The probability of hurting somebody while driving intoxicated is the exact same for somebody who hurts someone and somebody who doesn't. Yet the charges are completely different.

The values of the MAGA movement have never been close to what democrats supported in the early 2000's. It's not like he's leaning away from the woke movement. He's inherited the entire conservative playbook.

As you were saying, most Presidents when they finish don't really show up in the headlines. They're already historic. If fame is a driver, it has limitations. Which is why we see them quietly exit to rarely be heard from again. Trumps entire life has been building his image, and his brand of success. Staying relevant in the public eye is everything. He was a democrat in his late 50's. Do you think he just had a revelation that all of his views were wrong? That god was the way? That conservative values suddenly mattered so much to him that he had to fight to become president so he could save the people? Praise Jesus! Give me a break. I doubt you believe this. Maybe you do. Maybe he just found a really disenfranchised group of people to champion and the fact that none of it is actually real is fine because in the end it works for all involved.

I don't think it's that simple. He says false statements so frequently it becomes impossible to keep up with. Not to say he's the only person in US history who has been dishonest in politics. I'm sure many are. But I have never recalled somebody at this level being so consistently dishonest in basic things. I'm not talking about things like saying Biden didn't win or bigger things the left likes to discuss. I'm talking about little interactions that happen in normal communication. I don't trust him. I don't believe his main focus or concern is for Americans. I think he uses the office of Presidency to fill a lifetime spent obsessed with money, fame, and power for himself often times at the expense of others. I don't think he cares about conservative values, religion, or the majority of the subjects his most vocal supporters agree with. It's all a vehicle to get him to the destination he wants. I don't need the left to tell me this stuff. To me it's rather obvious when you follow his life prior to being president up until the time he became president. I will also add that Biden is the last guy I want running this country. It's an absolute travesty these two candidates are the best people our political system can churn out. But whats probably even more shocking to me is that either of these people have bonified supporters.

Wanted him in Buffalo in the draft. DUI's are so weird. Two guys do the exact same thing, one can go to prison for over a decade and one can get a slap on the wrist and it's basically a roll of the dice. I wonder if the penalty was more based on the decision to do it vs the outcome if more people would be hesitant to roll the dice.

I would still give the nod to Jackson and Vick over Fields and Kaepernick for pure running ability. Vick is in the class of "we will never see that again" IMO.

I’m not the person who will hand Josh accolades that easily but he has to be the best dual threat QB. Lamar is probably two. Vick had a few electric years but wasn’t as consistent as he would need to be for this conversation. Newton also struggled with consistency. Then guys like Young, Elway, or Trakenton, while mobile, didn't threaten defenses like a true elite dual threat player would. Nobody can match Allen’s ability by land or air. He’s truly a 50/50 split and that’s probably part of what makes him great. No other dual threat guy has been that balanced.

It's not like last year with a new offensive coordinator was the first of it with him. He has Josh Allen and a fat a$$ contract so I don't know. Maybe too much to expect him to fight until the end? How hard you work doesn't always mean instant gratification or any gratification for that matter. It seems like Diggs uses work ethic as a shield to be a prick. He's also not the first highly competitive person that lost a game or several games and had to come back and get after it. If his attitude in those moments is to get a fresh start he is going to keep finding himself in those moments.

Wright started for awhile in a great era but was a weakness in many regards. I found even Sam Adams time here to be more memorable if nothing else for his pick six against Brady. Any list that does not include Ted and Pat as the top two DT's is not a good list IMO. That was a special pairing and one of the more formidable tandems of the era.

I didn't exactly the say the guy was a legend. Allens best seasons happened when he was here. That has to stand for something.

I don't think we should do things like subtract games out just better bracket the context. A higher % of Allen's playoff games have occurred in the wild card round vs any other QB being discussed here. Burrow 2 of 7 are wild card Jackson 2 of 6 are wild card Mahomes 2 of 18 are wild card Allen 5 of 10 are wild card I posted the stats for the divisional round or later upthread. Not perfect, but better. Jackson is clearly the last one at the table for this. Allen and Burrow is more of a preference in what you want. Mahomes has been better than all of them especially considering his work is so heavily based on even later than the divisional round.
