told me in the game thread I was wrong. I think I saw something where Rivers ended up averaging just under 2.5sec getting the ball out in that game. Nobody is beating that Oline in 2 seconds.
  10. We already have one in Oliver; unfortunately he's being supported by four guys who are fringe NFL players at what is arguably the most important position on the defense. I had some hope for Butler but he's maddeningly inconsistent; Jefferson, Phillips and Zimmer are just getting buried out there. I think rebuilding the DT rotation should be the Bills #1 priority this offseason and I would prefer they do it with veterans because NFL windows can be very limited and I want to see them take a run at a championship next year.
  11. They were absolutely horrible and will be the reason the Bills season ends at some point
  12. There's a whole quarter left. Punting from your own side of the 50 is not a bad play here
  13. I tried it for a change of pace and I'll just say you aren't missing anything. I thought it might be good wacky kids fun but it was more about pop stars
  14. It's neither an explanation nor an excuse, but I do remember thinking that the transition from sun to shadow in the part of the field may have had something to do with it.
  15. Those two throws he made to the sideline on that drive were perfect examples of why you have to defend more than every inch of green against this offense. Just filthy....
  16. I'd take a moral victory at this point!
  17. Two more DB's acting the fool, trying to catch a ball on 4th and forever. There should be a giant cardboard cutout of Tom Jackson in every locker room in the NFL
  18. 6 of one half dozen of hte other. It was only about a 3 yard difference
  19. I remember reading another one where jersey color was a factor in called penalties. Darker jerseys drew penalties at a higher percentage than they could explain away with other factors. The human mind is weird-assed attic
  20. oh my are they going to have the ball last?!
  21. I feel good about it too but you gotta admit, that was one frustrating day.
  22. Their run fits have been awful
  23. They did a great job executing their game plan. They knew exactly where the Bills weaknesses were and attacked them both on the gournd and in the air relentlessly while being smart about avoiding their strengths. It was a frustrating as hell day for sure. I don't want to sound like a smart ass but I'd say watch some more film. He gets more attention from D-Coordinaters than anybody on the field, week after week after week and he's still a handful out there.
