  1. Worked out ok with McVay and Tomlin.. He will be coaching in the NFL next year, book it. He’s going to have to give up being the GM, but he can/should be a coach again.
  2. How is this NOT on McD at this point, how many games of the ST play going horribly wrong can just be “communication errors” and accepted? Seriously, it’s a joke. The team was COMPLETELY unprepared for that play, should have been all in on a block, even if they decided to return, the guy HAD to field the ball and he had no clue. I’ve seen better from peewee teams. Bellicheck, your welcome.
  3. Well said. To put it another way, the Bills have a bunch of solid players and no stars. Sometimes it comes down to having that guy(s) that get it done in big moments. The difference between Allen , Mahomes and Burrow is just that, they come up big in big moments. Yes you CAN win with a solid team effort, but there’s a massive difference in the clutch when you have THAT GUY, to go get it. The Bills D doesn’t have anyone at this juncture. I love Groot, but he’s solid, not spectacular. The rest of the line is rotational talent. Bernard is a heck of a player, but often washed out and Milano just looks washed right now. Taron and Benford are both good, but we’ve seen them both beaten like a drum in the clutch too, I don’t want to take anything away from them, they are really good players, but the scheme typically doesn’t ask CBs to be big difference makers and therefore, they really aren’t, very often. The scheme will continue to keep this team squarely in purgatory while Allen is here. Bad teams will screw up enough for them to win enough to make the playoffs, but when they have to go get a stop, you can bet they won’t get it done… AGAIN.
  4. For the results we consistently see from ST, there’s no excuse to keep justifying guys being on the roster for their contributions to the ST. How many games has ST lost single handedly? I don’t have an exact count, but yesterday, if they just did their friggin job, the score would have been different.
  5. I’ll say it, he’s been more impactful with his time on the field. Statistically, they are identical and Carter is hundreds of snaps behind for the same production.
  6. Carter is already better.
  7. Exactly, this is the SAME STORY every year, if they can’t sell out to stop either the pass or the run, they can’t stop anything. It’s about as predictable as Lamar Jackson being forced to play from the pocket in the playoffs. Once the heat turns up, this D doesn’t have enough to get it done. They couldn’t stop either facet yesterday and got smoked by a .500 football team, while scoring over 40 pts, not turning the ball over and making Allen the first guy ever to post 3tds passing and 3 rushing TDs. No team should EVER lose when their QB had 400+ yards and 6 TDs vs ZERO turn overs. Allen may not be perfect, but this is just stupid.
  8. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, he’s not a difference maker, he’s GOT to have somebody taking attention away from him or he’s a nobody. That really means he’s a nobody. He’s quick for his size, but he’s still not big enough nor strong enough to be an impact player on his own. It was a wasted top 10 pick and a bad contract to extend him. He’s a rotational player in the NFL, not more. Even more exciting is the $21M cap hit for next year and a $26+M dead cap if you try to get rid of him. Great use of cap for a guy that does literally nothing more than anyone else.
  9. That just makes taking the penalty all the more idiotic, if you have a chance to get a team to 4th and long when TIME is your biggest enemy, you have to take it. Especially if your big plan is to sit in a weak zone and let them get right back to the same distance. Which the scheme showed was exactly the plan, they gave a 10 yard cushion on 3rd and 17. He’s just awful at real time decision making. Josh Allen had a record breaking performance, missing two starting receivers and you somehow want to pin this on him? Ok Sean.
  10. I don’t know, but it wasn’t great for the last 2 games. I don’t get why he’s automatically handed the job back when Williams was playing pretty well and he’s clearly not.
  11. Last I checked the HEAD Coach is the final line.
  12. THAT is why it’s on McD. You can’t take the penalty, then sit in a soft zone, letting them right back to the same place and burning clock. Absolutely stupid.
  13. Not to mention the returner then not being aware he HAS to catch the ball.
  14. Bad play Allen, had lots of yards to at least make that an easier 4th down if he ran.
  15. Josh has 5TDs and isn’t even in the game… F this D/ST
  16. That false start call being missed is huge.
  17. Nah, just a team that can run, it’s been the formula all along, the Rams are just executing It. Can’t afford to sell out to stop the run or the pass and that’s game.
  18. AJE, Milano, Hamlin and Douglas all need to take a seat.
  19. Stats don’t tell the whole story, especially points scored. The OL is a solid unit, but there is not one of those guys that anybody outside of Buffalo is calling a top of the line player. They are all good, there’s no glaring weakness, it’s a good balance. If Allen is top end talent, then nobody else is close. To be that, you have to be in the “elite” tier of talent at your position. The only guy who’s even in the discussion for top 5 at their position on O is Cook. Shakir could be debated at Slot WR, but not at WR in general. So yes, my definition of top tier is that, TOP TIER, not lower.
  20. It seems most don’t understand just how good of a situation the Bills have at back up QB. You have a former #2 overall pick, who started multiple seasons, for a couple teams and has had some success in the NFL. To have him here, cheap, is the best you can hope for. I’ll take him all day over Cooper Rush, which is what you are hoping for by throwing away a draft pick on a late round developmental guy. The odds of hitting on a guy who’s going to add any value to your team at QB, is low even in the early rounds, much less late. For every Purdy, there’s 1000 guys you can’t remember their name or never even knew it. It’s cool to hit on them, but there’s a good handful of guys playing meaningful minutes on this team, drafted in the 5th/6th rounds, give me a CB,LB, OL etc with traits and an actual chance to play.
  21. We have different definitions of “top talent” to me there is Allen, Taron, healthy Milano, Bernard and Benford is getting hard to deny. Everyone else is at least a half tier lower.
  22. They said devoid of TOP TIER talent and I’d actually have to agree on that, especially with the knowledge of the roster at the beginning of the year. Cook has definitely shown to be a special talent, some would consider top tier some might consider just a notch below that. I don’t have him as Saquon/Henry level, but he’s definitely in the next group of RBs. At WR, the talent isn’t overwhelming, even with Cooper. TE is probably the most disappointing performing group this year and a lot of us were expecting big things from Kincaid. I will give this staff and the team a LOT of credit though, this team is getting a much better whole than the sum of its parts. They have played great football as a team (most games), and haven’t put the entire burden on JA17. I think it’s fair to question if they can do it when it counts the most, but the results thus far have been very impressive.
  23. I bet he would be scary good in college. Complete control of a system, dominant D, would be awesome. I don’t believe he won’t be able to land an NFL job this cycle, if he’s willing to give up a little power, but he’s so close to the all-time wins record, it’s gotta happen. Giants with the #1 pick might just be the ticket.
